Even when the visuals remind us of so many other games, Journey To The Savage Planet has very unique ideas and its exploration mechanics are particularly remarkable. The experience is short-lived, with some major bugs, but still good, especially if you play it in co-op.- Malditos Nerds

Super Crush KO is a fun beat ‘em up that encourages us to improve our records and challenge ourselves. Despite its limitations with level design and relatively short duration, it manages to keep things fresh and entertaining.- Malditos Nerds

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot isn’t the RPG we were expecting to get, but instead a frustrating, tedious and even boring game. While we can’t grow tired of Dragon Ball story, there are certainly many other ways to enjoy it.- Malditos Nerds

Even when The White Door has some boring and awkward puzzles, its dark and surreal story is worth your time playing.- Malditos Nerds

Not everyone will find AO Tennis 2 fun since it asks the player to adapt to its peculiar gameplay, and even after a dozen hours of practice and playing, you’ll keep missing the court because of its whimsical guides. But if you look past those frustrations, you can have a good experience, especially playing with friends.- Malditos Nerds

What began as a compelling exploration of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe quickly became an endurance test. This is a peculiar, idiosyncratic game, both in its narrative structure and the many capricious design choices. I’m sad to say I can’t recommend it.- Malditos Nerds

Wattam flaunts the same absurd, childlike humor that Katamari Damacy did, setting the bases of its design in the logic of the playground, but this time Takahashi offers a different game - a miniature sandbox in which the rhythm is dictated by the player, with a fine story and dozens of lovely characters.- Malditos Nerds

Julian Gollop knows what he’s doing, and his experience lends tremendous breadth to this crowdfunded indie game. It keeps your mind busy as you try to achieve your goals in the most efficient way possible. I’ll go one step further: it’s what XCOM 2 should have been.- Malditos Nerds

Darksiders: Genesis proves that less is more. The choice of Diablo-style isometric perspective proves to be a boon, but don’t be fooled by the puzzle and adventure elements - this is an action game at heart. Strife and War are here to entertain you, and they’ll do whatever they have to do to achieve that goal.- Malditos Nerds

Beautiful art, a rousing soundtrack and an appealing combat system can’t compensate for the game’s weaknesses: poor tutorials, unintuitive mechanics, and two-dimensional characters. Fans of the series and old-school JRPG nostalgics may overlook its flaws and endure it all with a smile - I couldn’t.- Malditos Nerds

Simple controls and tactical complexity merge to achieve the year’s best wargame in Unity of Command II. It’s a game that forces you to optimize each one of your moves, like a classic board game in the style of Risk, but without the randomness. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this game, either to novices or veterans of the genre.- Malditos Nerds

This game’s high potential is squandered by poor localization and presentation. I could let it go with that usual “fans are gonna love it” cliché, but fans don’t deserve such a badly explained game. It’s like getting a beautiful model kit as a present, with only a hammer to assemble it.- Malditos Nerds

Arise’s main attraction is its story - a pleasing artistic experience. Each level symbolizes a moment of our character’s life, not only in the narrative sense, but also thematically and aesthetically. As a video game, on the other hand, Arise doesn’t add up to much, as the objectives aren’t clear enough and its controls are less responsive than they should be.- Malditos Nerds

”Wolves” is as short as it is exciting. It’ll hold our attention at every minute, and the outcome of our choices (even the ones we made in earlier episodes) is as surprising as it should be. Life is Strange 2 aims for impact and importance, and even though the game’s social justice message may be a little naive, the ending works.- Malditos Nerds

The only positive thing I can say about this game is that it convinced me to research the source material. The tabletop RPG is infinitely more interesting than this adaptation because it’s designed for human interaction - hence the name “Paranoia”. When the surprises and betrayals are scripted, the core of the game is missing. Happiness may be mandatory but, thankfully, to play this game is optional.- Malditos Nerds
