Last Stop gave us an overall pleasant experience by concocting three distinct plots with fair flavors. Precise rhythm, convincing characters, story that keeps us in suspense: there is no doubt that the Variable State studio masters its pen. What a pity that the player's freedom is so compartmentalized by its lack of impact on events and that the technical quality tarnishes the experience. The adventure will however prove to be appreciable for fervent fans of narrative games who are just waiting to discover an entertaining story.

Thanks to the beauty of its graphics and music, Astria Ascending has an undeniable charm. Far from being content to be a beautiful postcard, the title does not forget to offer solid RPG mechanics to offer a tough challenge to fans of the genre. Unfortunately, its overly classic course and ergonomic concerns make the adventure at times laborious, at least to detract from the enjoyment of the player. Nonetheless, it remains a nice title which, behind its flaws, has an atmosphere that will delight those nostalgic for old-fashioned J-RPGs.

Without being unpleasant to follow, the escapade in the psychological thriller of Twin Mirror does not manage to engage the player enough in its stakes to be completely unforgettable, even if the amateurs of the genre should still find what they are looking for.

Under its broke survival horror airs, Tormented Souls is much more solid than it looks, not least thanks to its very controlled production and atmosphere. It is with great pleasure that we walk through the corridors of a very mysterious manor, until we find ourselves faced with puzzlingly difficult puzzles, further weighed down by a map that is sorely lacking in information. The thrill of discovery then turns into a frustrating stroll, especially during a second part which requires going through most of the rooms already visited. Other flaws (animations, inventory) add to the overall weight even more, without overwhelming it. So we end up with a nice tribute to Resident Evil and Silent Hill of the time, but not especially in the face of an unmissable survival horror. To try anyway.

WitchSpring3 Re: Fine successfully enters the Nintendo machine. First, thanks to the visual and sound improvements made, which make the title a console game in its own right. Then thanks to the design of this opus, initially made for mobiles, which lends itself very well to the Switch. It allows you to get started both in short sessions and in parts of a longer duration, which is particularly suitable for those who take advantage of the nomadic aspect of the console to play as soon as they have a small niche. That said, the fault register is an optimization that lacks finishing, slowdowns and jerks follow us throughout the adventure. Nothing terribly off-putting though, WitchSpring3 is nonetheless a fun title to run through, with a combat system of unexpected depth and a story that holds up. Remains a fairly repetitive aspect which, if it can satisfy the followers of leveling up and crafting of objects, can put off the others.

Tour de France 2022 is certainly a good sports title in terms of live cycling management, but especially for fans of cyclists who are new to the license. Regulars will understand with disappointment that the new title offers few new features, such as the addition of online multiplayer to compare your score with other players or the Milan San Remo race (called Primavera Classic). For the rest, TDF 2022 keeps the same quality in the animation of the races, the consistency of the results for certain really engaging game phases, even more so if we are in FPS view. A good entertainment in parallel with the real Tour de France with almost all the real names for the riders and teams, while impatiently awaiting a redesign of the title?

It's not NieR Automata who wants it and that's what Valkyrie Elysium reminds us. Inspired by Platinum Games, the Soleil studio delivers solid gameplay that offers a wide variety of combat approaches and sequences, even if they are sometimes messy. But beyond that, this new episode of the Valkyrie saga suffers from basic and repetitive levels, a technique that is far from flawless, as well as a scenario that is far too conventional to make the experience essential. Now it's up to you to see if you are able to turn a blind eye to these flaws to take advantage of a solid combat system.

Despite a very engaging first part, Avowed disappoints and will never completely satisfy RPG fans or action-adventure fans. For a title that lasts between 30 and 40 hours, the writing is not provided enough and the action and exploration phases struggle to renew themselves. It's frankly a shame, because in the first hours, we feel that Obsidian was on to something.
