Trek to Yomi is a very beautiful cinematographic work. It doesn't have to pale before the giants who inspired it. Its use of the camera and black and white grain allow it to present us with particularly sumptuous paintings. Add to that some eye-popping fight choreography and you've got a little nugget of artistic mastery. If a game was judged by this, Trek to Yomi would undoubtedly top the charts. But unfortunately, the game is, in comparison, too little pushed in terms of gameplay. Its superfluous choices and its repetitive fights prevent it from expressing his full potential. That said, it is still worth the detour and even more so if you are sensitive to this kind of video game work.- Jeuxvideo.com

If you're a fan of Rome Total War and still play it, this remastered version will probably enchant you with its more modern controls, HD, workshop compatibility, 16 factions unlocked, and a healthy dose of nostalgia to top it off. all. In that, this remake is rather successful, especially as the formula is generally still effective. On the other hand, we must admit that certain elements show the weight of the years and in particular AI. The new interface is also not very intuitive and the graphics remain below those of Total War: Rome 2. Finally, if you do not have a particular aversion for the latter, it is rather advisable to turn to it because it is more complete on almost all points.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Mario & Luigi: The Brotherhood of the Legend, it's easy to see that Nintendo wants to offer the return of a franchise appreciated by fans without getting too wet. We find an effective combat system, still as exhilarating thanks to its modernization in both substance and form. Conversely, the story told and the illustrated environments lack a strong identity: this is also how the Mario and Luigi games have been able to shine. This overly smooth side nevertheless allows a wide audience to get into the swing of things, especially with the treatment (whether for the writing or the gameplay) of Luigi. But everyone will come up against a sea voyage shaken by multiple interruptions and repetitions. Like Ulysses in the Odyssey, Mario and Luigi arrive safely, not without a few scars. Like the Greek hero, they will need a few more exploits to hope to enter the legend once again.- Jeuxvideo.com

The “old gen” versions of Outriders do not have to be ashamed of the comparison with their counterparts on next gen consoles. The weight of the years in terms of hardware is felt in the framerate, the loading times as well as the displayed resolutions, which encroaches a little on the comfort of play without being crippling, quite the contrary. The game from People Can Fly and Square Enix retains on PS4 and Xbox One all the qualities and faults of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions, starting with a hard-hitting combat system, an intoxicating rise to power of the avatar, a mysterious planet Enoch, but also general instability responsible for several crashes.- Jeuxvideo.com

The punk-apo revolution won't happen in 2025. Building on the saga's historical qualities and seeking to iron out its flaws, Borderlands 4 shines with its artistic direction, its generosity, its RPG mechanics, its cooperative multiplayer, and the dynamism of its combat, but it comes up against a harsh reality. A looter-shooter struggles to thrive in an open world. This newfound freedom offered to Vault Hunters ends up exacerbating a pervasive feeling of repetitiveness. Fans of the genre in perpetual search for power should find what they're looking for, those eager to explore an unknown world a little less so.- Jeuxvideo.com

Very responsive, fairly faithful to its inspirations, Encased knows how to offer a complete RPG, which intelligently responds to the decisions you make. Unfortunately, the title stumbles on its combat portion, rather failed and too anchored in the past, and is sometimes confused in the follow-up of the objectives to be accomplished. A pleasant experience, but not unforgettable, therefore, reserved for fans of old-school C-RPG.- Jeuxvideo.com

The developers at WarioWare seem to have once again gone above and beyond to offer us completely insane mini-challenges in Move It!, to our delight. The title is a pretty medley that is still crazy and delirious, full of crazy ideas, coupled with the fun of motion gaming. This is enough to promise a few sessions of great fun for several people and for all ages. But it is still clear that this episode suffers from certain inequalities between these multi modes, a lack of inventiveness at times and an interest that quickly becomes limited after a few hours of session. WarioWare: Move It! is nevertheless the perfect episode to publicly embarrass yourself in ridiculous poses and that's so Wario...- Jeuxvideo.com

Bleach Rebirth of Souls is reminiscent of the cel-shaded fighting games that were all the rage in the early 2000s. While the sometimes redundant and somewhat complex approach to combat may be surprising at first, the game quickly reveals the depth of its content with a roster of 32 characters and a Campaign mode that retraces a large part of the manga. The technical aspect, on the other hand, is behind, and we should therefore not expect a title that meets current visual codes. Thirty years after Toshinden, Tamsoft is giving the Bleach license a boost in video games, and that can only please fans.- Jeuxvideo.com

Once upon a time there was a little hero who, wanting to be appreciated by all, arranged himself in the manner of the lords of his time. Charming as a prince, he invented specialties with eloquence, “a mind as sharp as a fist” he promised. But behind his pleasant features, our adventurer had a hard time hiding his limits. “Stop trying to swell up, or you will die” a lady who saw through his game said to him. That day, he understood: if he did not become a new revered ambassador, he would remain this valiant little esteemed page.- Jeuxvideo.com

Behind its colorful neon lights, Soul Hackers 2 remains an "old-school" role-playing game that strays from more recent titles in its franchise like Persona 5 Royal or Shin Megami Tensei V. Beyond its cyberpunk anime aesthetic, the Atlus' game relies on an ever-effective and proven SMT-like combat system, but also on its friendly cast of characters who stand out for their original designs. Unfortunately, the experience is served by a story that is ultimately quite simple, with some technical shortcomings, but above all by its far too basic and repetitive dungeons which struggle to stimulate the player. A title that has something to please experienced role-playing game enthusiasts.- Jeuxvideo.com

It's a small jump that Milestone offers with MotoGP 22. The official simulation of the world motorcycle speed championship is better made than the previous part, but does not manage to take the series to a new level. The fault with a graphic quality in game, with an engine which begins to age without forgetting that the license stagnates in the animations and its career mode. However, the title manages to bring interest with its new "Season Nine" mode retracing the mythical 2009 season, a convincing artificial intelligence and a split screen finally available. The Italian studio limits the damage, the benchmark title for MotoGP will wait.- Jeuxvideo.com

With its fan-service and multiple references, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R is above all dedicated to the community keen on the work of Hirohiko Araki. A pampered remaster of the eponymous title from the PlayStation 3 toy library, it offers an impressive cast and gameplay that is as technical as it is dynamic. If the balance of forces is not optimal (some characters are much more powerful than others), CyberConnect2's game has enough assets to convince fighting enthusiasts. Provided you know the manga or anime. Otherwise, Battle R may be far too hermetic for neophytes and non-connoisseurs of manga.- Jeuxvideo.com

Life is Strange: True Colors is an experience that can be appreciated in the sweetness of its journey, sublimated by shimmering colors, animations more accomplished than ever and very beautiful melodies. With this episode, Deck Nine Games chose to explore empathy from top to bottom; a preponderant aspect in the powers granted, the narration and the construction of the characters. The whole provides a very neat adventure on a human level, but which undeniably lacks a certain liveliness in its actions and the unfolding of the plot. The result is an investigation that lacks a certain panache.- Jeuxvideo.com

With its genetically modified super animals and original ideas, Super Animal Royale is a fun game that we come back to regularly. The fights are short, intense and perfectly suited for novice players who want to discover the world of Battle Royale. Loads are quick, so games can be played back and forth without the frustration of being knocked out. The map, well drawn, offers enough hideouts and various locations to surprise the opponent and climb to the top of the rankings. Hoa asserts itself as a nice little independent parenthesis, at the crossroads between the gameplay of Ori and an artistic direction at studio Ghibli. The latter is also a success in every way, whether in terms of sets, chara design or animation. A colorful dreamlike epic galvanized by Johannes Johansson's musical composition. Unfortunately if the visual is inspired and inspiring, it just lacks a dose of challenge and innovation in the gameplay to make the platform unforgettable. Two elements that can only be found in the conclusion of the work, enough to leave regrets.- Jeuxvideo.com

It is true that the absence of tutorials and the one and only map could be brakes, but these flaws in no way mar an experience worth discovering.- Jeuxvideo.com

Clearly, Starlink: Battle for Atlas is repetitive and its storytelling is more than conventional. But the dogfight and the big open world are just so much fun. A good addition to the toys/video games cross-over.- Jeuxvideo.com

What an adventure! Hogwarts Legacy is definitely the game that all Harry Potter fans have been waiting for. But the Nintendo Switch version struggles to offer us an experience as magical as at the start of the year. Be careful, it is not catastrophic and sometimes even quite impressive. But the stunning moments are ultimately quite rare. The visuals are not only less beautiful but above all not consistent, while the loading times considerably weigh down the gaming experience. Other than that, the gameplay and the experience remain generally unchanged. Suffice to say that if you have already played Hogwarts Legacy on another platform, it is not worth looking into the Nintendo Switch version. As for players who only have this support to immerse themselves in the universe of the wizarding world, they will still be able to benefit from a fairly honest version which offers a fairly good gaming experience overall. No disaster, no real good surprise on the agenda.- Jeuxvideo.com

While it splits its gameplay in two with competitive online and the possibility of realistic (slower and animated) offline, the ex-FIFA won't calm players' frustrations. The reasons are the rivers of scorelines and scenarios still too much in favor of attacking dribblers, ordeals for defenders or AI goalkeepers. Among the satisfactions, we will still note the accomplished Manager Career mode with Live careers to prolong the fun, even if the lack of inspiration and renewal in the cinematics or licenses will weigh on the regulars. With the potential future competition from FIFA for the World Cup or Take-Two on the football game scene, not to mention a Football Manager 26 that promises to be Dantesque, EA FC will have to reinvent itself or go further to regain momentum in the years to come.- Jeuxvideo.com

We immediately like Nobody Wants to Die for its controlled and simply sublime cyberpunk film noir atmosphere. We come back for the fabulous choices of staging, the animated universe and the gargantuan settings in which we could get lost for hours. The game nevertheless suffers from a handful of flaws in its narrative, its frustrating gray areas and the absence of a journal in which we could have kept track of convoluted affairs. The walking sim remains pleasant to navigate as a whole but its few mechanics are also regrettably too interventionist.- Jeuxvideo.com

A visual tribute to Mœbius, Sable seduces first of all with its captivating features and colors. He is also granted an exploration rich in great freedom and some gripping mysteries. But the sawtooth technique is terribly lacking on the trip. And the universe lacks a certain consistency, struggling to engage us completely during its long stroll.- Jeuxvideo.com

Among Us can definitely provide you with pleasant evenings of manipulation and treachery with friends. It has ingredients that will appeal to the greatest number with an already popular concept. However, the formula may run out of steam quickly if it does not incorporate new features. Also, let's hope that the developers come to grips with the particularly annoying server bugs. The room for improvement is wide, and there is no doubt that InnerSloth will be able to change the game by honoring the proposals it provides.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Operation: Tango, Clever Plays delivers here a refreshing production that will satisfy lovers of cooperative experiences. The game, with its mastered asymmetric gameplay, simply offers two totally different and yet complementary ways to play. Unfortunately, the proposal, while short, runs out of steam somewhat over time, repeatedly featuring the same mini-games or introducing increasingly confusing objectives. Despite its small flaws, the little creation deserves your full attention, especially if you are looking for an experience to punctuate one or two evenings of your summer vacation.- Jeuxvideo.com

If it is a little shorter than its predecessor, this second Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC is nevertheless more interesting. This is due in particular to the gripping atmosphere of this afflicted Francia, governed by a king who has lost his mind. With its striking atmosphere and striking characters, this historical extension offers us a more complex experience than it seems. Add to that a little welcome return to basics and the qualities of the initial title, and you get a new gripping adventure for Eivor, although hampered by the absence of a seat worthy of the name and real novelties.- Jeuxvideo.com
