Are you looking for a platform game that is both colorful and original? Then Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is probably for you! On this compilation which brings together the first two opuses of the Klonoa series, Bandai Namco and the Monkey Craft studio deliver a solid redesign work, especially notable on the founding part. Despite a simple technique, the levels are colorful and very enjoyable to navigate. Of course, the level design remains that of a title from the end of 1990 and the beginning of 2000, which is felt in particular on Klonoa 1. Despite everything, the epic is enchanting and finds its climax during the second episode. In short, a nice nostalgic parenthesis!

Void Bastards is more than just a beautiful game, it also has a smart mix of rogue-lite and shooter. It’s a funny little game offering many tactical choices but it doesn’t go much further, and soon becomes repetitive.

11-11 Memories Retold focuses on two different fates and is more intimist than Valiant Hearts: the Great War. It takes some distance with historic reality to tell a well written and luminous tale. Maybe too luminous, though.

Cronos: The New Dawn isn't the masterpiece it was hoped for, but it's a crucial milestone in Bloober Team's evolution. At times frenzied, often distressing, it embodies the sincere desire of a studio determined to overcome its mistakes and forge a true identity, even if its homages remain too obvious. A demanding, slow, and heavy survival horror, it doesn't seek to seduce but to oppress. An experience that is especially striking for its mastery of the codes of a genre that its creators now know like the back of their hand.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is an experience that is both very family-friendly and accessible. Two boxes ticked brilliantly. The game is beautiful, generous, offers great sensations and can easily please all ages despite its few game design flaws. TT Games undoubtedly offers the ultimate LEGO Star Wars experience for all fans of the series as well as an ideal entry for the youngest into galactic adventures.

Those who had tasted the previous remake will be delighted to learn that Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed corrects many shots: the experience is based on a funnier and denser narration, on a rich gameplay and an overall feeling more fluid, more modern. This is obviously due to the original game which, at the time in 2006, had been able to rise a level but the redesign work is also appreciable: the graphic aspect sometimes delivers some nice surprises, despite bugs and problems techniques to highlight. We had a frankly pleasant time and in its finality, this second adventure testifies to a very good mood to be devoured without moderation.

Ten after its initial release, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is still a really good game, and the few improvements Stellar Entertainment has brought to refresh it a bit. Nervous, easy to learn and rather dense thanks to the addition of DLC, the title fits without much difficulty in a market where purely arcade racing games are rare, despite an aging general structure.

Ultimately, to our greatest regret, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora blows hot and cold. Focused on its mission to immerse us in a fascinating universe, something it accomplishes brilliantly, Ubisoft's game gives the feeling of remaining too dependent on its flagship formula in terms of first-person shooter games. The know-how is undeniable and it shows, but the Ubisoft Massive title accumulates too many unnecessary activities, to the point of losing sight of its main objective and harming itself. If it indeed pushes the boundaries of James Cameron's adaptation by taking us to unknown lands, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, despite its undeniable qualities of immersion, comes up against the barriers that separate entertaining video game experiences from resounding releases and other video game references.

By leveraging the power of the franchise and accessible gameplay, Pokémon Unite has established itself as a successful MOBA. Simple without being simplistic, it can be a perfect entry point for newbies. However, it's pretty clear that Tencent's title will need to inflate its content in the coming months to keep players engaged. As it stands, the low number of Pokémon limits the situations encountered and may make games boring. Still, Pokémon Unite already has a solid foundation and is just waiting for content to evolve into a staple of its kind with the general public.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is the guarantee of discovering an original game wrapped in a particularly stylish universe. We like the idea of integrating traditional dances into a world of Japanese folklore which mixes with very elegant choreography and a particularly pleasant bestiary to discover. The game reserves some good surprises to renew a gameplay loop that maintains the same structure from start to finish, missing the boat in some of its aspects, such as balancing and the progression of the main character. Kunitsu-Gami finally proves to be rather clever in its strategic proposal, with its different systems, its day/night cycle and its limited resources. The artistic direction is magnificent and it is a pleasure to discover or rediscover the characters and iconic moments of one of the best episodes of the series. We would have liked to see Grezzo improve or further deepen the experience in terms of additions and content and it will have to do with a "vintage" lifespan and some archaic concepts, but that does not detract from the innate charm of this opus.

Despite the precision of the reflections provided by the “graphics” mode, we especially appreciated a “performance” mode capable of bringing an epic to life in 60fps. Thus, exploring the Office and the many clashes becomes more enjoyable than ever. The included DLCs extend an adventure that retains the same qualities and flaws as in 2019. If you're still new to Jesse Faden's story, it might be time to catch up.

Biomutant is what we expected from it, no more and no less, namely a generous project, steeped in good intentions, and which, through his atypical vision of Action-RPG, breathes a breath of fresh air into the genre. The studio title Experiment 101 is an ode to the exploration of a colorful post-apo universe, karmic destiny, avatar customization, and martial arts. It is difficult, it is true, to concretize these different aspects and to merge them. The fact remains that this experience, equal to no other, changes, surprises, and throws off to the point of becoming memorable. However, it is necessary to ignore a technical achievement which is clearly behind schedule and a progression that is sometimes too interventionist.
