Overall I enjoyed the Kingdom Hearts 3 Re:Mind DLC and finding out about the endings and what it could hold for the future of the series. The Re:Mind DLC was not long, but I didn’t really expect it to be long at all as it was just neat wrap up to a great story so far. The Limit Cut Episode brought a lot of questions, and I have so much speculation with how it ended, which I’ll not state here in order to avoid spoilers. I did not like high level requirements for the Limit Cut Episode, but I love the game so I will level up to unlock the endings for myself. Either way, the KH3 Re:Mind DLC was very cinematic with its cutscenes, and a very enjoyable DLC for a very enjoyable game.

So is it worth it… well clearly I don’t think so. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty, it sounds good and there is a charm to the characters… but the DLC really doesn’t add much to the main game and what it does add is kind of just punishment in one form or another. Maybe if you are a hard core fan and just want as much of this IP as you can get… otherwise, there are better things to spend your money on.

In terms of gameplay, the new boss fights are a huge chunk of the challenging content, and they're a ton of fun to play. If you enjoyed Kingdom Hearts III's combat enough to want to see it at its best, then Re Mind is for you. The Organization XIII fights alone are worth the price of admission in this case. If not, then $30 is difficult to justify for what amounts to a couple of add-ons to cut scenes that you've seen before and boss fights that you might not be able to beat.

Kingdom Hearts III : ReMIND delivers an enjoyable but short experience specifically designed for the hardcore fans of the game.

It’s not entirely devoid of meaningful revelations, but the questions left unanswered before Re Mind are still far more interesting than any of the new ones it raises.

Even as a longtime fan of the series who adored Kingdom Hearts 3, it's hard to muster up any sort of enthusiasm for Re:Mind. What's more, Re:Mind made me understand Kingdom Hearts 3's story even less, which is a testament to how bonkers it really is. It's not all that surprising this happened; after all, it's Kingdom Hearts. Nevertheless, Re:Mind is an incredibly peculiar expansion that simultaneously falls flat and partially obscures the brilliance of Kingdom Hearts 3.

    All hail King Mickey!

This DLC gave some much needed spotlight to many characters that didn’t get a chance to shine in the original KH3, and the gameplay enhancements + new boss fights are some of the best in the entire series, right up there with KH2:FM!

The return of Final Fantasy characters was really nice to see as well.

Also, the photo mode is much more engaging and robust than I thought it would be, and it’s a lot of fun just to walk around in places like Radiant Garden and Destiny Islands again!

    UPDATE:
So I've finished the entirety of the DLC now, the data fights are really good and are closer to what I would have liked from the rest of the DLC, so I'm bumping my score from a 4 to a 5. It's not enough for me to justify the price tag - half a new retail game - for ~10 hours of content, a lot of which is rehashed. What interesting developments are added at the end of the DLC are dwarfed by the myriad problems of ReMIND. This should be $15-20 for all that you're getting, and all of my issues from the original review still stand.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Simultaneously fills in the gap left at the very end of the game, explains some of the events, and acts as a slightly alternate ending? It feels almost entirely unneeded, as the events towards the end of the game felt like they stood on their own.

It's disappointing just how much of this is recycled content. There are a small handful of new segments and they were fun on their own, but for the most part you're just playing the end of the game all over again and the experience wore me down.

The new characters actually feel very good and were a lot of fun, it just felt weird rubber banding back and forth between my ridiculously overpowered Sora who melts bosses in mere seconds and the alternate characters having some difficulty with the fights.

As of writing this I have yet to beat the secret chapter (Featuring fights 100x harder than anything in ReMIND), but this feels hardly substantial as a $30 DLC. It only lasts 4 hours, it's almost all stuff you've done before, and doesn't add much to the story. If you're coming for the story, just watch it on YouTube, but if you want the secret chapter I might wait for a price drop.

Will edit this after beating the final chapter, hope that gives me a little more bang for my buck.

    - Redo Kh3 on Critical mode;

Id recommend just catching this stuff on YouTube. It feels like this content should have just been a patch.

You have to watch the entire ending AGAIN with the missing scenes added. It's such a mess, it's like you're describing a fever dream of a persons fan fiction, what this game probably actually IS! The voice acting is terrible and the conclusion to one of the most popular character " lingering will" just ends, just like that within 5 seconds and pretend that he never existed or pay attention how he could even exist.

The only good Parts is the final battle with all characters and the super Bosses with Organisation 13. But until that point I already lost any interest in completing the DLC, after finding out that the final fantasy characters where just there for the Trailer. They are not relevant AT ALL. This game spits on everything that made it so beloved in the first place. I lost any interest in playing any KH game ever again.

Overpriced! The content should have come with the game! KH3 was disappointing! This did not make up for it!
