The voice acting is terrible and the conclusion to one of the most popular character " lingering will" just ends, just like that within 5 seconds and pretend that he never existed or pay attention how he could even exist.

The only good Parts is the final battle with all characters and the super Bosses with Organisation 13. But until that point I already lost any interest in completing the DLC, after finding out that the final fantasy characters where just there for the Trailer. They are not relevant AT ALL. This game spits on everything that made it so beloved in the first place. I lost any interest in playing any KH game ever again.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is not a dlc. It's just the directors cut version of the last 4th of the original game. Definitely has no right asking for 30$. This did not fix any of the problems with the gameplay or clear up the story. It also did not even add to the story. Essentially you play as Sora on his journey to save his bae. But you're basically just playing through things you've already played through with a couple new scenes and some new lore. None of the fights are particularly entertaining or challenging. All the Fighting is separated by 30 minute cutscenes. Square really **** this one up. Expand

Yeah, just like Twilight Town: 2 areas, ridiculous and outrageous. Secret Episode is not an Episode like BbSFM's Secret Episode, but just a boss fight: thank you for scamming us. A complete ripoff at $30. The DLC adds new story content and super boss battles. The remaining hour and a half of actual new content was decent enough, but not terribly interesting. You get one small world to explore with no new enemies except the final boss.

The only real redeeming quality of this DLC is the new super boss battles, which are only going to be fun if you're into the challenge. Even if you like super bosses, it's hard to justify the $30 price tag to fight them. If this DLC was priced at $10 I'd feel a little bummed out about it for the severe lack of story content, but at $30 I feel completely roped off.

Simple fact is this, if you were to go back in time and make Kingdom Hearts without Disney properties and i was just a real time combat JRPG, it would have never had a third game. The storytelling is such absolute garbage. I am an Anime fan and often am forced to ignore garbage plots and dialog for the sake of getting through a series. However, KHIII -Remind is downright painfully stupid. Like, downright embarrassing to think about having someone walk into the room during it's many exposition dumps. I guess it's o.k. If you are too lazy to watch the "secret ending" on YouTube, but let us be honest. KH fans would buy dog feces if it came in a Sora and Mickey themed paper bag so....

The game itself isnt bad, its just so overpriced. almost the same price as mhw iceborne but 1/100th of the content. This feels like a 10 euro dlc, It also wasnt tat expensive to make since its basically reused conten for most of it. areas you've been to, bosses you've seen etc. Most of the value in the dlc are the special bosses.

So the patch before the DLC changed a few end-game cutscenes, added a couple keyblades. I feel that THAT was more worth than this $30 DLC. Whelp, my patience couldn't hold out for a single day and I bought it right as it came out. I kept getting confused because I was playing the end of the game again for a couple of hours, though it looked a little different (due to the free, base game patch). Then I beat the game again, and load into a room with a few of the Final Fantasy characters, who give me some lame excuse to go into the computer and fight stronger versions of bosses I've fought before.

I LITERALLY only made an account on metacritic to come and say how this is the most expensive, most useless DLC I've ever purchased. Seriously, unless you just want a challenge, just watch the cutscene clips (super short) for the new stuff on YT. And even if you want a good fight, I wouldn't spend more than $5-$10 on this. I have never been so disappointed with cost-to-content in a video game!

Not only is the DLC mostly just the final hours with some cutscenes sprinkled in, you don't get to choose freely whom you play as. Sometimes you will have a choice between Sora and some other character... but only for their 'canon' fight. Some characters you can't really play at all unless you consider being stuck to one spot and pressing X and occasionally blocking as that.

There is so little gameplay outside boss battles that you can get it done in 10 minutes without rushing. The only "new" world is Scala ad Caelum, but it too is restricted to two tiny districts of one island. There is hardly anything new in this DLC unless you love battling tougher versions of Real Organization XIII members. Radiant Garden is present only as a tiny room where the Restoration Committee are.

I feel bad having paid for this.

Even if this was good, it's nowhere near the amount of content that one would imagine getting for 30 bucks. It fails on that alone, but also falls prey to the KH series worst pitfalls of story. Thankfully the boss battles do deliver, though the chance to play as other characters falls flat, considering they all control worse than Sora by leaps and bounds. Or lack thereof. Seriously how overly complex and inexplainable can someone make an E10+ game? This DLC confused me even more and made me care so very little about what’s happening to the characters now. This constant having to go off to save someone is getting tiresome. Yes Sora saved everyone and now everyone is off to save Sora. I’m assuming that’s the theme of the next game (seriously it’s taken 4 games to tell the main story?). But I digress and am moving on to my review of this pitfall of a DLC. Before starting this DLC, grab your notes and data charts from every single game before this. From the initial 40 minute cutscene at the very beginning that this is aimed towards die hard fans who have spent time analyzing the complex web of stories and breadcrumbs, woven and dropped into the overarching dark seeker saga theme. I even got that glazed expression as the scene dragged on. You start at the end of the game, having to go through the EXACT same gameplay with Organization XIII members. The plus? You are able to choose who to fight them as. The negative? Choosing anyone but Sora leaves you with a half powered sidekick who you barely get any time to learn their fighting styles. By the time you do get to feel the tendril of enjoyment utilizing a new character, the battle is over and you’re moving onto the next area. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat. What would have been interesting is if the player was able to follow their chosen characters path all up until everyone came together. (My biggest gripe in KH3 is the ZERO enemies spawning outside of the boss rushes. This is the final world. In every game leading up to the final boss fights we had enemies spawning that made returning and running around the world enjoyable). Exploring the beautiful Scala ad Caelum was pointless beyond finding those pieces of Kairi. You could actually fight enemies here to my surprise and momentary glee. But so what?

Moving on. We get the one chance to play as Kairi and run into the same problem we had before. Could be fun but was kinda basic and short. Although I will say that it was nice seeing her explore different things with Sora. Her character has been so flat before and this is somewhat giving her a chance. Emphasis on somewhat. The only line I remember her saying is ‘this is so pretty!’ Even with this DLC she’s unfortunately a forgettable character. The guardians of light team up was one of the best additions to this content. Their partnerships were well executed and you can see their connections with one another. I enjoyed this part the most out of everything honestly. This was very well done and brought that thrill I was yearning for. For all of your work however you have to watch the same ending all over again... BUT WAIT. There’s more!

Limitcut is unlocked. Another maddening boss rush of over powered juggernauts that will truly test the battle hardened players. Most casual gamers will not complete this and traverse to YouTube. That said, My square button took a beating. Be prepared to see the game over screen many times. The outcome of overcoming this gauntlet and defeating (or being killed by) the hardest boss in this series is great. It alludes to a new chapter that will hopefully conclude this game that needed to end back at KH2.

But for all of that, this $30 DLC is severely cosmetic in its contents. It wows the player with dazzling visuals, heart pumping music and new photo ability, but underneath it all is a righteous mess of a convoluted story. TLDR
If you’re an avid Kingdom Hearts fanatic and must have every installment then this is definitely geared towards you. Others, not so much. It’s up to you if you see spending your $30 on a copy cut paste endgame with some added extras that provide little excitement. I’ve been a fan for a long time but this... It feels like Square Enix just sold me the rehashed ending at an overly inflated price. There’s no real value and overall this is why I rated it so low.

KH3 Re: Mind expands the story of the final stretch of KH3 by giving some "answers" in a way that Nomura loves, halfway. Do not expect great revelations in this part, that, as always, will expand it in other games and, surely, not even there will give a clear answer (See all the **** Unchained story arc that has already been four years and has hardly resolved anything).

His fetish with which we look at the box is almost morbid, I do not know if in Limit or later they tell you what is inside, but that reminds you at the beginning of the DLC itself that exists and that what is inside is super mysterious and then not tell you anything It makes me nervous (And remember that it is an element that has been seen since KH Unchained, so he has been talking about the box for three or four years).

Limit cut, subjectively, I don't like it because of the peak of difficulty they have put in, it gives me that it is because they are the same fights that they programmed in Maestro but taking away statistics, and that shows that the issue of difficulty in KH3 has been taken by EVIL since the beginning. At the beginning it was "an easier game for everyone to play and pass on the story" (said by a member of the KH3 team) but now, suddenly, that does not matter even if you play even in passive, Limit Cut does not You pass if you do not become a pro player, and there is story about the game so they comment.

Objectively it seems to me the best that the DLC has, fighting against challenging bosses that will let you squeeze your combos and skills as you had not seen so far, but that does not automatically make it 10, Re: Mind comes in this DLC and is a " fudge "to increase the duration and to be able to put in the trailer that you play with other characters (That removing one or two fights, it is not worth it).

I recommend that if what you want is history, you watch videos on YouTube, if on the contrary you want a challenge in terms of gameplay it refers (which is a bit sad that you have to pay so that finally a boss kills you in Expert ) I would recommend that you wait to see if they lower it, because that challenge is not worth the 30 they ask for.

However, in reality, half that time is 90% a repeat of the end of the original Kingdom Hearts, with a few extra scenes thrown in, that you have to play through AGAIN. It is very tedious. There is not much in the way of new content here, particularly in terms of gameplay; the little new gameplay that is present is mostly just a rehash of what you’ve done before, though there are a couple new bosses.

The game also tries to show off the rest of the keyblade masters who were with you, having them fight a bunch of Xehanort clones while Sora was battling with Master Xehanort. Unfortunately, while this is the most significant new content, it is also pretty bad; the mass battle is extremely simplistic and, while flashy, is not particularly interesting it terms of gameplay. Playing as Mickey, which should have been a highlight, is literally just a quick time event, and while I appreciated the chance to play as Mickey, this wasn’t the chance I was hoping for, as it wasn’t very good either.

Once you’ve fought your way through everything, the ending plays again, and is only barely different.

As the end of the game wasn’t great the first time, playing through it a second time (and in some ways, a THIRD time, as part of it was a repeat from the part that actually repeats in the MAIN GAME due to time travel shenanigans) was even worse.

The only good part of this was that the hidden motivations of a couple characters were shown off a bit more – but in the end, this wasn’t worth the tedium, and some of the “hidden motivations” weren’t really that hidden to begin with and just took up time.

After you’ve beaten the game AGAIN, the rest of the play time is fighting your way through 14 post-game bosses, 12 of which are, in theory, repeats.

In reality, these boss fights are basically new; while they do draw a little on the main game, the way that these fights play out is wildly different. These fights are designed to be hard and actually challenge your skill at the game, and they succeed at this; even at level 99, these fights will often kill you repeatedly. About a third could be beaten on the first attempt, and a few more in the first couple tries, but a number were quite hard, with three taking an hour or more each.

Two of the fights – Xion and the secret final boss – are entirely new, and not represented anywhere else in the game. These are also the two hardest fights, and were, in a sense, the most fun – though unfortunately, they were also the most frustrating, as they showed off some of the weaknesses of the combat system, like the item animations being interruptible and the fact that, once in the air, you only get one dodge, which means that it can be easy for enemies to combo you, making you feel helpless.

On the other hand, they do actually require you to master the game a bit, which is in sharp contrast to the entirety of the main story of the game.

Overall, all 14 of these fights are the best 14 fights in the entire game – they actually add mechanics to make each fight mechanically interesting, rather than the mostly boring fights with the keyblade wielders in the main campaign. All of them show off the various characters’ special powers, and the enemies feel distinct from each other in their attack patterns and the challenge they represent.

But it just isn’t worth it. Playing through the entirety of KH3 is bad enough, but fighting through the end of that game AGAIN is just tedious. And for that, you get 14 boss fights which are fun for people like me who enjoy hard games like Cuphead, but which many players will likely not be able to beat due to the high challenge level presented – and given how easy Kingdom Hearts 3 is, the game does a very poor job of preparing people for these bosses, and they may alienate players who find the main game to be of a more reasonable difficult.

I can’t really recommend this to anyone. People who are actual hardcore players will hate Kingdom Hearts 3 for how easy it is, making this DLC a moot point, and even people who played through KH3 will find it tedious and boring, and may find the bosses too hard.

Overpriced! The content should have come with the game! KH3 was disappointing! This did not make up for it!

Cool bought a $60 half assed game and now I pay $40? NO! KH1 and KH2 had light years of effort, hell even DDD and BBS where great! Square you best put some love into FF7.

The gameplay in Comparison to the older titles such as KH1and KH2 is still the best to me if you feel other wise please do your self a favor and play KH1 and KH2, you’ll see and feel a huge difference in effort and true

I consider myself as a Kingdom Hearts fan, but this was a straight failure for me. Almost no new stories. Just recycling stuff from before + boss fights. Never been as disappointed to Square Enix. Now for the first time since KH1, they have to win me back.

Re:Mind could have been an additional world, or a new chapter to shorten the wait until the next game. Instead it’s more of the same, often literally so. A missed opportunity. [Issue#173, p.96]

So is it worth it… well clearly I don’t think so. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s pretty, it sounds good and there is a charm to the characters… but the DLC really doesn’t add much to the main game and what it does add is kind of just punishment in one form or another. Maybe if you are a hard core fan and just want as much of this IP as you can get… otherwise, there are better things to spend your money on.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind is designed for true fans of the series, being the Final Mix that fans were waiting for. But its high price, even for the most loyal ones, is undoubtedly its weakest and most critical point.
