With a very well made atmosphere, a good storyline and a high quality Jazz soundtrack, Compulsion Game's title takes the player in a very seductive world. But the true strong point of the game is in its addictive gameplay, the possibility to shift between 2D and 3D serves both the game and the story by providing us with a peep of the real world, seen through a game of shadows. Without being flawless, Contrast manages to be a very good platform game that will win the hearts of most gamers for sure.- JeuxActu

Like the first épisode, Little Nightmares 2 plays on childhood fears to distill a particularly unhealthy and disturbing atmosphere. Going open-world is now a fashion rule for all the racing games, and DriveClub is kind of a rebel from this point of view. But offering only closed tracks is absolutely not a problem here, as the game distinguishes itself with its thrilling sensation of pace. It's true that we'd have appreciated more subtlety in the driving and less rubbish in the collisions but DriveClub is at least accessible to everyone. Visually well-shaped, Evolution Studios' game is lacking a good AI and this little bit of craziness... Fortunately, the players can count on the included online functions to compensate.- JeuxActu

We'd like to give a greeting to Ultra Street Fighter 4 but we doubt that a wider audience can enjoy the few technical changes in it. It would maybe have been better in a free update? Fair enough, it comes with five new characters, but only one is a real surprise... And this version comes with glitches of its own, so it's the most complete iteration, but not the perfect one. It's perhaps time for Street Fighter 5.- JeuxActu

In 2025, Xenoblade Chronicles X is no longer just another forgotten Wii U RPG: it's a videogame manifesto brought up to date, a singular work that finally finds the setting it deserves on Nintendo Switch. Where so many modern productions rely on cinematic narrative or immediate gratification, Monolith Soft's title dares to offer something else: a truly free open world, non-linear progression, gameplay that demands investment, and above all, a vision. That of an uncompromising RPG.- JeuxActu

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is very close to Dear Esther, to Twin Peaks in the atmosphere, but it offers real gameplay, something fresh and new for this style of game. The first-person view and the freedom given to the player assist relatively simple but always rewarding puzzles. Above all, we can only assess the very high quality of the graphics and the talented artistic direction. OK, it's not very long to play, but it's not very expensive either, so there's no reason to ignore it.- JeuxActu

For the first time, you can really be the Batman and it's a exhilarating feeling. Moonlighter is an incredibly enjoyable jaunt through some interesting ideas and some fun fights. While the combat gets a little easy as you progress, the fun of watching money pour in as you play is immensely satisfying. It would be nice if there was more reason to play after completion as is normally the case with roguelites, but equally having an actual conclusion is a breath of fresh air for the genre. Outlast is the pleasant surprise of fall 2013, a true survival-horror game with an olds-chool gameplay and a very scary atmosphere. Fear is what it's all about and that's what you're going to find inside Mount Massive Asylum, and it already makes the game a success. With a very well made storyline in spite of a touchy ending, Outlast is definitely a reference title rivaling with Amnesia or Forbidden SIREN. In spite of some problems which are due to the tight development budget, hence the small retail price of 20€, the game will provide gamers with a deep dive into the most dark horrors, which will make you forget the minors faults that Red Barrels let slip pass. A title that will scare future PS4 owners for sure!- JeuxActu

With no change to the game whatsoever, Capcom gives us an essential and intemporal game as Resident Evil 4 HD and still dominates other titles it has inspired. At last out on PC after years of begging from fans, this game is clearly the definitive edition of the title, with a motherload of content and a welcome graphics-lifting. We enjoy meeting Leon, Ada, Ashley, Saddler and Salazar again in their roles, and with a 20€ pricetag on Steam, this is tremendous value. With Pragmata, Capcom comes in with a pretty bold idea, a dual gameplay system where shooting and hacking happen at the same time, and honestly, it works really well. The whole dynamic between Hugh and Diana is easily the highlight, and once the hacking clicks, the fights feel fast, tense, and really fun. The game is at its best when everything flows together, Hugh feels great to control, super mobile, and Diana’s hacking system becomes pretty natural after a while. That contrast between the two is really what makes the game stand out. But yeah, it’s not perfect. The progression gets repetitive, the game is pretty easy overall, and the bosses, while cool-looking, don’t really push you that much. Story-wise, it’s also pretty standard. There are a few nice moments between Hugh and Diana, but overall it’s a bit predictable, and sometimes a little cheesy. Still, for the gameplay alone, Pragmata is worth checking out, just don’t expect it to last more than about 10 hours.- JeuxActu

After completing the first episode of this Bioshock Infinite: Burial at Sea, it clearly appears that mixing Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite universes was a very good idea indeed, and maybe the best reason for a solo DLC. Dead Island 2 is not doing too badly, especially for a development that started more than 10 years ago. But we obviously cannot ignore all the archaism of its game design. Whether it's the overall structure of the game (several small, very down-to-earth open areas, without any possibility of verticality), its basic and repetitive gameplay, Dead Island 2 can put off some players. Despite these major flaws, the title of Deep Silver still manages to appeal to our primary instincts, namely to slaughter zombies with such graphic violence that it becomes enjoyable.- JeuxActu

It's a strange feeling to play this Donkey Kong Country Returns HD. The gaming experience is both exciting and frustrating. Exciting because replaying this adventure fifteen years ago has remained almost intact. Apart from a few aspects of the gameplay that have aged badly (because the gameplay was originally built for the Wiimote and Nunchunk) and its bosses that are still disappointing (like in 2010, it hasn't changed), the game still shines with its ingenious game design, its well-crafted level design and its gameplay that is still as square. Where Donkey Kong Country Returns HD disappoints is in its basic, almost lazy adaptation. Apart from the HD smoothing, it's the same game in every way, and it's true that in 2025, some models have aged. And then, we would have also liked Nintendo to offer us exclusive content for this Switch version, as was the case when the game was released on 3DS in 2013.- JeuxActu

Cronos The New Dawn is Bloober Team’s most ambitious project, heavily inspired by survival horror classics. Its post-apocalyptic Polish setting, retro-futuristic art style, and oppressive atmosphere are impressive highlights, showing the studio’s talent for building immersive, unsettling worlds. Yet the game struggles with rigid, outdated gameplay, clunky combat, and puzzles that feel too simplistic. Its reliance on Dead Space, Resident Evil, and Silent Hill leaves little room for true innovation, preventing it from becoming a genre-defining title. While not the breakthrough it aims to be, Cronos marks an important step for Bloober Team. For such a small price, Olli Olli is a nice surprise. Pixel art is trendy and the game cashes on this to bring back "try and die" skateboarding gameplay. With 50 levels and 250 challenges, you may stick to your console for longer than expected sessions. It's a pity Olli Olli doesn't include true multiplayer modes.- JeuxActu

Eagle Flight is pretty much everything we want from a VR game. A fun concept with a great gameplay and no motion sickness. The only real drawback is the very light content for a 40€ game.- JeuxActu

Almost 25 years after The Secret of Monkey Island, Tim Schafer proves that point'n click games are still very lively. Even if it's not completely finished, Broken Age deserves his successful campaign on Kickstarter. We can only hope that the second part of the journey, in April, will be as good as this one. If it could resolve some technical problems and level up the challenge, it could be really great.- JeuxActu

Hotline Miami 2 is the rightful heir to the previous games as nothing really changes. The games remains a good loaf of fun and it should delight those who liked the first episode.- JeuxActu

Oh...Sir! The Insult Simulator is a small very funny game. Of course after a few hours the fun wears out and the scoring system seems a bit random, but the pricetag is so cheap that we can't say it's a ripoff.- JeuxActu

Faithful to the series, in its qualities as in its defaults, this new episode of Sniper Elite 5 hardly surprises. The faithful who were waiting for the full of innovations or a huge technical leap will therefore be at their expense. But this status quo also has its advantages. It is the guarantee of highly pleasing kill cams, an open and proven level design, numerous infiltration mechanics and, above all, fun and realistic sniping gameplay.- JeuxActu

The Cave is clearly the 2013 heir to mythic LucasArts point'n click games of the early 90's. The fun in the writing and the great balance of the puzzles will surely make you feel nostalgic if you're 30 or more. As simple as efficient, Double Fine's game could have done better technically and some players won't be patient enough to keep round tripping again and again. Others could well feel like playing Day of the Tentacle again.- JeuxActu

Even if Shinsekai isn't a revolutionary game, it's still a fresh and enjoyable entry in the metroidvania genre. It would have been better with a less cryptic narrative and a simpler AI though.- JeuxActu

Finally we get our hands onto Fire Emblem Gaiden in Europe. With Fire Emblem Echoes : Shadows of Valentia Nintendo brings back to life what's only a spin-off in Japan. While not the newest of games it still offers a very good game to the tactical-RPG fan.- JeuxActu

It took 20 years for Peach to be the main character in her own game again, the last one dating back to 2005 and we were on Nintendo DS. Times have changed, as have morals and Nintendo has understood this well with Princess Peach Showtime, which also stands out from Mario by moving away from the classic platformer. Here, it is more of an adventure designed to highlight the many abilities of the character, capable of changing outfits as well as gameplay, all surrounded by a perfectly crafted theater theme. Ninja, swordsman, mermaid, detective, superhero, pastry chef, skater or downright kung fu expert, we move from one style to another with great pleasure, even if the absence of challenge risks making the players wince the most seasoned. In any case, the game is clearly intended for younger people, those who will be less demanding and will not complain about the sometimes incomprehensible framerate drops.- JeuxActu

Without changing deeply, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment has reached a new level thanks to the Unreal Engine 3. 19th century London's atmosphere is perfectly rendered. Frogwares tries to push its concept further by giving more freedom to the player. He can now call someone guilty, without even any proof, which makes him more responsible. The mini-games are still very fun, even though some of them are quite imprecise, but overall this new Sherlock should satisfy the fans and maybe newcomers.- JeuxActu

Borderlands 2 VR is a good game in VR, which increases a lot the immersive potential of the game. On the other hand, this version is sold without any of the previous DLCs and does not support multiplayer. A shame for a game that's a must on coop.- JeuxActu

Making Age of Empires IV a modern RTS without betraying the franchise's origins hasn't been an easy task for Relic Entertainment. While some players may blame the lack of risk taking, it must be recognized that disrupting the original gameplay could also have been taken badly. We are therefore dealing with an "Age of" classic in substance, but renewed in form.- JeuxActu

Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution is a bad name for a game which brings really nothing revolutionary. CyberConnect2 title sharpens its fighting recipe to make the battles even more dynamic and forces the player to not use his advantages too early. NSUNSR also brings with it the biggest roster in the series history. Alas, four-warriors confrontations are a little bit confusing because of a disastrous locking system and the Story mode is a deep disappointment.- JeuxActu

Resistance Burning Skies is the first FPS on PS Vita to use the game controls of an handheld device successfully, despite not being as good as Uncharted Golden Abyss or WipEout 2048 in terms of quality. The IP would have been better if the developers proposed more innovations as regards the level design, but the principal elements of the Resistance franchise have not been forgotten, espcially its multiplayer mode. For its first entry on PS Vita, Resistance Burning Skies copes pretty well.- JeuxActu

Planed to act as a demonstration of Wii U's capabilities, Nintendo Land is actually more than that. Despite a great number of basic mini-games, this product features three fantastic concepts based on Mario, Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing's worlds. As fun as Mario Kart, these mini-games can justify the purchase of Nintendo Land alongside the Wii U.- JeuxActu
