So despite starting this whole experience thinking I was finally getting my hands on Bloodlines 2, I am not disappointed with what I in fact do have. Swansong is an intriguing addition to the Vampire mythology and the new characters are interesting enough to make playing with them and learning their stories an engaging experience. There are a few little quirks (again, most notably the lip syncing, occasionally the movement looks a little stilted too)… but overall it’s an impressive package and should sate your hunger till you can dig your teeth into Bloodlines 2.- Impulsegamer

Far from a throwaway offering, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a genuine surprise. The representation of the famed Harry Potter sport here is impressively realized thanks to dynamic and thrilling gameplay, a pleasant artstyle, and a pick up and play allure that gives it a satisfyingly accessible edge. Career and customization options are slim, the commentary is tacky, and you might forget about it quickly, but the temptation to dive into a game of Quidditch in any position is irresistible, and what may look like an underweight and throwaway title, is actually ruddy good if you give it a chance and you keep on playing. The return of videogame Quidditch isn’t without a few hiccups, but it’s definitely a worthwhile option for anybody curious, or who can’t get enough of chasing down Snitches.- Impulsegamer

There is plenty of levels that will take hours to get through, it is ultimately a repetitive experience, it can also be very addictive. There is a lot to do here, it is a premium price point for what is a simple game with simple and addictive game play. If you are looking for an enjoyable pick up and play title for the Vita this may be the one for you, simple to play with a steady difficulty curve.- Impulsegamer

If you enjoy mildly creep games that allow you to do things at your own pace, give you plenty of collectibles to track down and story that’s a slow burn, then I would say this game is for you. If you are a die hard fan of these particular types of RPG, and you simply have no other option, then The Outer Worlds on Switch MAY be worth enduring. It’s that same snarky, quirky, exciting space adventure that won the hearts of players across the globe, and behind the issues that completely broke the game for me there is that fantastic story to be experienced. However, if you have any other possible way to play this game, I’d choose that route over the Switch.- Impulsegamer

This game reached its peak (for me) about half way through when it started to become a little too repetitive and tedious. The decisions you make do shape the story (initially) but only to an extent as you are basically forced into becoming a corrupted cop anyway. Instead of it being ‘choice driven’, I found this game to be more about skills management and balancing resources (no matter how corrupted you are) to make sure all parties you interact with are happy. The controversial content (racism, sexism etc.) may be a bit hard to swallow but it certainly adds to the story of police corruption and gives the game a different edge. I would say it is good value for money for the crime buffs among us, but not a must play title.- Impulsegamer

It’s a game I can sink a few hours into here and there. But after that, I feel like it’s just going to sit on my self, incomplete. It’s one of those games that takes you months to finish, because the moment to moment entertainment is good. But the depth, the heart, the soul. Just isn’t quite there. I definitely recommend the game for fans of the mecha or turn based RTS genres, but I’d personally wait for a sale.- Impulsegamer

The Lightbringer misses many opportunities. Despite having great core gameplay, it fails to immerse the player in its lore and aura due to its rough, and at times, incomplete edges. If players are willing to look past these shortcomings, the gameplay will keep fans of 2.5D platformers satisfied. That is, if they don’t skip a level every time they are met with the slightest of challenges.- Impulsegamer

LEGO Battles is reminiscent of those late 80's and early 90's real-time strategy games in terms of gameplay but the most annoying aspect of the title is that the developers could not master the path finding skills of the characters which forces the gamer to monitor all their units.- Impulsegamer

Despite the lack of polish the game is actually quite good, the story is still interesting and the game play is just ‘ready to go’. There is no need for learning a complicated control system, or hours of investment to identify how to identify the tactics to fight enemies, just load it up and start shooting. This game can offer a great escape for anyone who wants to spend the casual 30-60 min gaming session at the end of a long day of work without using any brain cells. The repetitive nature of the battle system and scenery will make most players feel like they have mastered the game play very quickly and the story element breaks up this monotony enough to sustain most players attention.- Impulsegamer

I certainly enjoyed my time with Torchlight 3 and will continue to jump back in if my friends are online, but the game has its faults. I disagree with the common sentiment in online communities that Torchlight 3 feels like it should have been an expansion to Torchlight 2; the new classes and Relic system are an excellent addition to the series and provide a level of replayability and customisation that the previous games didn’t have. Yet with that being said, I’m not convinced that the extended campaign, fort system and new class customisation options are enough to warrant the hefty price tag when compared to the offerings in the previous games. Not to mention the bizarre lack of online public matchmaking, which was a vital component of the previous game. If you’ve enjoyed the previous Torchlight games, you’ll undoubtedly enjoy Torchlight 3 as well, but you might want to wait until it’s on sale.- Impulsegamer

Windbound might come across as repetitive in some ways due to the genre of the game, but the journey is well worth every second. I would have liked to have seen a larger map or more challenges to overcome but I still firmly believe that the current balance of elements within the game is already at a good pace that it doesn’t become over or under whelming. Having completed the game, I can see where there would be room for further updates down the track but right now, Windbound is a brilliantly thought out game with amazing execution. Toy Soldiers HD is a tough one to recommend. The game hasn’t really changed for better or worse, making it both fun to revisit while being a bit ugly to look at. The problem with The Crew 2 is, aside from its admittedly pretty visuals, it seems content to coast by by just being good enough, never really feeling like it tops its pulse-pounding opening race or effectively shakes up the formula from the first game enough to really stand out as an essential purchase.- Impulsegamer

Robinson the Journey is an interesting game on the PlayStation VR that successfully creates a virtual world, however it does have some limitations that includes the graphics, part of the gameplay and at times fiddly controls. So if you have push aside these limitations, the game does give you a sense of freedom and is a step in the right direction for the future of VR titles. Let’s just hope that developers can streamline the controls and more importantly, ensure that the players don’t need to dish out additional money for a PlayStation 4 Pro to upscale the graphics.- Impulsegamer

I really enjoyed this game but its repetition and lack of communication with the player ultimately frustrated me personally. That said, it is so gorgeous to look at and control I would play it again. Crazy huh?- Impulsegamer

All in all, as you can probably guess, Dragon Star Varnir is quite a mixed bag in terms of enjoyment. While it provides an intricate and engaging combat system as well as some solid alternate modes, the rest of its elements are unfortunately rather lackluster or just plain inconveniencing.- Impulsegamer

Uninspiring environments and generic gameplay mean that only hardcore fans of the SAO series will get the most out of Bandai Namco's latest effort.- Impulsegamer

At the end of the day, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce is taking the franchise in the right direction and it's good to see Koei get out of their comfort zone.- Impulsegamer

The Run is a real middle runner of the series, the handling is definitely somewhere around the middle of the pack, the graphics are up near the front and the sound sits about the same as the rest of the releases. Unfortunately, The Run's biggest let down is definitely the story; it takes itself far too seriously and is a slightly ridiculous premise to begin with.- Impulsegamer

Even with a new coat of paint, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter wasn't a particularly amazing game to begin with, with odd controls and a woefully underutilised and fiddly bounty-hunting system that really should have been its USP.- Impulsegamer

I enjoyed my time with Atlas Fallen and developers Deck13 Interactive positively created their own interpretation of a unique RPG. Sure it has parallels to what makes an RPG an RPG but its overall gameplay and combat is like an alternate Marvel Universe timeline that feels familiar yet different as well.- Impulsegamer

God of War Sons of Sparta takes Kratos back to his early Spartan years in a side scrolling adventure that blends exploration with heavy combat. While it adds background to his relationship with Deimos and experiments with a retro style format, it rarely feels as powerful or focused as the mainline entries. It is a decent, occasionally engaging detour that struggles to live up to the legacy attached to its name.- Impulsegamer
