Midnight Murder Club is a fantastic party game that is best enjoyed with a group of friends. While its competitive gameplay may not be for everyone the laughs and screams it produces are well worth the price of admission. The clever use of light darkness and proximity chat makes for a truly unique experience. All in all Velan Studios has created a fun and engaging title that’s perfect for a game night. With that said, the game does become a little repetitive and is best played in short bursts.- Impulsegamer

Rock and roll with the indifferent, outcasted, and unwanted miscreants born from the dust! Words have power (literally) in this narrative based adventure across a broken country that houses unimaginable secrets. Even if the game suffers from poor design decisions and bad gameplay mechanics, there's no way to gaslight it's original take on the genre that expresses a sentiment no word can fully capture.- Impulsegamer

Koei have really nailed the Dynasty Warriors nail on the head with this game. Not only have they fine tuned the gaming mechanics but given the player a variety of interesting additions and gameplay modes to keep players busy for a considerable amount of time. It took us just over 3-hours to complete this, however the game contains a large amount of hidden goodies to be found from different paths to completing levels and lots of hidden objects and power-ups littered through the gaming world. We really enjoyed Bubble Bobble 4 Friends on the Nintendo Switch and like the 1986 original, it is definitely a far superior game if played with others. As a result, it ramps up the fun factor as gamers with their friends and family are once again returned to the loveable characters of Bub and Bob with its tweaked gameplay and equally cute graphics. It’s the perfect 2019 reimagining of an arcade classic and is also fun to play solo as well!- Impulsegamer

All things said and done Star Wars Battlefront II is still worth playing and yes buying. It is a rich universe and a ever expanding one. However I simply think they tried to achieve too much all at once. I would love to see more of Iden Versio and even more focus on a solid single player campaign. This has been achieved in the past and I’m sure can been done perfectly in the future. The strength of Star Wars has always been in its story, and I know that gamers would fork out their cash for one epic play of such a tale.- Impulsegamer

Shockman 3 ultimately feels like a classic run-and-gun game where the hero has forgotten to pack their pistol. Though hacking and slashing through hordes of foes is always fun, and it certainly has that high-octane arcade charm that most PC Engine games have even to this day. It’s hard to recommend to all but PC Engine enthusiasts and genre die-hards due to its punishing platforming and brutal boss fights.- Impulsegamer

Yooka-Laylee seems more targeted towards nostalgic adults than the next generation of young gamers. This makes sense, considering who was responsible for helping Yooka-Laylee become a reality, but it’s also a shame. The 3D platformer seems to have all-but-disappeared and I miss the playful, exploratory joy of these children’s games; I think the current generation is losing something due to their absence. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Yooka-Laylee, but I’m disappointed it chose to be a window into the past rather than a peek into the future.- Impulsegamer

Inayah: Life after Gods has all the makings of a great Metroidvania game, there are definitely areas where the game could be improved and frightened up. Ultimately, The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is a solid, compact experience that showcases strong fundamentals. Movement feels good, boss encounters are engaging, and the writing has a distinct voice. At the same time, its most promising mechanics are not explored deeply enough, and its metroidvania elements remain surface level. The procedural component adds replay value in theory, but does not meaningfully expand the scope. For anyone seeking a brief, well controlled action platformer with personality, it delivers. For those expecting a robust, sprawling metroidvania, it may feel underdeveloped. It is a good game that hints at something greater, even if it never fully reaches that potential.- Impulsegamer

Ultimately Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is a fun twist on a familiar theme. Sure we have some hyper realistic games that allow you to be part of a criminal gang performing heists… but why play those when you can be a cute little Turnip working for some pickles firing your cactus and shaking down customers at Mr Stinky’s bank. We may not have Commander Keen or Jazz Jackrabbit anymore… but when we can still have games like Turnip Boy Robs a Bank… I’d say variety in gaming is still alive and well. Each play through is going to be different and it’s simple enough that it makes for a good pick up and play title. It also has one of the nicest notes I’ve seen on a game recently, when you go to quite it tells you “your game will be saved”… to often these days (especially with console ports etc) you can’t be too sure if you’re at a point that will be saved or if when you return you will find yourself some way back in your journey… so it’s a small but nice element.- Impulsegamer

In terms of buying the collection… that may be a bit trickier as you can choose either Arcade or Console… not both… well you can choose both but you will be buying two separate collections rather than one. Within the Blade on the PS5 takes a classic arcade sidescroller and morphs in into something slightly modern from RPG to crafting (over 200 items) and old school combat mechanics, including a plethora of different weapons plus clever stealth mechanics. In this reviewer’s humble opinion, you should give Human: Fall Flat a go on PlayStation 4 if you enjoy clever puzzles and platforming, enjoy open-ended physics-based gameplay in a bite-sized package – and have the patience to engage with purposefully challenging movement controls. A big pro to the game is when you have a couch co-op partner to blast through the level-based experience – because while the creativity of the levels remain while playing alone, progression just isn’t as fun as it is when you’re watching your mate fall to their death for the hundredth time because of your cheeky sabotage.- Impulsegamer

The story is fun to explore, but I could happily swim with the fish for hours. Grab a copy for some lovely, safe time in the ocean.- Impulsegamer

An interesting real time take on the strategy JRPG genre. Unfortunately bogged down by a generic story and a lack of purpose between missions.- Impulsegamer

Gotham Knights is a beautiful game that tells an amazing story. Fans of Batman and Arkham Knights will definitely like what they see. Still, the game’s over-reliance on grapple and grind can wear thin, even with a terrific nightly progression system that advances main and side missions wonderfully. Final judgment should be reserved for robust multiplayer inclusion, however.- Impulsegamer

At the end of the day, Cursed Mountain is actually a step in the right direction on the Wii and attempts to create something unique and strangely original on a console that is unfortunately dominated by high-end console ports or casual games.- Impulsegamer

Solo: Islands of the Heart is one of the most unique games I’ve played to date. A hybrid between a box puzzle game and a love/relationship personality test, developer Merge Games has done an amazing job to make the collaboration feel very natural. Everything about this game seems to just fit, even though some elements are purely cosmetic or explained in great detail. Two small issues I do have with the game is the controls for the camera and the user interface. Neither is a deal-breaker, but a little bit of tweaking from the developer and a patch could quite easily improve these minor issues.- Impulsegamer

Sprinkle in the fact that it's a polished older game that is packed full of fun and there will be little reason why gamers won't be fighting their way through a hellishly altered version of Mars for quite some time to come.- Impulsegamer

The gameplay isn’t anywhere near as dated as you’d expect and, while not as blood chillingly terrifying as many fans profess, the game definitely gets the heart rate up into the high hundreds.- Impulsegamer

Taken together, Winter Burrow succeeds as a survival game that is polished, accessible, and quietly affecting. It may not satisfy players looking for fast paced action, but for those drawn to slower, reflective experiences it offers a distinctive blend of challenge and comfort. By merging its cozy aesthetic with meaningful gameplay, it delivers a survival tale that resonates beyond its mechanics. On Xbox Series X, it stands out as a thoughtful and memorable addition to the genre.- Impulsegamer

Marvel's Avengers features fun combat and an endearing campaign that showcases Kamala Khan. Unfortunately it also features a post-game experience that is repetitive, lifeless and a slog to play through.- Impulsegamer

Overall if you’ve enjoyed the Might and Magic Heroes games before then you won’t be disappointed, if you’ve only tried Kings Bounty before then I’d suggest jumping into Heroes VII it will seem familiar but also a little more “real” in style.- Impulsegamer

C:PCW has a bunch of nice ideas, not only those mentioned but a few others as well such as experienced units purchasable from mission to mission, and the whole pre-mission set up phase, but most of them fall flat due to lack of thorough integration into the game mechanics.- Impulsegamer
