With a couple small personal preference issues, I still believe that NASCAR Heat 3 is a fairly solid game. Is it perfect? No game is. With the sheer amount of content, modes, and overall experience while in gameplay, I would have no issue recommending this game to someone if you're a fan of the sport. If you want a fun racing game that you can just sit back, relax, drink a beer or two and race, this is the game for you. 3... 2... 1... Race!

A nice improvement on the previous game, with added variety thanks to the new management mode and races. It still needs to improve in presentation, though.

This feels more of an incremental installment which builds on the previous outing, retaining all of the key features whilst adding more content and that's not a particularly bad thing. Outside of the US, NASCAR is still seen as a niche sport, but Monster Games has managed to make a game that will appeal not only to those dedicated fans but one that should satisfy those players looking for a good sim-cade racing title. Even with some new toys that feel incremental at best, it makes for a strong foundation for the years ahead for the series.

There seems to be actual strategy involved in this game and let me tell you that came out of left field for me. As you move forward and get better, even your team can be leveled up and get better at what they do. So if you are looking for a full racing experience you will find that Nascar Heat 3 fits what you are looking for. Have fun, play games… start your engines!

Monster Games worked hard to make their game fun and accessible, but while enjoyable it will hardly impress anybody.

Ultimately, if you’re after the most authentic NASCAR racing game available right now, NASCAR Heat 3 will serve you well. But if all you want to do is take some NASCAR vehicles around some tracks now and again, on Xbox One you might as well pick up Forza Motorsport 6 or 7.

If you’re a fan of NASCAR then there is no reason not to check out the latest entry in the series, but if you’re after a fully licensed experienced you may be a little disappointed.

By far, the best NASCAR console game ever. It has more depth than Dirt to Daytona. It has a better career mode than any other NASCAR game.By far, the best NASCAR console game ever. My only complaint is that I wish it could have the UI polish of games like F1. But I get it... they are putting all of the efforts into the gameplay. And it shows! The progress from Heat 1 to Heat 2 to Heat 3 is fantastic!!!

There isn’t a massive improvement when it comes to the presentation side of the game it still does a little bit more than the previous game in both the visuals and sound design. The driving physics feel much better than they did in NASCAR Heat 2 and this without a doubt made racing and turning more satisfying. There’s more depth this time around and the newly added content not only gives the game more replaybilty but it will also bring new fans to the table. The load times are much shorter this time around and technically the game holds up well for the most part with fewer problems included. There’s still not much in terms of the customisation you can do in the base game. I was a little disappointed with the Career Mode because it didn’t have the amount of depth I expected it would have. The collision damage is very unrealistic and does ruin the immersion levels a little bit. Does NASCAR Heat 3 do enough to get a recommendation from me? NASCAR Heat 2 was a big improvement over the original game and I was looking forward to where the game would go next, so I did have quite a bit of interest in NASCAR Heat 3. After playing it for a while I did realise that there are some improvements over last year’s game. These improvements are mostly found in the more realistic AI and the better feeling physics, but despite these improvements I still couldn’t shake of the feeling that it still felt a lot like last year’s game. Don’t get me wrong that isn’t a bad thing because I did enjoy NASCAR Heat 2 it’s just I wanted a little bit more from this game and instead what I got is a Career Mode that still needs work and the collision damage still feels very unrealistic. That being said NASCAR Heat 3 is still a decent game and if you’re a fan of the NASCAR series then there’s more than enough here to keep you satisfied for quite a while and it also does more than enough to get a thumbs up from me.
