While its platforming mechanics are overall competent, there's virtually no improvement whatsoever over the original and the visible result is that of something which stopped in time one decade ago, even in the visual component. Having some new elements would be welcome too, but that has also been left out of this anniversary edition.- FNintendo

Bit Dungeon+ brings dungeon crawling and roguelike elements to the Nintendo Switch along with a nostalgic art style and some fun combat moments. Unfortunately the game quickly feels like it's too simplistic. Adding to that, its skills system is quite difficult to understand and frequent glitches and a soundtrack that is unremarkable, at best, make Bit Dungeon an effort that is overall difficult to appreciate.- FNintendo

Shiny the Firefly may have an excellent artwork but it immediately becomes a dull and repetitive experience that fails to captivate or pose a significant challenge. Based on the game's art, this could be taken further and into more promising fields but faced with a gameplay that is all but compelling and interesting, there is little choice left other than leave Shine the Firefly in the (digital) shelf.- FNintendo

Wheels of Aurelia brings forward a hybrid between a visual novel and a driving simulator, where the dialogues are topical and captivating and give the game a unique flair. Disappointingly, Wheels of Aurelia does not mange to fulfill all its promises and the game's interaction ends up feeling short and the way the dialogues are carried out does not live up to the game's premise.- FNintendo

Wooden Sen'SeY shows some ambition but unfortunately, its badly implemented control schemes and physics make it extremely difficult and frustrating to play. Moonfall Ultimate has some ambition when it draws inspiration from several renowned hack and slash and beat'em up games. The problem is, while its plot is minimally interesting and engaging, the game doesn't really present anything else that will strike a chord with the players and the combat system, its life and soul, is simply too dull, uninteresting and overly simplistic to give any trace of fun while paying Moonfall Ultimate.- FNintendo

Funk of Titans brings forth a very simple control system and some elements which if explored better, could make a more interesting experience. Flight of Light proposes to merge racing cars with rhythm action in what could potentially be a surprising and fun game. Sonic Forces may have created some hype but unfortunately, it mostly falls flat on its face as it quickly becomes obvious that this game is an exercise in disappointment. While the action runs smoothly whether on a television screen or on handheld mode, the game's short and unimaginative levels, the absence of gameplay mechanics that had become a staple of 3D Sonic games, the unreliable controls and the mediocre soundtrack all add up to a very flawed game from which a lot more was expected.- FNintendo

Bringing Langrisser out of Japan after 25 years is worthy of praise but unfortunately it's the only thing worth praising about Langrisser Re: Incarnation Tensei. With its simplistic plot and terrible epilogue, short length, technical performance issues and very high selling price, there's very little to this adventure game that can amuse, entertain or even remotely interest any kind of player. Perhaps some technical revisions could improve on its performance issues and make the experience gain some degree of interest but as it is, Beast Quest is better left alone.- FNintendo

Steel Rivals comes off as a game which was not finished and simply not ready for a home release. This is a technically blotched effort that is unable to keep a minimum standard of visual stability, let alone offer a fun and compelling challenge. Add to this the dearth of visual stimulation, the disproportionate gap between the characters' capabilities and the complete lack of help or explanation given to the players and the result is a game that is simply not fun to play at all.- FNintendo

Hot Rod Racer has no personality and its gameplay mechanics are simply frustrating and not fun. There are few objectives, its tracks don't motivate the player to go forward and the vehicle's hitbox makes everything more difficult. A clear case of a game designed for the mobile segment which has no place elsewhere, no matter how low its selling price is.- FNintendo

Yet Another Zombie Defense HD is a game that has more name than content. While its features are easy to grasp and fully functional, the game has very little to offer when it comes to content, fun and gameplay mechanics - it's repetitive, dull and shallow and brings nothing that other games of the same genre don't offer already at a bigger and better scale.- FNintendo

Maria the Witch has one superficial element in its defence, which is a rather pleasant visual outlook...and that's it. Beyond this, the game's appalling controls and mechanics make it impossible to recommend to anyone at all and it features no redeeming factors whatsoever.- FNintendo

The gameplay is too empty, the lifespan way too short and the controllers below par for this to be considered a decent effort and the lack of a soundtrack only reinforces the idea that this is not a complete game but rather a tech demo.- FNintendo

Even after trying very hard, it’s impossible to find something worthy about Angry Bunnies. This Angry Birds clone is a very unpolished and flawed piece of work, which although displaying a certain degree of effort on level design, does not compel the players in any way.- FNintendo

An FPS in a handheld console may not be the best idea but RTO goes beyond and performs terribly. Not just its audiovisual component is very much subpar, the gameplay mechanics offer no interest whatsoever to the player and adding to that, the price asked for RTO, it's difficult to understand how any player can enjoy this experience.- FNintendo

It's baffling how Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric draws inspiration from such good sources but fails at delivering almost everything it promises. Burdened by technical problems, a lackluster plot, confusing exploration mechanics and empty settings, Rise of Lyric needed a complete overhaul before being released.- FNintendo

Darts Up could have been an enjoyable, simple game for a good time with friends...but it falls far from that goal. Its bland visual environment, lack of options and overall poor gameplay make Darts Up something to avoid.- FNintendo

Dragon Skills has a simple and accessible concept which seems appealing to the retro-minded players but it's also plagued by problems which turn it into a difficult experience. If the decision to use the GamePad vertically is hard to understand, merciless difficulty progression and lack of fluidity don't make anything better.- FNintendo

Ultra Off-Road 2019: Alaska for the Nintendo Switch is a driving game based on courses with difficult obstacles and conditioning factors but unfortunately there's very little here which provides a worthwhile experience for the player. Repetitive, unchallenging, with a poor and flawed audiovisual performance and without any appeal whatsoever, this is a game that should not have made its path to the Switch eShop.- FNintendo

While Twisted Fusion does feature some interesting ideas at the level of its gameplay concepts, the game ends up falling flat on its face due to an overall poor execution. In some moments, Twisted Fusion is even borderline unplayable, which coupled with its subpar visual environment, an enormous amount of bugs that should not have passed quality control and low precision platforming, lead to a game that needed a serious reworking before being made available.- FNintendo

Riding Star 3D is a collection of failed experiences, repetitive challenges, flawed controllers and outdated graphics. It's hard to see how this game brings any added value to the 3DS catalogue, as all its elements are simply unworthy of exploring.- FNintendo

Garage Mechanic Simulator wants to deliver the experience of car reparations on the Nintendo Switch but unfortunately, it fails on its every goal. Due to its very clunky and counter-intuitive controls, a user interface with very little information and virtually no stimulation or encouragement to exploration, Garage Mechanic Simulator is an option that's better left in the garage.- FNintendo

Harvest Moon: Mad Dash is not a regular game in the farming RPG series but rather a puzzle-based game...and it does nearly nothing right. Dull, boring, plain, drab... Mad Dash doesn't do the least for the Harvest Moon series and it does nothing for puzzle games either. If it had a decent level of challenge, Mad Dash would have some worth to it but as it is, it should be left alone.- FNintendo

Jett Tailfin may seem like a decent proposal, given its Mario Kart inspiration and the amount of tracks, characters and background...but this quickly gets lost in a sea of faulty controls, a camera which does more harm than good, frequent slowdowns, poor artificial intelligence and a shoddy visual environment.- FNintendo

Everything has gone wrong on Suspension Railroad Simulator. While the concept itself already puts it in a niche, the way the game is developed and presented displays an urgent need to throw it back into the drawing board and completely rework it on every aspect.- FNintendo

Back in 1995 joins the crowd of retro-inspired indie games on the Nintendo Switch catalogue. Unfortunately it gets nothing right. It tries to follow a different path than most retro-based games by taking an audiovisual line based on the 32-bit generation but fails at everything it attempts: a poor audiovisual environment, a clunky and unnerving gameplay and controls, and a plot that barely adds up, not to mention completely dysfunctional enemies. Any players longing for gaming experiences of the early days of the 32-bit generation should look elsewhere.- FNintendo

Cartoon Network: Battle Crashers could have been a more appealing game thanks to the use of popular characters from Cartoon Network shows but unfortunately, none of this is fully explored as the game features a gameplay that pales next to any other game of the kind and the high price demanded for it only harms the game's standing even more, making it impossible to recommend to anyone.- FNintendo

There is nothing positive to highlight in Vroom in the night sky. Its gameplay mechanics are completely superficial and the game offers no depth of play, its audiovisual environments are outdated by three generations and the HD rumble function does more harm than good. Next to all those negative aspects, the very poor translations are nothing but a funny detail.- FNintendo
