Surrounded by strange creatures and even stranger locals, Cora and her friends have only their wits and a brace of water guns to rely upon! Luckily for our plucky trio of outlanders, the water found in this curious new land possesses mysterious qualities; transforming their ordinary water guns into powerful weapons.

    Set off on an epic adventure with up to 4 friends. Explore the breath-taking sky islands of Evan and aid their inhabitants by completing challenging quests and defeating the hordes of monsters that plague the land. Discover the secrets of Evan's towers and defeat the dangerous creatures that guard them. Twisted Fusion offers an open world experience, allowing players to choose their own path as they seek to find a way back to our world.

    Use the Wii U GamePad to access a host of apps on Cora's smartphone. Track the time and weather, check your quest progress, fast travel and unlock new characters, costumes, abilities and gadgets. Players can even collect and train their own team of monsters.

    Twisted Fusion is a good game with a solid structure that woefully lacks a lot of polish. A lot of fun can be had and a nice sense of adventure pervades the game, but sadly the whole thing is held back by the choppy camera, frame rate, and overall production quality.

    Twisted Fusion misses its potential. The skeleton of a solid game is here, but it falls short in various regards and is plagued with issues. What fun you might have from searching for secrets and gaining new abilities is completely marred by tedious combat, a shaky camera and movement, a lack of navigational help, and overall boring gameplay. The variety of technical issues suggest that perhaps this game could have used some more time in development.

    While Twisted Fusion does feature some interesting ideas at the level of its gameplay concepts, the game ends up falling flat on its face due to an overall poor execution. In some moments, Twisted Fusion is even borderline unplayable, which coupled with its subpar visual environment, an enormous amount of bugs that should not have passed quality control and low precision platforming, lead to a game that needed a serious reworking before being made available.
