Despite a single player campaign that is decidedly forgettable, Khaos Reigns is a step in the right direction from Netherrealm in terms of balance and roster choices. Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot are spectacular, dynamic, and deep, and the balance changes are timely and not excessive. We are not faced with an absolute excellence in the fighting genre, but it would be unfair to rate this expansion lower than the base title, of which it is still a notable evolution.

It really should be said: Sheltered 2 is not a game for everyone. The complexity of the Unicode title is really high and only a niche of players will be able to appreciate the whole package without giving up at the first difficulties. Taken individually, the gameplay components are discreetly made, but the problem lies in their overlap. The developers have staked everything on the amount of different mechanics without paying too much attention to mixing them in the right way and the result is a chaotic experience, not very user friendly and too punitive.

Fort Solis offers a cinematic experience that unfortunately creaks due to a writing without particular flashes. Exploring the space station in search of recordings and documents that shed light on the events of the story proves to be not very exciting. However, the developers of Fallen Leaf have built an admirable graphic framework in Unreal Engine 5, with richly detailed scenarios and realistic lighting (there is no shortage of frame rate fluctuations). To counterbalance, at least in part, the uncertainties of the narrative we find the excellent interpretations of Troy Baker, Roger Clark and Julia Brown, who make every exchange plausible with a variety of expressions worthy of much larger productions than this first work, which in any case should have dared a little more.

By expanding the roster of playable characters and the number of fighters that can be dragged on the front line, the guys at WANIN International have endowed Dusk Diver 2 with a pleasant strategic component completely absent in the first episode. However, instead of conceiving a new growth system reasoned and designed specifically for the team, the studio has kept the leveling system of the original, which allowed you to manually intervene on the parameters of the Yang Yumo alone. Being shared among the various members of the gang, the experience points accumulated through the clashes are not sufficient to simultaneously improve the fighters available to the player, who is often forced to focus on one or two heroes to cope with a balance of difficulty to be reviewed. at most, neglecting the remaining three. Compared to the progenitor, Dusk Diver 2 has in short made some appreciable steps forward, but the road to perfect the formula of the saga and express its full potential would still seem long.

Four years after the original release, Resident Evil 6 is pretty much the same game. The HD version shows the usual technical improvements of many other remasters (1080p and 60 frame per second), but nothing more. Disappointing for the fanbase, Resident Evil 6 is a huge title but is somehow inconsistent, able to pursue neither the fast paced action of the fourth chapter, nor the survival horror spirit of the origins.

Despite some occasional creative flashes, in fact, the expansion flows without leaving persistent traces, both on the playful side and on the purely narrative one. The potential was there, and we are sure that some will appreciate the "camp" drift chosen by the English team more than others, but ultimately Haus is a content that can easily be left out, waiting to see how the developer will complete the journey post-launch of Dead Island 2.

Flint Treasure of Oblivion is a pirate adventure with a successful atmosphere and tone, full of visual details that make it more authentic than many other pirate transpositions. Interfaces, settings and costumes, equipment and objects, writing and texts contribute to this goal. The plot, on the other hand, is not among the most interesting and does not fully do justice to the importance of the protagonist: the legendary pirate James Flint from the novel Treasure Island. As for the actual gameplay, although the dice rolls liven up the turn-based battles a bit, in the long run they become repetitive at times and sometimes last too long. Ultimately, if you are a fan of the setting halfway between the epic and the crude, all shrouds, rusty swords and explosive barrels, Flint will fully satisfy you. Otherwise, both as a strategic RPG it is an enjoyable experience, but not very original or varied.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League could have been saved, in his evaluation, by the narrative plot: beyond the goodness of the writing of the protagonists, however, there is nothing else, because even the idiosyncrasies with the comic book counterparts they scream before the eyes of passionate readers. That should have and could have been the main target to address, but even the most ferocious enthusiasts would have found fault with this arid content proposal. Metropolis is bare, it is a desert which, although justified by the plot devices, is not sufficient for our gaming era. The missions are all repetitive, some suffocating the yield, even worse than what Insomniac tried to do with Mary Jane's stealth in Spider-Man 2. What remains to be saved are the technical profile, of an excellent level, and the gunplay, which is pleasant for who wants to shoot with little worry and blow up everything possible. But at this price, it is only worth it if the post-launch support proves to be of incredible workmanship, enough to overturn the table.
