    Good story, nice gameplay but insufficient content. I reviewed the notes for Season 1. Season 1 is lacking in content. It does not have content that can change the builds we play. Sticking to basic abilities makes us lose our sense of empowerment. Even if you are level 100, even if you build the best, you don't feel like you are getting stronger. Because you always have to use that stupidGood story, nice gameplay but insufficient content. I reviewed the notes for Season 1. Season 1 is lacking in content. This basic mechanic seriously disrupts the fluidity of the game. The nerfs coming for Season 1 will further disrupt the fluency of the game in terms of gameplay. I don't know what kind of mind the developers are going through, but unfortunately it is not an Arpg with a bright future. Waste of time.     Developers have disappointed me. Sorcerer is always my main class and I enjoy trying different builds, but there are very few possible builds that are truly viable. The last update made this class even more difficult to play. I stopped playing until they correct the sorcerer and make the game fun again. And the sorcerer problems are just the tip of the iceberg, I am so saddened at theDevelopers have disappointed me.     The game has fundamental problems with its Dungeon System, its Inventar system end the Overall Playstyle.
    You have stats that are not useable and have no really interesting Monster/Boss mechanics except you get Oneshot.
    Years of experience from D3 and they **** it up this bad.
    To bad i cant get my money back.

    I'm thinking myself how unhappy and sad life the gamers are to post here so much angry and hate because a simple update on the game. For me the game is still fun and it's always a pleasure to play. I have finished the game and I'm playning the season 1 now and having a lot of fun. I hope the developers have stomach to do the necessary updates to keep this game live as much as possible.

    I went thru with 2 weeks on season 1 and 200+ h on eternal.
    This game is in complete shambles full of broken promises and disappointment.
    To me today it was a last drop when i realized why is economy so unbalanced and ppl has so much gold since blizzard is failing to Q&A any of there updates which is just basically the absolute worst which has ruined the experience for me beyond    I went thru with 2 weeks on season 1 and 200+ h on eternal.
    This game is in complete shambles full of broken promises and disappointment.

    Game full of game breaking bugs. They break economy, class balances and every aspect of game. This incompetence of developers is absurd. They probably don't have any Q&A team. There are 3 out of 5 playable characters, gem which bugs all damage from everyone in radius which also throws any damage balance out of window.     Il gioco non è bruttissimo, come ambientazione è un bel gioco ma è stato rovinato dalle politiche predatorie di Activision, questo non è un gioco cellulare dove inserire contenuti a pagamento Diablo non lo è mai stato e anche andando avanti con la stagione non si può ottenere NULLA di decente senza un aggiunta economica.     Biggest disappointment in my life with any game in 20 years.

    U have bar for only 4 spells, world is scaling so u just getting weaker, end game sucks, campaign sucks, combat is so boring, items have BS stats that make no sense and i can continue. Graphics are only decent thing i guess. Just dont buy it, dont waste your money and time, game objectivly sucks in almost every aspect, only    Biggest disappointment in my life with any game in 20 years.

    Unbelievable failure by blizzard, outputting a half-baked game in development for many years, horrifying grinds (rep repeats) especially after nerfs (helltides, etc.) all while sporting an incredibly predatory and disgustingly bad battle pass (the worst i've seen in any game). 2x lvl 100 on eternal realm pre season 1, quit after. Might be good in a few years when they copy what they must from PoE.

Well i dont know how im going to start this review, so many things to say… played the game for like 2 months, got fun moments with friends, but all it end when they launch first the nerf patch and later de Season 1, the nerf patch was like OMG what are they doing they are destroying my 2 months, distroying all for what i work in the game… so wait well lets figure it out no drama but lets keep playing… BUT IT COMES FOR ME THE REAL “IM OUT” …. Practically i will need to start a new character again with less xp and harder loot only to get skins for my eternal character… but guees what with people playing the new season NO ONE IS PLAYING ETERNAL, soo for playing this game it forced me to start a new char that i will probably loose in 2 months when the season ends FOR WHAT? For season 2 when i will need to start a new character AGAIN and do everything AGAIN… no idea how this kind of game Works bit i will not playing this game for start character every 3 months…… Expand

    Really fun game. I've lost hours and hours happily playing with new builds. Combat feel brutal and levelling is fun. There are a few bugs that need ironing which I'm sure will happen in time but after 100s of hours of play time I'm still very much enjoying. The community are a bit annoying and seem to have temper tantrums about ay old thing but you can mostly ignore them.

Skills and attributes also bugged causing heroes to be worthless and setting some classes above others. Blizzard Support also unable to help any console players with help as they run for PC, after a 3 weekTotal mixed bag of a game and not what I expected. However, after playing D4 extensively (Open beta, release 300+ hours), I must say that I am quite disappointed with the design choices, the numerous bugs that plague the game and lack of communication with the    NOT RECOMMENDED. This is paid BETA and just sucks.
    As a long-time fan of the series (I played 1000+ hours in D1, D2, D3), I was eagerly anticipating the release of this game. However, after playing D4 extensively (Open beta, release 300+ hours), I must say that I am quite disappointed with the design choices, the numerous bugs that plague the game and lack of communication with the community.     I played a few hundreds of hours, gotten sorc, rogue and barb to 100. The devs absolutely dont know what they're doing. Its like D4 is a No Fun Allowed zone. Constant Nerfs to everything thats fun and nothing get buffed to compensate making builds weaker. Definitely dont reccomend

The storyline was solid for Diablo with lots of cinematics. Seasons look good and with a revenue model, hopefully they will contain interesting content. There is a modest endgame that consists of scaling dungeons, helltides, tree of whispers quests forDiablo IV is a decent release from Blizzard.     There are some major missteps that need to be rectified though. QoL is poor, with too little stash and tiny character inventory. Yet again loot is disappointing as if they learned nothing from Diablo III. Legendaries amount to crafting materials, unique affixes are iffy, and incomprehensibly they put in ultra-rare drops that most players will never see. Why do that in an essentially solo game that revolves around loot? There is no random grouping for nightmare dungeons, and respeccing a character costs a small fortune in gold. This design decision makes no sense in a live service game where a patch can break a build overnight. It should have been free - optimizing gear is already a substantive gold sink.

    Also conspicuously missing are the cow level, gold and item find gear that was a staple of previous Diablo games, and the Horadric cube. Treasure goblins are stingy and even after the buff gold shrines are barely worth clicking. One has to wonder if the development team has even played the previous Diablo games.

    Hopefully Blizzard will get the issues rectified more quickly than they did for Diablo III. It certainly has potential but it's not a great game at this point.    … Expand

    I think it's outrageous that if I want to play single player I have to wait for some updates I don't need to connect to the server. not everyone has a few hours a day to record. I have half an hour after putting the baby to sleep to play and at this point I'm waiting 20 minutes to turn on the game.

    Very bad patch which makes everything worse (too many nerfs). Unbalanced characters (eg bad barb leveling and endgame). You get instantly killed sometimes (one shot) while killing normally all mobs without any problems. Playing this game does not make fun. It is frustrating and boring in the endgame.

    Update: decided to go "deeper" into endgame. Quickly or rather slowly found out that there is no depth. Legendaries that started dropping and would offer "new" powers proved to be a rather lateral progression, not really changing my build because they can't. After level 50 any "new" thing or any item proved to be a gimmick that could give the expression to some people that the game and how you build your character could be complex and has depth. But it doesn't, it's a shallow autoclick free to play style mobile game. Then the newest patch came out and the next day I found out I'm leveling 30% slower doing the same dungeons, while being the same level. Calculated that in order to get to max level I would need at least 200 more hours just for that. Also found out that some of the really good items wore and had in my stash were destroyed by the patch. Practically salvage now, basically deleted. So they promised they won't wipe the boring altars and renown progress every season. In the same time they decided the players are worth nothing and they can simply delete their items, humiliate them and make them find other items. Such a level of disrespect can be treated only 1 way if a person respects him/her/we self. If they think they are Gods more power to them. I will not spend another second of my time on them. Never again Blizzard or Activision, for any reason, even as a gift. I uninstalled it and their buggy launcher too. Now if someone gifts me the game I will politely refuse it.    … Expand

    Very boring, very very boring. But graphics are good i can say. Skills looks weak, skill tree looks weak. No dept of the game and character creation. I will try again after few years, maybe there will be any endgame content. For now, its just main story. Game for one time.

    Total absence of end game content. Lags and the fact that people were thrown there as testers.

    I would forgive everything though and even go play there Season 1, but Blizzard decided to release a patch. So I spend 200 hours to make proper build, I polished it and day after they just said it is too strong so I can go f... myself and try something else. No buffs of other classes so they would be viable, no increase of difficulty level... no. We just release global nerf and make game harder, so you wont reach level 100 too early as it will kill all the interest.

I actually enjoy the leveling process and getting a big power spike with a new skill or item is one of the best gaming feelings. However, I couldn't level a second character (despite it being a Rogue) without it feeling like a complete chore. My first character hit level 96 (whirlwind barb) in the eternal realm and the whole thing felt like a brain dead grind after level 60ish.

    I have always set my bar low for this game despite the fact that a lot of friends had hyped it for years and the game is still worse than I expected. Not to mention it feels like any nerf/buffs made in the game are tested or creative in the way they do it. It feels like the simply look social media content and give it a (decreased damage by x%) change which nerfs the ability across all levels and not just where it was needed.

    For the game to be great imo (I am a gamer and play a lot of ARPGs) they need to stop catering to shareholders and "casual players" and start mimicking my favorite ARPG, POE. Blizz needs to replace their leadership and dev team for this IP but I have a feeling this will never happen. They've made their money through their marketing and branding and will continue to do so through over priced in-game skins and QOL features (Trust me, its coming).    … Expand

I have no problem grinding through ranks, also no problem with elusive gear and the effort it takes to obtain it. I do have a problem with the developers constantly nerfing the ability to rank at a reasonable pace, that has become borderline unplayable at this point. They are constantly making it take longer and longer to rank and creating a very linear path for a dungeon game, I feel for all of you who has had their builds completely stomped on by the jerks at blizzard, I have deleted the game. Pretty convenient how they would nerf the eternal realm, and order for their paid BS season 1 to look better. This is garbage and gamers should not support such companies, cash grab trash.     Diablo I and II were insanely fun games. There was a formula that worked so well that people literally played them for years and even decades (D2). DIII was ok-ish but everyone knew D2 was better. How can the developers at Blizzard be so obtuse? Why make moving through the game so mind numbing? Why get rid of the value of gold? Why not make yellow (and orange) items hard to find and worth it when they are? Why make enemy combat an endless, confusing button smash slog? I literally can't tell what most enemies look like or what they're even doing to me. It's just visual noise.
    Why was D2 so much better than D1? Because it was bigger and gave us more characters. Sure there was some pretty cool innovation with the gems and rune system but the basic game play didn't change.

    I started with sorceress at first and decided that it was a complete disappointment at level 72 and switched to Rogue. although sorceress was fun to play, the damage was seriously lacking compared to other classes. I also made rogue level 100, it was fun and i had a strong build (6,000,000 damage).. but as I progressed, I got pretty bored because I couldn't even change the build becauseI started with sorceress at first and decided that it was a complete disappointment at level 72 and switched to Rogue. although sorceress was fun to play, the damage was seriously lacking compared to other classes. That build is nerfed too.
    I was excited that season 1 would come out and I started the druid character and I really didn't like playing with such a slow character. Although I hoped that the new season will strengthen the characters, I was disappointed to see that caged hearts did not work at all. The game I gave for 90 euros and over 200 hours would have been wasted if it weren't for my friends playing with me. And my biggest problem with the game is that no matter what character I play, the character always feels the same.. Hit the basic skill, do damage with the right button, and hit 4 defensive skills. .. I don't understand the lack of skills that can be thrown into an area like acid cloud or blizzard in d3. I think, the skill cast has been removed so that the game can be played in the same way on PlayStation. I do not recommend buying the game before it drops to 20 euros.    … Expand

    * Compelling story moments are not often to be found throughout Diablo IV (including side quests).
    * Very pedestrian music, where environment is very hard to notice and boss music is overwhelming.
    * Little variance between mobs.
    * The default zoom-out is way too zoomed in compared to even Diablo III.
    * Seasonal balancing changes that negatively affect those on the Eternal realms (who can't even participate).
    * There is no single-player option, so you can never choose to play offline which leads to...
    * Frequent disconnects and lag, which is devastating for "hardcore" characters and --
    * Even setting aside the DDoS attacks, their servers in general are lacking.
    * Game-play wise, there are so many issues that you should just watch The Act Man's video on YouTube on why D4 is a bad game.

Blizzard has lost it’s touch and their only focus is to maximise the time player need to spend playing (instead of making a great game that you’d want to play). Game is not fun, all the areas are the same, level scaling kills the feeling of progression and the loot and itemization is so bland and uninteresting that I can’t even remember any item name.This game is waste of time, literally.     run 5 mins, come across 2 bugs a month and half after its released, then waste 15 mins in town.

    There is literally NOTHING to do except : the story (which is okish), then run 5 mins, and waste 15 in town. NOTHING ELSE.

    I loved the game, a master piece on day one... Nerfed soc class as much as anyone could, making new players create a new character for seasonal content, not even listening to their community... Blizzard couldn't have done a worse job honestly. So disappointed.

    I dont like PVP and in season i have to . try many times to do the season quest in pvp area, but always i get killed by groups of Playes . so i cant go on with the season . Thanks for haveing no fun Blizzard Entertainment :(

    As the game progresses, the combat becomes monotonous and lacks excitement. The gameplay itself feels repetitive and fails to deliver an enjoyable experience overall. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend spending your money on this game.

    I'm 40 years old, I've been playing video games since I was a kid. I love Diablo 1 I love Diablo 2. Diablo 4 looks and works great but is weak in the most important aspects. Weak items, no motivation to play. I'm going back to Diablo 2 Resurrected. 3/10

There's virtually no variety in the builds, looting isn't fun (it's more of a hunt for special abilities and getting them out of them), constant slowdowns due to silly in-engine solutions, and always online.     Not playable after 70 lvl. Terrible end game loop. No chase items. No crafting. No agency on the contents and rewards. Bad itemization. Forced builds by devs. Buggy and imbalanced tuning.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
