    Great campaign but severely lacking any endgame and itemisation (no Uber bosses with loot drop tables besides one with no good loot all the way at lvl100 which 99.9% of people aren’t getting to anyway ..

    Believe me, don't waste your time and money on this horrible game. The game designers are trying their best to make you feel awful. They promised they would not nerf any bd in the middle of the season, but oops, sorry , I did it again "coincidentally"! Shame on you Blizzard.

    The game's story was ok but there is no end game content and their new patch has made an already unbalanced game into an even more unbalanced mess where all classes suck it takes longer to leave areas (increased time to teleport to town for no reason) and seems like this is all to try and sell you more **** with there battel pass as this just happened    DO NOT BUY STOP PLAYING RIGHT NOW

    Whilst it has its strong points the ridiculous leveling is so long and boring it made me quit at level 75 i just could not handle it anymore

    There is no really point to play that game. You must finish campaign which is repetitive and bad to reach rest of content which really does not exist.

    Diablo 4 left me unimpressed, lacking the spark that makes a game truly engaging. Its gameplay felt like a repetitive chore, failing to captivate my interest. The excitement and depth I anticipated were absent, leaving me with a sense of blandness.     I really doubt that the game designers ever played the game before releasing the game. For example, it will take 5-30s after finishing the dungeon, what is the point? Another example is that if your teammate dies, you can never find them with the mark on the map just because the game designer cannot get the fking simple coordinate right. and so so many those kind of details are indicatingI really doubt that the game designers ever played the game before releasing the game.     After spending countless hours in the game already... I'm extremely disappointed. I gave it an honest shot. I actually bought 3 copies of the game. One for myself, my partner, and one for PS5 for cross progression and crossplay. I played the betas, I played before season 1. I thought the foundation for something great was there and I was incredibly excited. As I reached level 80 withAfter spending countless hours in the game already... I'm extremely disappointed. I gave it an honest shot. I actually bought 3 copies of the game. One for myself, my partner, and one for PS5 for cross progression and crossplay. I played the betas, I played before season 1. I thought the foundation for something great was there and I was incredibly excited. As I reached level 80 with multiple characters I thought end game was bland and boring. That's ok though, foundation was there.. Only for the patches to be released making the game worse and even more tedious.. Then Season 1 came, lackluster. I was bored after 1 gameplay session and have not gone back.

    Why haven't I learned? Why did I still trust blizzard? I don't know. Nostalgia? I don't know.. But I'll revisit the game in a few years and maybe it'll be alright.. But by then I'll also have PoE 2..

    What's crazy is I dropped PoE 1 for Diablo 4 thinking it was better. Gave it an honest shot and in the beginning I really did think it was better.

    Boy was I wrong.

    No end game, few and boring bosses, camera zoom, build variety, balancing, power creep, etc. Everything in previous negative reviews I agree with.    … Expand

    combat is fun at first but that's it. If i was to rate my experience .... well i fell asleep gaming if you fall asleep it drops my score well below 30 percent played 5 hrs. maybe never started it up again game never should have costed 90 dollars Canadian the score would be different if it was a sub 40$ game or free to play with loot box mechanics tbh

    Game starts off good but quickly falls off. Not a whole lot to do... Which is amazing since coming from Diablo 2 where I thought that farming the same 3 bosses would be very boring.

    Way too overpriced - max 20 hour fun game. After you've reached lvl 50 or played through the campaign, it gets soo utterly boring. Inventory management got even worse now you have to check every item seperate for stats.

    Totally not worth the price. This game should be free because it's not even finished, players are just pay to be the volunteer testing the game by now. The deployers apparently don't know what players want and just want to make you suffer.

    They literally killed a build in the middle of a season. Blizzard seems utterly uninterested in taking player feedback into account; instead, they appear to believe their alterations to the game are brilliant. These recent updates have gradually discouraged me from continuing to play this game. Farewell, Blizzard.

    After 600+ hrs of playing since 2nd of June till today, I started to realize that I wasted too much time on this piece of good game. V1.1.1 creates more bugs. Thank u developers of Blizzard for persuading me to let go, so that I will have more time for other games with quality and especially endgame experience like POE. Adios!

    I'm disappointed , this is a garbage. You dont feel any progression, killing mobs is just pressing 1 button without thinking. Repetitive quests, boring world events, very fast game, so you cannot catch the beautiful graphic deaign. Story line is boring. I am sooo dissapointed

    Diablo 3 had rebirth. This allowed you to keep the same character. But resetting it to level 0 and starting the season. Redesigning a new character every time a season starts isn't interesting to me. What after 20 season I'll have 20 characters? I only want to manage 5 characters, one of each class.

    I loved the previous Diablo games. Getting loot kept me up all night until the break of dawn. With Although Diablo 4 has cool new features, it seems like the core game itself isn't all there. The easiest example, I've found myself falling asleep and dying while playing!

    I have played to level 95 in this game on my highest character (necromancer), I put hundreds of hours into D3 (paragon 1200 just this past season) and similar games like Torchlight I and II, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Fate, Lost Ark, D2 Remastered, but D4 is frankly... mind numbingly boring. I feel weak, I still get one shot in nightmare dungeons. Items do not feel exciting and I amI have played to level 95 in this game on my highest character (necromancer), I put hundreds of hours into D3 (paragon 1200 just this past season) and similar games like Torchlight I and II, Grim Dawn, Path of Exile, Fate, Lost Ark, D2 Remastered, but D4 is frankly... mind numbingly boring. Feels like a chore and not a game, and I quit Lost Ark for those same reasons.

    In D3 the items determined your build and you could easily respec abilities and paragon points. In D4, everything is backwards. The stash is too small, the dungeons are slow and tedious. Objectives and bosses are repetitive and awful. There is no party system to easily group up with strangers for adventure mode, clans are useless, not enough bosses and content for 50+. The visuals for the main story were good, but parts of the plot felt so weak. Side quests give zero xp. Overall a solid 2/5 for me.

    Also PLEASE fix the golbins so they are exciting like D3 and drop good loot, portals, different types etc. Very sad. :( I want exciting loot that drops and I can just wear and easily reroll stats without wasting all my money. I don't want to stare at stats and spend so much time crafting with aspects that are lame anyway. Cube was much better.    … Expand

Could have used another year of development which is pretty inexcusable given the time and money Blizzard had to create this game. Start to figure out only 2-3 builds are reliable. End game is worthless. As you push into harder dungeons, the loot does NOT get better. the odds do not increase. The best loot is obtained in the same hour by hourPlayed at Pre-release. Game was fun, storyline was great. It really felt open and adventurous. Finish the story line @level 45/50. Grind out Paragons and builds to 100. Start to figure out only 2-3 builds are reliable. End game is worthless. As you push into harder dungeons, the loot does NOT get better. the odds do not increase. The best loot is obtained in the same hour by hour events, which are painstakingly easy. Better gear for harder dungeons that rewards junk gear, all the same grid-locked patterns with about 20 "options" of things to do in the dungeon. Depressing.… Expand

    And that's not to mention how broken a lot of things are in general, like resistances not even working? Several design issues that don't seem to get an improvement. Control issues for PC, and from what I hear also control issues for console. Plus a weird chatwheel which might make sense on console, but why is it in a PC-game where I should be able to bind any of my keyboard keys? The loot and crafting system and progressing to become stronger, does not feel like its really working or making an impact, it becomes a drag to continue.

    I'm not too happy losing my HC barb due to the game silently disconnecting me, where everything kept on playing almost entirely as normal, and when you realize something is slightly off, its already too late and you're dead. I'm used to HC, used to losing characters to stupid things, in PoE I've at some point had lag issues killing off a character, but at least there you notice the lag, and decide to push on anyway, and fail. I did not however decrease my score over this, its just another thing showing how broken things are... Actually kind of happy my char died so I have a reason not to play this game. That being said, I didn't play season one, I didn't play the first nerf-patch.    … Expand

    After a quick patch everything seems to be expected, been playing with Sorcerer and immensely enjoying it. There are still some issues with inventory management, but except for that, I enjoy playing it.

    The game overall is ok. You can definitely spend there few weeks-month by playing campaign and then exploring some endgame stuff to do until it starts getting boring. I had fun playing this amount of time so gaming is good.
    Rating it as 6, because game also has issues that needs to be solved.

Had a lot of bugs worked on and still has plenty more that needs attention. Being treated like this after I've given them 'real money' and didn't ask back for it, but for the platinum, is disgusting.

    - 80 to 10 frame drops out of nowhere with latest drivers (not running on the best video card tbh but if it can produce a steadily 60-80 for at least 80% of the time, the drops are irregularities)
    - features feel outdated, the grinding game is too strong and no incentive to come back
    - no point in continuing because there are too many things wrong with the game

    Worst bit is that after a month of break away from the game to give it time to stop disappointing it hasn't made much progress. 1 month of no real tangible improvement in a 2 mo old game, feels abandoned by devs only to have leads come up on stage to promise things.

On top of the gameplay issues, it now crashes constantly. Again, no issues initially, but as I progressed, the game started crashing more and more. Now I can't play for five minutes without a crash, and that is with graphicsI was really excited about this game initially.     Game released to early. Key elements of the game not working or as intended. Resistances, mount, spells, aspects, etc. Social connecting is terrible on this, no LFG etc... I have a list of about 50 items i sent in during beta along with bugs that are just being addressed. Sad that blizzard didn't improve on this release. Lesson not learned with diablo 3.

    Blizzard apparently released a buggy, unfinished, unpolished product and then starts nerfing indiscriminently without even understanding or listenig to the extremely unhappy playerbase.
    Just look at the extreme discepency between the "bought" critic reviews and the player reviews.

The developer has implemented patches to make the grind longer and harder via nerfs that they claim as game balances.Wasted my money, Don't buy if you have not. There are more worthy games that deserve your money and time. Try Baldur's Gate 3 or Amour Core 6.

    What a complete disappointment. With D4 being released into a timeframe with other massive releases at least we get to experience proper, well designed and finished games this summer. Blizz deserves all the hate they are getting and maybe just maybe they can figure their **** out and produce something with substance which will take years, if at all. The only good thing about the game was the campaign/cinematics but then you go look at the predatory microtransaction page and see what they are charging and how much of a rip off it is and then even the fun feeling of that goes away because a 100 dollar game is still trying to suck every last dollar out of you.

    I regret ever buying this dumpster fire. I am actually getting mad as I type this out that is how pissed I am at myself for giving them money. Worst part of it is that they don't care.     it's a shame. this class imbalance is disgusting. empty content (laughter and not the first season), the problem with farming black hearts (why? this is temporary content!!!! make it easier, but no...), endless self-repetition for the same activities and territories. All! This game is over for me. I wish I bought this garbage

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Great game. Probably the best in the Diablo franchise. Much better than the trash known as Diablo 3. I never give any game a perfect score, but as far as Diablo games go this is as near to perfection as the series has come. I would give it an 8 if not for the required internet connection which drops it 1 point solid 7/10 at least. I haven't played too deep into the campaign yet, but there is enough exploration, side quests, and dungeons to keep you busy for hours. The game rewards exploration and completing side quests/ dungeons. The side quests are my favorite addition as they are all dark and gritty while being compact yet in depth and enjoyable sub stories encapsulated within the main plot. To give an idea about the amount of exploration and reward that can happen here. I have barely completed act 1 and am already level 47, I have just barely started exploring the area to the northwest of the beginning region. This is from doing side quests and optional dungeons. A huge amount of work has gone into world building and emersion. The graphics are beautiful and don't resemble the comic book style of WOW and Diablo 3, which is a huge plus. Alot of the WOW DNA that contaminated Diablo 3 Is gone and replaced with all new mechanics. The leveling up system feels more akin to Diablo 2 than Diablo 3. The game as a whole feels like a sequel to Diablo 2 rather than Diablo 3 and this is also a huge source of brownie points. As a Diablo fan that has been with the series since the first game port on the PS1, this is a must play.

    I see alot of hate for this game saying the patches made it unplayable or something. My response to this is get better. You can respec your class at any time for a cost. My necromancer has made it through the patches unphased ( I'm playing a summoner). Currently enjoying earning the blood steed in an unpopulated server.    … Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
