    I forced myself through campaign and it was bad, I don’t know why, but it feels like big chunk of it does not contain any monsters at all. But it is Diablo right? Let’s try endgame, it will be fun? And nope, the same “quests” where you running through the fields, occasionally killing mobs. Still it has nice touch of pvp zones and I did like it.     I found this new Diablo game pretty enjoyable
    Of course it isn't perfect, but it menage to entertain me for more than 90 hours

    Garbage. Waste of time. I played to level 95 in the regular playthrough and 45 in season one. I was bored out of my mind and I couldn't even force myself to get to 100. Not even a game, just a cash grab.

    Don't buy this until it will get some patches making this game entertaining. Unfortunately, from my experience with blizzard games changes comes usually with paid DLCs...

    Overall story and graphics are on very good level but there is no endgame like in previous Diablo games.

    I bought the $100 collector edition and didn't even finish my free battle pass. This game is very shallow. Replayability is tedious. I was level 76 by the time I got the unique I need for my build. Quit the next day, why play any more? End game is laughable. They patch the game 3 times a week to fix the issues from the last patch.     My wife and I only play about 45 minutes per day during the week and a few hours Saturday and Sunday. I love that we can both do dungeons together and not need a bigger group. She is having a blast and it's fun playing with her. Thanks Blizz for the memories!

Потом в 2004 купил D2 - я два раза пере прошел игру и это было потрясно. Diablo 4 - изумительная и потрясающая - я не понимаю за что ставить так мало баллов!     The only fun part of this game is the campaign. Once that's over, there is no incentive to continue playing, everything feels slow and boring and is a chore to do and completely unrewarding. I'd rather do laundry and the dishes than play this game. The worst part is how the seasons are designed in a massive predatory way. I might sound crazy, but I think Bethesda would've done a better jobThe only fun part of this game is the campaign.     The Devs don't play their own game, and it shows. Blizzard is a hollow shell of what it once was, a husk made of monetized nostalgia and astronomical prices for the best looking gear only available in the shop.

Couldn't even refund my money bc I played more than 2 hours which funny.... that was the amount of time nobody could log on on the playstaion side. No license agreement. So that was a joke I literally stared at the main menu for 2 hours roughly waiting on launch to be disappointed. No refund. No gameplay. And even after the new season seems this game is still trash. The only game I've ever pre ordered.. gotten the battle pass and don't give a crap about it. I refuse to even bother. This game is notorious! ! Good luck with this "game" I see everywhere you're losing players by the minute. Good! They deserve BETTER. Way to go activision.. yall killed C.O.D. AND NOW DIABLO YAY… Expand

    I don't understand how 2 months into release I still can't play a sessions on Xbox without being disconnected. And when I get disconnected I have to wait 5 minutes before I can log back in, and then I'm back in town and lost all the progress of what I was working on. Literally every time I play. This is the same company that runs the world's most popular mmo.

    Seriously off-balance system where enemies level with you and only way to play at high level is with specific unique hard to get items and build to go with. Developers solution to these builds is nerf so you can't even level with most builds.

The game should have been $29.99 with the season content battle bass added. I paid the $100 for early access (fells like being a beta tester). I will NEVER redeem the free season pass.     The game is never really fun though beautiful and consistent. Do not waste your money on this game, it is not a gratifying experience - and grinding does not provide the fun it used to because of the over-engineering of drops; if you have a good mathematical eye this game does not provide a single surprise.
    And yeah, the story is ok, but very bread and butter - and the lack of development clearly point to a greedy need to be able to leave the story openended (because a fortune is not enough to pay for a full game, apparantly).
    The lack of offline mode is -3.
    Everyone involved (except the people who built it) deserve to be remembereed for greed, greed, lack of imagination, greed and greed and pure capitalist greed. This game gets a score of piss...    … Expand

Apparently, the developers are either blissfully unaware of the gaming landscape or simply sadistic, reveling in the suffering of players with arthritis, carpal tunnel, or any other disability that makes traditional controls difficult.

    But oh, don't worry, because apparently having control options isn't supposed to translate to good gameplay. No, according to the masterminds behind Diablo 4, we're all just supposed to adapt to their archaic control scheme and be grateful for the privilege of enduring their nonsensical design choices. Because who needs player accessibility and comfort when you can frustrate your audience to the point of tears?

    And let's not even get started on the price tag. $130 for a game that's stuck in the past, not even bothering to acknowledge the basic standards of user-friendly controls? It's as if the developers are actively trying to rob players blind while simultaneously flipping them the middle finger. Congratulations, Blizzard, you've managed to outdo yourselves in creating a product that redefines the meaning of buyer's remorse.

    In conclusion, Diablo 4 is a catastrophic failure on every conceivable level. Its lack of WASD support is a slap in the face to gamers with disabilities, and the notion that control options are somehow irrelevant to good gameplay is mind-bogglingly absurd. Revealing the season 2 trailer two months early would not make this game better. Blizzard should play (not test!) the game yourself, focus    I am glad I can choose a 0 score for this game.     I’m baffled by this game. I’ve got about 150 hrs of playtime. It was a blast playing through the campaign. Then endgame grinding started around level 50, and really slowed down around 70. I started to get bored around level 85 since everything was so slow to level up. After about 3 weeks, they release a patch that boosts experience for nightmare dungeons and other endgame activities. II’m baffled by this game. I’ve got about 150 hrs of playtime. It was a blast playing through the campaign. Then endgame grinding started around level 50, and really slowed down around 70. I started to get bored around level 85 since everything was so slow to level up. After about 3 weeks, they release a patch that boosts experience for nightmare dungeons and other endgame activities. I can actually see my xp bar move now. They buff and tweak a bunch of things. So far so good.

    Fast forward to day before S1. Global xp nerf. Global defense nerf. Global damage nerf. What?! Prior to this patch, my level 100 rogue was clearing Tier 50-55 nightmare dungeons easily. I could push to 60, but that was sketchy and I died a lot. Post patch I try the lowest tier NM I have on hand: 51. I die 4x and am kicked out of the dungeon within 3 minutes. Wow. I crafted and tried a 45 next. Died twice and barely made it through. I don’t get it. I’m not pushing tier 100 and crushing it easily. I haven’t even killed Uber Lilith yet. Sure, I play 20-25 hrs a week, but I’m by no means elite. I only have a single 100 character. The game became objectively less fun. For what?

    I speculate that the team that worked on Season 1 realized their content wasn’t well balanced and wouldn’t keep players engaged for 3 months, and instead of addressing the issues in the season, they simply slowed down the game and made it harder. Meh.    … Expand

    "Professional" critics could not be more opposite than regular player reviews. This game is not part of the Diablo series in my opinion. The skill tree is so boring that it doesn't even matter any more (i tried both the wizard and the druid).     The dev, secretly made a game for the pro's, and forgot to tell us. Uber lilith is so hard, I have quit the game simply because she has so much damn aoe and one kills, i tried changing my character to a better build online and i lose even worse! my track record against her is probably me 0 uber lilith 100 and im sick of it. seems fairly obvious that they arnt thinking of the players anymore.

    Imagine former Diablos, take out all awesome endgame collectibles and put them behind a store pay wall. I could rant about the nonexistent endgame the whole day, but the fact that there a no emotes, death shrines, animated weapons and skins to be unlocked for free at all, there is just absolutely nothing to keep playing for. Invest your time and money in literally anything else.

    Diablo 4 should rather be named as "Hell 4 U". It was funny to play at the start, but lack of content, lack of boss variety, short story, awful season just destroying the experience.
    In case new bosses, activities and season content added I'd likely to get back.
    For now, not playing and even regreting buying it.

Hardcore characters dying to off screen attacks. Buyer beware. Not sure how much the Blizzard paid the Critic Reviewers....

    I enjoyed the campaign even though it is really short. After level 50 the game is extremely boring…the campaign is the only thing keeping me from giving it a zero. I’m kinda over of these AAA developers rushing, what could be great games out to the public.

    I don't know why I still hoped that Blizzard could manage to make a decent game, but even this time, it's a total letdown. The latest patch is the confirmation that they don't even know which direction to take for improvements. If I could go back in time, I wouldn't buy it, as I won't buy any of their games blindly anymore. Embarrassing for a company of this size.

    4. Stash. The game has 5 stash-tabs for 10 possible characters. 5 tabs. 5. 5! This is a joke. I can't even create a twink in this game, because there is no space for him.

    The game is just pure crap. The lag is huge every time I want to play and if it appears when you're in combat, you can just lose all hope of survival. In addition to all other critics that are completely true, they make this game unplayable.

    We had fun on Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. We now have a new Diablo and this is Diablo 4. It's still a hack and slash action-packed game. It never gets old.

    I understand the noobs. They hate everything. But I am no noob. I gunned down many of these noob Diablo 4 haters on its forums. And I would continue to do it. They just need to GITGUD. A perfect game for them is a faceroll game.    We had fun on Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. We now have a new Diablo and this is Diablo 4. It's still a hack and slash action-packed game. It never gets old.

    In general, the game is very poor, the story is not bad, but the endgame is one of the worst things I've seen in my more than 30 years of playing video games. Many things can be said, but it can be summed up by the fact that it is an extremely boring game, with mechanics designed by children. It seems like a game from 15 years ago, with no content and no motivation to keep playing.

    Put a patch to nerf the entire game and punish 6 million players because FIVE (5) YouTubers found a way to break it and one shot Lilith. Who the F cares!? You know what, forget it. It's all old news. Everyone has already said it. So never mind, I have nothing further to say about that stuff.

    However, I finished the Season 1 Journey. I got my final reward, I opened it, then I quit.

    300 hundred hours into trying to find a way to love this game and you dump this crappy reward on all of the people who where foolish enough to hold out hope and keep the faith that something good would come and actually finish it.

    Terrible devs, terrible publisher's, terrible game. Played this game for over 200 hours and what a waste of life it has turned out to be. I was just waiting and hoping for a fix to multiple aspects of the game which never come. What a shame as it has alot of potential.

I'm actually surprised they released this game, let alone releasing this game in the state that it is. The release was one of the scummiest things that I've ever seen a blizzard do, as everybody thought that the battle pass was going to be immediately available to get rewards from day one! But of course no they don't want you to experience MORE things at once so they have to do MORE work COULD YOU MAKE THE GAME ACTUALLY INTERESTING, SO THEY HAD TO STRING IT OUT AND LET YOU BEAT THE GAME AND THEN THEY GAVE YOU THE BATTLE PASS. The battle pass mind you doesn't give you enough to buy the next battle pass nor does it allow you to buy anything of use in the store! Not to mention the dark pattern that exists for controller players where you will automatically click on it by pressing a which is so unfortunate, greedy, and disgusting that they are refusing refunds for the token. Bobby Kotick is the worst thing that has ever happened to gaming. Activision is the worst thing that has ever happened to getting so for them the two forces to be combined is the most shamefully disgusting and scummy company to ever exist. I'm just glad that while I was playing the game I never saw anybody with any purchased cosmetics, and the one time that I did I made fun of the guy. He actually apologized and told me it wasn't worth it lmao. I'm so sad to see the state of gaming nowadays and I'm so happy to see that Baldur's Gate 3 is going to kick the s*** out of you guys for years to come. Even if those bugs get fixed the Quaiity of Life in this game is terrible, its not fun to play (See: Mount issues, Crowd control, Offscreen attacks, On-Death effects). And worst of all, if you are willing to tolerate all of this the grind isD4 is so bad. After hitting levels 60-70 Diablo IV will get boring for casual players, but for hardcore fans, it starts getting more interesting, as optimization of build and gear are necessary in order to push higher difficulty levels. Season 1 was probably launched too soon, and it didn't provide crucial additions to the game, however it is still fun to play and leaves room for experimentation.… Expand

I have a level 63 seasonal Rogue, my highest character, because I got bored at 61 on my original Rogue, couldn't get past 55 on Druid because it bored me, and a 45 Sorceress I just don't    Levels 20-55 or 60 give players a false sense that this is leading somewhere when really, you've essentially played all there is to play by the time you're 60% leveled up.

    This is an enormous problem.     Then the devs literally punish players instead of enhancing fun with their patches.

    Then they show two devs that are so bad they don't even *accidentally* use core skills or potions like a 5-year-old would if they button mashed, dying in T1 at lvl 55 had to turn off the comments on the YouTube video because Blizzard themselves pushed the negative narrative that devs are disconnected from the games they work on.    … Expand

Add on top of that the frequent bugs, lag from being forced to play online and developers that clearly do not play the game and nerfing and taking away the little fun that was to be had I would not recommend wasting $70 on this.… Expand

Ich glaube da haben sich ein paar Praktikanten zusammengeschlossen, zuviel Jacky Cola intus und nach einem Wochenende steht das Spiel. Ich habe dokumentierte (das meiste auf Videomaterial) Abstürze von MINIMUM 18 Stück am Tag. Unzählige mühsam stundenlang gefarmte Items sind nach den Abstürzen allesamt verschwunden ohne Aussicht auf Wiederkehr. Season 1 hat das ganze entsprechend verschäft. Womit ich wieder bei der Praktikantentheorie wäre. Zum Glück kenne ich keinen Blizzard Mitarbeiter, aufgrund der Erfahrungen verschiedener Spiele dürfte dies aber kein wirklicher Verlust sein.

    - Grafik akzeptabel aber keinesfalls Hochwertig (RTX)
    - Ständige Spielabbrüche und abstürze bei unterschiedlichsten Parametern (andere GraKa, anderer PC, anderer Bildschirm, Systemupdates, Neuinstallation etc.
    - Alptraum Dungeons sind praktisch nicht spielbar. Mein S1 Char ist jetzt auf 78 und ich habe 2 Glyphen auf 5. (Das auch nur nach mehrfachen Abstürzen usw.) Ich brauche die Dinger nichtmal öffnen.
    - Insofern ist das Spiel welches einen absurd hohen Preis von mehr als 100€ aufweist NICHT spielbar. Das ist nichtmal eine BETA. Alpha anfang. Sollte umgehend von den Servern entfernt werden, korrigiert und in einem oder zwei Jahren wieder vollfunktionsfähig auf den Markt zurück kommen. Ich habe Blizzard mehrfach darüber unterrichtet, dass ich bitte mein Geld zurück haben möchte, sämtliches von mir erspieltes Material kan unwiderruflich gelöscht werden. Reaktionen darauf gibt es lediglich: "sie freuen sich auf meine Anwaltsschreiben). Blizzard hat sich bei Immmortal bereits den Jackpot geleistet und setzt mit Diablo IV nochmal einen darauf!
    Bis mal jemand nichtmehr frisch im Schädel ist und dort Amok läuft. Dann ist das geschrei groß.

    Mir ist zum Glück bewusst, dass dies eine strafbare Handlung wäre, weswegen ich nur noch eine allerletzte Schlussfolgerung daraus ziehen kann: Blizzard hat einen jahrzehntelangen Kunden auf ewig verloren. Ich wünsche allen beteiligten einen rechtleitenden Weg.

    Also there is NOT A SINGLE REASON to go higher level dungeons since loot is based on YOUR level and not dungeons (thats just straight up bs, not even in a funny way)

    Out of good things: the graphics and souns is really good

    EDIT: The game should have never came out on consoles because of stupid targeting system and idiotic horse riding. Even Diablo 4 designers don't play the game, what do you expect out of the game, they made the game so frustrating, and bugs everywhere, sometimes you don't even realize that's a bug or it's meant to be like that. tbh, I enjoyed the game when it first came out, but a recent patch made me feel like they didn't care what users thought, the only thing they cared is how they can drive users to stay in the game longer, so they made the game harder without thinking what negative impact the patch will cause to the game, they fixed bursting venom, now my rogues left.… Expand

    GRAPHICS, ART and SOUND:
    Somewhere between the dour, dark and evil tones of the Diablo 1 and 2, and the brighter, more arcade-like art of Diablo 3. The environments are relatively simple but well made, with enemy design and animations being detailed and impressive. Character customization is also at a new high for the series (admittedly not a high bar to clear).

    GAMEPLAY:
    On the plus side, each character seems to have a variety of unique, interesting fighting styles, and often have ways to set up combos within their abilities. Several of these can help other players in your group as well, letting you tag-team larger monsters. As usual, some classes are harder to play than others, but that's not unexpected; the main issue is that a few classes seem drastically underpowered compared to others (at the time of writing, Sorcerer and Druid suffer from this).

    Diablo 2 had slow progression, especially in its endgame, but Diablo 4's mechanics seem to be actively trying to slow you down. You can't get a horse until quite late in the campaign, making it slower to traverse the world map. Gear stats are incredibly minor, making any upgrades from piece-to-piece feel tiny, removing much of the joy from finding new loot, even for 'legendary' items. Loot on the whole seems lackluster, with even larger bosses not dropping much of interest.

    In battle, many better skills have lengthy cooldowns and mana (or 'resource') recharge is much rarer for most characters, meaning for certain builds you will be running in circles waiting for your cooldowns or mana to recharge during tougher fights.

    In addition, enemies scale to your level. This isn't an issue on its own, but it also means you can't go back to an earlier area to have fun curbstomping weaker foes, and you can't find higher-level enemies to challenge yourself against and try to eke out a bit more XP. This leads to a disheartening feeling where despite better gear, better skills and better skill, you never really feel like you're becoming a powerhouse, always stuck slogging through even chaff enemies if your big combos are on cooldown.

    In addition, enemies lack diversity, and you'll often be fighting the same enemy types throughout the game with slight color differences.

    The gameplay is still good, and has a decent core, but much of the design choices surrounding that core seem to detract from the fun of it.

    STORY AND LORE:
    Oh boy, where do I start?

    Okay, for one, the setting has been greatly expanded and we get a good look at the 'good' forces of Sanctuary. We also see a lot more of the corruption and temptation aspects of evil and how people can fall to it, as well as the zealotry and disturbing nature of even the 'good' side of the conflict. Good stuff.

    However, the main story is... eh. It's so, so close to being good on a number of occasions. Lilith is a good antagonist, with clear motivations and sympathetic but still EVIL feel to her. Several other characters have decent arcs as well.

    The problem is there are multiple moments in the story where I stared and shouted 'WHY?!' Why would you leave the place where you are protected to get some fresh air to be literally captured seconds later? Why would you taunt your arrogant ally with the macguffin you have so they confiscate it from you? Why would you listen to a deal that a literal greater demon is offering you? WHY would you have a major boss from an earlier game pop up with NO build up and NO reason, just to further your character's badass credentials right before the last act?

    There's so much to work with here but missteps seem to plague the plot's every move, and many parts of the story feel needlessly dragged out to make sure you visit as many corners of the map as possible.

    DESIGN:
    Baffling. There's so many poor design choices that hold this game back. No horse until over halfway through the game. Incredibly slow progression. Poorly implemented caling enemies. Incremental gear. The lack of balance smacks of being redesigned at some point.

    CONCLUSION:
    Diablo 4 is decent, even good. But it's not great.

    ARPGs rely on a good 'feel' to prosper. Diablo 2 is my favorite in the series because I adore the feel of it, no matter how old the game is. Diablo 4 struggles with that. When it worked, it worked well, but too often I got annoyed with small quality of life issues and design choices. So while I enjoyed the game, I can't say that I feel the need to play it further.

    Honestly, at the end of the day, it feels more like they took another game and did it up to look and sound like Diablo, but it doesn't truly play like Diablo.

The world map is huge but its the same boring background of desert and plains. A lot of running and wasting time in the same boring environment. You never feel strong during the leveling process.

    I have been waiting for years for this to squad with the boys, but this is just garbage. Not even close to D3.

    I would refund if I could but you cant refund after 2 hours played. Blizz is officially dead. Soulless corporation that only wants your dollars. Buy this game if you hate yourself and the gaming community and want to buy bobby another yacht.    … Expand

    This game is a joke. Once you reach level 100, there's nothing to do but repeat the same thing. I've played for over 300 hours and even played the first season with a different character, reaching level 60. I felt that it wasn't worth my time anymore because it doesn't offer anything new, just repetitive gameplay without any purpose.

    They turned an arpg looter power fantasy series into a greed grind. This game is good at stripping you of any sense of feeling accomplished, and the money from your wallet with bloated prices for cosmetics that you don't really see very well in an isometric game anyway, season passes which is a grind ON TOP OF stripping your accrued progress on you to force you to do it all again.

They have an awful 40-50 actual skin tiers and the rest give you either little to no platinum or some underpowered ashes that give you single-digit percentage buffs you have to unlock via level. They nerf every class every patch except for Sorc and Necro because casuals play them the most and just want to bank from those players alone. The Barb is nearlyThis game is litteraly robbery.     I’ve finished the game as Barbarian. And it was kind of…boring. You just hold X, wait for the rage to fill and then push “square”. I had another build, it was one more button complicated.    Long awaited game for me. Not because I’m such a big fan of Diablo series in general, just really wanted to play co-op story game with friends. Developers do not treat us often with that kind of games.

    I’ve finished the game as Barbarian. And it was kind of…boring. You just hold X, wait for the rage to fill and then push “square”. I had another build, it was one more button complicated. The main problem is difficulty. On the first run I was only able to choose second difficulty as highest, not taking into account the last one, where you could only die once. On this difficulty there was only one boss, who fought back - Butcher. All the others, including Lilith - we’ve been just standing in one spot, holding X, pushed second, rarely - third button sometimes. And that’s it. No challenge. At all.

    What really pissed me off - is that Blizzard has purposely left difficulty change for after the campaign is done. I was here only for the campaign. I don’t like being restricted and pushed into the “endgame” content. I’m not interested in pointless dungeon exploration, looting etc. Endgame - means that game is finished for me. At this point I exit and go sell it.

    Another mistake player like me could make - take side missions. By the 60-70% completion of the main story you’ll be around level 45-50. That means further development of your character is pointless and brings no joy. You already have all the main skills, it makes no sense to change the build, because the game already doesn’t challenge you at all. So just follow the main story, I suppose that way the gameplay will be more satisfying.

    Graphics are beautiful. Locations too. Sound is good. Atmosphere great and story is pretty good for the series. The main problem is that there’s no challenge for people, who are only after story completion. Vampire Survivors were more complicated.     p.s. Haven’t played Season 1, I’ve finished game before. Once again - the idea of going through Season 1 only with a new character is unimaginably ridiculous. I don’t want to go through that same story and locations once again.

    p.p.s. I understand, that it’s hard to balance between 2 major groups of Diablo audience - those, who don’t care about story and are only interested in “Endgame” and those, who are, like me, here only for the main story. But, remember “If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one”.

O gráfico é Bonito, porém acizentado os worlds Bosses, são legais no começo, depois começa se tornar muito repetitivo, a blizzard nerfou tudo do game do nada. Pra que? E por que? Did everything I needed to— finally sat down and…I’m in a queue? How long do I have to wait…? No thank you. I do not want to wait in line to play a game.

    Can’t forget all the times I was at the end of a dungeon and the server crashed and I had to do it all over again. There are too many of those dungeons to collect aspects (special boosts to certain character attributes and abilities). You may get sick of them very quickly.

    D III was more fun.

    If I could go back in time I would have told me to spend the $ on Baldur’s Gate 3 pre-order and Trepang2.    … Expand

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
