    I've never seen a game made like this

    I can only make something like this with a good IP like Diablo..

    This game is rubbish **** they didn't learn from diablo 3 and it wasn't inspired by Diablo Immortal. You cant play season with main character and continue in story. There is nothing meaningfully to do after story. Only grind again and again. Skill tree looks like it did youtuber kid without experiences from real RPG. New patch 1.1 is nightmare to the fun of the game, wasting too much time to grind out, character's power are purposely capped, all to satisfy the developer satisfaction, not players. After spending massive hours on the game, to receive this kind of treatment from developer, this is kind of insult. Avoid this game at all cost, developer can not be trusted… Expand

    -Seasonal mechanic is not strong enough to compensate the loss

    The devs want to make the players their slaves. They want us to spend all our time on grinding and not enjoying the game. No more Diablo, no more Blizzard games. We do not have everyday 10 hours to waste on this sht. Don't waste any money. I bought the season pass but this is gonna be the last.

    This is a disgrace on gaming history. Can’t believe i waste my time leveling my character for hours just for them to nerf it to the ground. They really does not want us to have fun which is the point of playing a game.

    Made account just so i can say how trashy this game is. Necro cant direct minions and is so boring, barb is USELESS, others are mostly boring. druid is kinda fun, but it ugly AF.

    TL DR : Players spent (3A) game money to get a (B-) buyout product , later turned to a (D-) product after few updates . And Blizzard still running the disrespectful mode : They think it is cool , aren't you thankful ?

They also added useless stats to gear that was already extremely hard to get good rolls on and the reroll mechanic is absolute crap.     It's so much fun playing with a bud during the day, but go try to play at night:
    - my toon is bouncing across the screen, literally shoowed out of rooms
    - can't even pick up loot - the whole point - just can't touch that.. it's a problem - then out of nowhere surrounded by ants which despite barriers, which aren't calculated properly burn me down in 1.5 secs - sure other people are    It's so much fun playing with a bud during the day, but go try to play at night:

    - how can I get drops 10 lvl's below me ALL THE TIME? Sure lvl means nothing it's all about the build, still it's annoying

    Was okay before. Really gorgeous. Game still stutters all of the time and I realized that after about level 70, the game doesn't change. There just doesn't feel like there's any incentive to keep playing. Season 1 was a ray of light, but upon realize, it's garbage. All of the things that made grinding annoying, go worse.

    One wonders why Blizzard keeps coming up with such insane ideas. How to make a Season 1 completely unattractive before it even starts. If you still want players in Season 2, you should listen to the players now. Microsoft is pretty stupid to buy such a company as Activision Blizzard.

    I really regret that I bought the game! At best, good optics are presented here, but the fun of playing falls by the wayside. The loot system just sucks and the builds are all dull and slow. Blizzard, you screwed up.

    Worst game operations. Worst patches. Worst user-friendliness. Worst games that aren't worth your money. Why the 2 second delay in exiting a dungeon? Why the workbench out of town? None of this is about the user, it's about a bunch of crazy people making a game with crazy ideas.

Boring grindy, I see i have to now get renown again in Season 1. So ****ing so excited for that. Haven't logged in for weeks until today. Goblins are worthless, it is just a grind and no incentive to do it. It's so expensive and time consuming toWas looking forward to this game for years.     The game was fun, and the story was well voiced and animated. End-game content is a little lacking though. Season 1 has also been a little underwhelming; but I'm only about 10hrs in.

    What is the Diablo IV killer?
    Path of Exile? NO.
    Baldurs Gate III? NO.
    Blizzard Entertainment? Absolutely yes. The game is dead now with the new season 1 patch. I cannot dedicate another set of hundreds of hours to grind from level 1 to 100, with the bloody nerfed characters. Go screw yourself Blizzard.

    Im so convinced that the ppl who made decision don't play this game at all. The game has so much potential. But ruined by the those balance patches. Lots unnecessary nerfs make this game less fun to play. They really want ppl playing with their way. Why you do that to a almost single player game. We just want to kill some mobs and farm gears. The nerfs from 1.1 hit my Barb but I'm not too worried. Blizzard knows it's stuff. Perhaps some players should chill a bit more outside the game. This game is definitely not a 1 or 2. How is it possible that Blizzard doesn't know anything about their game? 0/10 is not enough for a €70 title that was supposed to be a game for years. And also paid content in the game we pay for.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. First and foremost, I am a casual gamer. I was not supposed to buy this game but bought it anyway because of how much I enjoyed D3 playing wizard/sorcerer.

    I played sorcerer for the campaign and toughed it out using a frost nova hydra build because it was the most suitable with my playstyle. Battles were usually long and arduous. Later on it became a task. I am mainly a solo player and only encounter other players during world events. That's when I see players 10 levels lower than my sorc from other classes dealing more damage.

    I don't usually look at the numbers (unlike the plyers at reddit which is cool) but the disparity between classes was in plain sight. I thought maybe the sorc will be stronger at 100 but happened upon a 100 sorc in a legion event. Both of us tried to take down a structure but it took painfully long until a druid "TOUCHED" it and took us out of our misery. Honestly it was demoralizing since the druid was lvl 77, I was at 86.

    Basically, a 80+ and a 100 lvl sorc combined, is weaker than a 77 druid. I retired my sorc that night. I would have uninstalled the game but I paid 150+ for this and I have not gotten my money's worth. If I can't get it from the fun aspect, I might as well get it from playtime.

    Created a rogue for season 1 and battles are finally looking up. But...

    Season 1 is underwhelming and frustrating. New dungeon mechanics make it hard to complete for malignant hearts but require a malignant invoker that is not even a guaranteed drop in the same dungeon. Am I supposed to run around dungeons for a "chance" to complete it because that, to me, sound like a scam and a good way to tell me to cut my losses and just uninstall.

    I expected a fun game and a little challenge. I guess Blizzard wanted to build a challenging game more than a fun one so now we get a patch that makes things more difficult, in the process lessening the fun aspect. The game has become more and more uninteresting.

    The only saving grace I have is I share the account with my partner and did not pay twice for a bad game.    … Expand

    I believe Diablo IV has to potential to become a masterpiece. The classes and their abilities truely feel amazing and RP. The campaign is by far the best across all games of this genre. It actually makes me want to sit, relax and enjoy it instead of skipping like every other ones. The leveling experience could be improved on some classes but overall feels great and rewarding.     The game had an absolute amazing launch. Unfortunatly, it still has some issues and the most recent patch made a lot of the community feel like the devs were out of touch. I partly felt this way too but after seeing how fast they are pushing out content and how well feedback is listened to and influcences their design decisions is giving me more than hope.

    I really dislike the review bombing that some people are doing. Giving a game a 0/10 is just plain unfair.

Blizzard has siloed/segregated the community by implementing this. We have the choice of creating a brand new character (to access content we already purchased) or use prior characters with access to no new content. Potions, sigils, strongholds, side quests, renown, are all freaking reset. I feel I wasted 200 hours on a level 75+ sorcerer and 60 rogue.     The game was fantastic at first but recent patches have really tarnished my experience since I play sorcerer. It was a 10, but I’m changing to a 8 based on the recent changes. I just hope they make my class viable again soon!

Blizzard is not the same it once was, the people working at Blizzard ain't same and I think everyone can see this. They only makes the game worse instead of better with patches.     -Level rubberbanding. What’s the point of leveling up if the enemies are always at the same level as you? This just about ruins the entire experience, and they might as well remove enemy and character levels all together.
    -No WASD controls. You have any idea how awkward this game is using a mouse to direct character movement? This should have been a very obvious and basic feature on day one of release. Once again more evidence that this game was rushed to release because of greed.

    The most recent patch by Blizzard legitimately lowered the power of players in every single Metric. Damage done = Down Damage taken = Up Cooldowns = Increased Experience Gained = Reduced Time to exit    The biggest issue is the actual Lack of a game here. There's no "end game", there's no milestones, there's zero things in the game to keep characters and people actually playing.

    Player power across the board was reduced, BUT, no adjustments, or fixes were implemented to fix or help the huge amount of bugs, and imbalances in the game. Weak classes were made even weaker, while legitimately 1 strong build from 3 of the 5 classes was left basically untouched.

    Sorcerors and Barbarians are legitimately unplayable at the moment even on the "easy" T1 difficulty.

    The Season 1 Mechanic is nothing but reskinned legendary gems from Diablo III, its boring, rehashed content from a game over a decade old.

    Game is fun for a while. Does look great and has a good story but falls apart in the end game. Poor performance as well. Gets very repetitive and the grind in this game is unlike any other I’ve played. I was giving Blizzard one last chance and now they won’t get another dime from me. Wasted my money and time. Strongly recommend against buying this. At far away from Blizzard.

    While the game had some launch issues, and I still am not ok with Blizzard and it's prices / decisions, I can't vote because of that, because I enjoyed the game, so I don't believe a bad rating would solve anything, even if the servers couldn't keep up at launch because of the mass log in, which was to be expected.
    Anyway, great game, love the story, can't wait to see what they do in the future.

    is a cash grab wouldn't recommend buying this game. the devs nerfed everything to the ground instead of fixing the main problems. limited stash tabs, devs are out of touch with fans, playerbase and casual players, lackluster gameplay. it gets boring after finishing the story of the game, everythings been nerfed and its not fun to play anymore.

    This is actually a good game. Seasons will change and people will get mad but the critic reviews don't lie. It's still a fantastic game that the majority of people who have probably rated this game low have sunk 100s of hours into in the first 2 months.

    I did have fun for a bit but the micro transactions and battlepass are gonna kill diablo for me. Its very clear the focus is on those, they've developed the Battlepasses and won't even have leaderboards for multiple seasons. That is insane considering the competition is literally the point of seasons. But obviously those micro transactions are the only priority to them.

    I have been a Diablo fan/player since 1998 when I got my first PC. I've continued playing Diablo 2 since it was released until this very day. I never thought I would actually HATE a Diablo game but this one did it for me.

    On top of that, the patch introduced a plethora of game-breaking bugs and glitches. It's mind-boggling how such critical issues made it past any sort of quality control. From crashes that force players to restart their game repeatedly to game-breaking exploits that ruin the experience for everyone, it's clear that the developers didn't bother to test this patch before releasing it. The lack of attention to detail is glaring, and it makes the game nearly unplayable.

    But the disappointment doesn't end there. Diablo IV's Season 1 patch also managed to somehow make the game's graphics worse. How is that even possible? The once impressive and atmospheric visuals have been downgraded to a point where it feels like I'm playing a game from a decade ago. The art style that initially drew players into the dark and haunting world of Diablo has been diluted, leaving behind an unremarkable and forgettable experience.

    Even the new character additions are underwhelming. Instead of bringing in unique and engaging classes to diversify gameplay, we get lackluster variations of existing ones. It's lazy and shows a complete lack of creativity on the part of the development team. Players deserved better, and this patch just feels like a cheap attempt to stretch the already thin content even further.

    Furthermore, the supposed balance changes have only made matters worse. Some classes have been nerfed to the ground, while others have been buffed to the point of being overpowered. The result is a frustrating and uneven playing experience that leaves players feeling disheartened and cheated.

    In conclusion, Diablo IV's Season 1 patch is an absolute disaster. It fails to deliver on its promises of exciting new content, introduces game-breaking bugs, downgrades the graphics, and offers lackluster character additions. As a long-time fan of the franchise, I can't help but feel betrayed by the developers' lack of respect for the players. I can only hope they learn from this colossal failure and make the necessary improvements to salvage what's left of this once-great franchise. From the sweet patch that ruined my main characters (sorceress) where I invested a lot of time to get to 100 lvl and then boom belong to the trash, or from that blizzard literally doesn't respect players time at all, I tried to res-pec the paragon of my Sorc. and guess what happened, 6 million coin was not enough, i got stuck in the second board, ,I don't know from where to start......     I created this account just to say I that I don't like this game. I loved d2 and d3. I'm not saying those were perfect games but I loved playing them.

    I find d4 to be unplayable. I enjoy a little grind and a little struggle when to best a boss but what is in d4 is too much. I don't have the time or the patience for it.

    It was a waste of money.

    There's a fair bit to like about Diablo IV — best-in-class sound design, intriguing character classes, fantastic graphics and occasionally addictive gameplay all feel like the series in its prime. However, even the best parts are let down by an undercurrent of frustrating design choices: the cynical inclusion of a Battle Pass, a bloated open world, repetitive mission structure and progression that too often feels meaningless cast a long shadow that let the latest Diablo title down. Future Seasons may refine what's here, but many of its issues sadly feel baked into the core experience. All but the most die-hard fans may wish to wait for a substantial sale on this one.

    The visuals are probably what excited me the most. The way the game looks and the atmosphere makes me feel like I'm playing the old Diablo again. On steroids and on a quadruple screen TV, but the feeling is still there. [Issue#328]
