On Your Tail is a lively journey through Liguria in the role of the young Diana, a Turinese in search of inspiration for her new work. Built well and with soul, the title reaches the heart of the player with simplicity and skill, leveraging the memories and memories of the past of each of us. It is not easy, if we think about it, to be able to tell oneself with memories. Long live memories, then, but also beautiful Italian video games. And On Your Tail is a beautiful Italian video game.- The Games Machine

Crimesight is a successful mix between Among Us, Clue/Cluedo and Hitman Go. Although there are two quite different kinds of gameplay depending on the faction you belong to, it manages to make them both equally interesting and I really can’t tell you if I had more fun playing with Sherlock or Moriarty. Once the initial very pleasant surprise is over, however, it becomes a victim of its own mechanics, not guaranteeing any variety. With more maps, more situations and more characters it could capture a very large community lasting for years. The content of next updates will therefore be – according to the spirit of the game – a matter of life or death.- The Games Machine

Open Roads is an extremely classic narrative adventure that nevertheless offers a mature and passionate story. The game design focuses on the key engines of the many productions of this type and succeeds in the complex attempt to prove pleasant and surprising. A production that, without a doubt, has its own personality. Exactly like that of Annapurna Interactive, one might say.- The Games Machine

Based on a simple premise, Nitro Gen Omega’s combat is genuinely very entertaining and well thought out, and the fun animations are a nice added value. Unfortunately, grindy progession, a barebones open world, unexciting characters, and a perplexing system for switching mechas end up dragging the entire game down.- The Games Machine

Darktide would have deserved a better score, because the game itself is good, real good. But poor optimization (not entirely justified by the game’s looks), far too common game crashes, and a loot economy that cannot help but raise some eyebrows end up impacting the user experience. It’s still a great 40k game, but you might want to wait for some patches if you’re on the fence.- The Games Machine

Princess Peach gives proof of great transforming talent in this her second "solo" adventure. Ten transformations take turns in levels filled with mini-games and secrets. The more I played Romeo is a Dead Man, the more I realized I was in the presence of the quintessential decent video game, nothing more. The game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture is a formally correct action game, without any particular or obvious flaws, but also lacking in interesting sparks and ideas. Beyond the crazy style typical of Suda51's works, what remains is an "old school" video game that can entertain fans of the genre for about fifteen hours, but never truly excels. It's a shame about the optimization, or rather, the lack thereof.- The Games Machine

Prinny presents NIS Classics Volume 2 offers a more convincing selection of releases than its predecessor, making it a good purchase for those who want to get their hands on the old NIS classics. If you've spent countless hours playing the two games present at the time of their release, consider that the new features introduced (in this case Petta Mode, for the first time in the West) are not substantial enough to justify another playthrough, especially without the tools to fully enjoy them on high-definition screens.- The Games Machine

For a virtual rider, RIDE 4 is like a trip to heaven. Milestone’s latest game is simply what every two-wheeler and video game enthusiast needs, the best in handling, motorcycle variety and selection of tracks. The simple pleasure of driving lies at the heart of a technologically excellent title, that will soon become a much-welcome haven for those who love riding on two wheels. A pity, however, that the purchase of new motorcycles is locked behind progress in a career bound by classic (not to say old) game design concepts; the races in themselves are fun, but penalized by a weak AI and too strict penalties for minor errors. Despite these issues, RIDE 4 is one of the best racing games of the generation thanks to its excellent presentation and gameplay feel.- The Games Machine

The atmosphere of Metro Awakening is extraordinary, skilfully realised thanks to an absolutely fine setting and great care for tension. The linearity of the path and a certain repetitiveness of generally already seen mechanics risk trivialising the whole thing, also in the light of the not exactly low price. Pleasant, dense and detailed, Deathsprint 66 is a video game that knows how to run because it puts microtransactions before the real and tangible adventure towards the players. Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song Remastered International is a thoughtful tribute to a peculiar and unrepeatable way of understanding Japanese role-playing games. The Italian localization finally makes accessible an extraordinarily free and unpredictable system, which rewards curiosity and punishes a linear approach with the same unwavering naturalness with which it allows quests to disappear without warning. The quality-of-life options, additional characters, and interface refinements mitigate the harshness of its historical rough edges, but do not distort its profound logic: Romancing Saga remains a living, ever-changing, sometimes unsettling ecosystem, always ready to surprise those who accept to be guided by the unexpected. Not a remaster for everyone, but an open door to a universe that resists compromise and continues to exist for those who seek, in JRPGs, something radically different from the usual.- The Games Machine

Famicom Detective Club is not the new Ace Attorney that many were hoping for, that much is clear. The new graphic design makes a huge (and obvious) step forward compared to the original, but the investigation mechanics really feel the weight of the years and might not meet the favour of less patient players. NHL 26 delivers a mixed experience. The game shows flashes of brilliance, thanks to a solid gameplay rhythm and a fair amount of on-ice spectacle, but it's still weighed down by a range of persistent issues. These flaws, while sometimes minor, can become increasingly frustrating over the course of a full season, especially for dedicated players. Life is Strange: Double Exposure is one of the best stories ever told by a video game, with a clever mix of mystery and science fiction. All the characters are credible although stereotyped, and the twists chase each other unpredictably while maintaining coherence with the narrative. Excellent technical realization, editing worthy of a television series and good acting support the plot that requires important decisions capable of influencing future events and personal relationships. The excessive ease in the progression could discourage those looking for a challenging game, but perhaps it is time to turn the page and embrace the new generation adventures.- The Games Machine

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered does a good job overall of modernizing a video game from over twenty years ago. The narrative charm of the saga remains intact, and the "quality of life" options—most notably the fully 3D camera—help to at least partially freshen up a gameplay afflicted by severe repetitiveness. It is a pity about some overly invasive aesthetic tweaks, primarily regarding the lighting, which ruin the decadent gothic atmosphere of the original. An original that, fortunately, is always right there: you just need to press two buttons to switch to the 2003 release, which has remained almost entirely intact, for better or worse.- The Games Machine

An aesthetically pleasing, fast-paced, and appropriately challenging FPS with platforming/parkour elements and a strong nod to the Metroid Prime series. The developers at Ruiner have already demonstrated their talent and demonstrate their prowess in creating atmospheric, futuristic adventures with incredibly captivating gameplay ideas.- The Games Machine

An Hades-style roguelike action game with the immortal Ninja Turtles... what could possibly go wrong? Nothing, in fact Super Evil Megacorp's take on the genre is definitely fun and accessible, with with an unmissable 4-players couch-coop mode. Splinter Fate reiterates (almost) all the right formulas already seen in similar titles, without daring anything new and proposing a tech compartment that could have been decidedly more ‘pushed’.- The Games Machine

Batman: Return to Arkham is a wasted opportunity. The two games are enjoyable even today, but the port by Virtuos Games is technically outrageous.- The Games Machine

When it first came out almost five years ago, Hard Reset was a pretty standard old-school shooter, with decent gameplay and a generic sci-fi atmosphere. The Remastered version does not improve a lot; the new katana in particular is pretty useless, if not detrimental, to the gameplay, and the graphics improvements are negligible.- The Games Machine

Dread Delusion is an homage to the open world RPGs of the past, in which many times intuition and correct interpretation of texts were worth as much as skill with swords, bows and fireballs. A question arises, however: does this still apply today? Certainly not for everyone. Low-resolution textures and models with very few polygons certainly work well in boomer shooters, slightly less in games in which the environments are key components of the experience. Still, the story is very interesting to follow, and if you get past the overly basic combat system it can engage you for a fair amount of hours.- The Games Machine

Grid is back to establish itself as one of the most exciting racing games in recent years. Missing a bit of courage, but the amount of cars and disciplines manages to keep high the desire to play. There are some technical limits and only 30 frames per second, but also wonderful weather and lighting management.- The Games Machine

The Elder Scrolls Online: Greymoor confirms the excellent premises already seen with previous expansions of the game, expanding the experience without ever seeing a real end. Zenimax does not sincerely miss a shot, bringing home the umpteenth strike not without flaws, but the game remains a must buy in the library of fans of the franchise. The vampires acquire new interesting abilities on the RPG front, pity that the rework seems a little incomplete.- The Games Machine

Floodland is a very strong strategic game with solid gameplay mechanics. The world is fascinating to explore and the narrative campaign introduces new layers of complexity. Defects are few and far between with little impact on the overall experience. Kudos to Vile Monarch.- The Games Machine

Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a thoughtful reinterpretation of a historically divisive chapter, finally able to showcase its strengths without being hampered by the structural limitations of the original. The Dragon Engine, the revised pacing, and a deeply refreshed combat system restore dignity to a story that never lost its merit, but which for years remained trapped in an unappealing form. The much-hyped Dark Ties content proves to be more for fans than newcomers, but the overall balance is finally right. Yakuza Kiwami 3 doesn't rewrite the history of the series, but it gives it a much-needed facelift that makes it enjoyable to experience again. And that's exactly what this chapter needed.- The Games Machine

Kirby Star Allies remains faithful to the vision of Sakurai, though it's much easier and very funny at the same time. The journey will be anything but challenging (and there are a couple of interesting extra game modes), but it will be an entertaining one. Definitely recommended for a younger audience, or if you have children.- The Games Machine

While a terrible murder is what sets the events of Martha is Dead in motion, the real focus of the game is Giulia’s psyche and how it was affected by past and present thraumas. LKA’s new adventure might not be suited for everyone due to the brutality of certain scenes, but it is certainly courageous and competent.- The Games Machine

The Switch version of The Escapists 2 is the best way to experience the new title from Mouldy Toof Studios. The game is basically the same as the one already released on PC and console, but it better suits the idea of a "touch and go" approach. There are some small smudges here and there, but the online multiplayer is a real treat.- The Games Machine

From a certain point of view, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond is a remake that doesn't like to take too many risks, improving on the original experience without making any major changes. Yet this is also its greatest strength, especially for those who never played the original chapters on DS. The result is an authentic recreation of a historical title, polished and cleaned up from outdated game design elements.- The Games Machine

The game developed by Rain Games is basically the same, but this time a lot of the bugs of the other versions have been fixed, and that improved the overall experience. In addition, the Switch version is definitely more fitting to the core of the gameplay, best suited to a snatch and grab experience.- The Games Machine
