Capturing intense moment-to-moment racing action, GRID returns with an all-new experience where every race is the chance to choose your own path, create your own story and define your legacy in the motorsport world.

From the creators of the hugely successful DiRT and F1 series, Codemasters invites you to take your place in the GRID World Series and compete in intense wheel-to-wheel racing with the most iconic and desirable race cars -- current and classic, from GT through Touring and Muscle to Stock and Super Modifieds -- and in some of the world's most famous city streets, ovals and circuits.

GRID captures every moment of the race, from the adrenaline rush of lights-out to the elation at the chequered flag -- and in-between, it's all action too. Incidents come one right after the other -- tight overtakes, bumper-to bumper scrapes and competitive collisions -- all heightened by rivalries, team-mates and a nemesis driver who will all either try to help or hinder your progress as you achieve your goal of becoming the GRID World Series champion.

A fitting return to form for the GRiD franchise, especially given the five year gap since Autosport. Doesn’t take itself too seriously, so it’s a title anyone can pick up and play. Would be just as at home in an arcade cabinet as it is in the console under your TV or on your PC.

After five years inside the garage, GRID comes back to the track with a great reboot. It is not as fast as DiRT or F1 reboots, but it offers spectacular races on a few circuits, specially the urban ones.

Once the feel of the grind of the Career Mode begins, the initial appeal starts to wear off even though the varying race experiences try to hide it. The multiplayer experience is seemingly just an afterthought with something that could have had so much potential. But with beautiful visuals and impressive gameplay, fans of the original GRID will find that this modern version will suit them on the track.

GRID focuses on the basics, and that is barebones racing. Don’t expect anything beyond that to keep you motivated.

Grid is a great looking game and features some excellent driving and physics. It's let down by a questionable damage system and boring design. From the games dull menus to no-frills racing, there's just not enough here to separate it from the pack.

Some of the finest simulated driving you can find on PC and console, but with a single-player career mode that’s not as fully fleshed out as you’d expect for the money.

Grid is a visual spectacle, but offers a matt racing experience. You may be even better off with the recent Switch release of five-year-old Grid Motorsport.

Perhaps these dudes missed the point of this game. It is not meant for hyper-realism, nor is it NFS type kiddy racing game. While you certainly need to have a good understanding of driving dynamics, punishment for a small mistake will not be race-ending harsh. The point is to have fun. And the game certainly delivers that, which is most important. Expand

Grid 2019 is practically a reboot of the first Grid game of the series, while it still manages to hold the same tracks from the first game,Grid 2019 is practically a reboot of the first Grid game of the series, while it still manages to hold the same tracks from the first game, there are some things that were changed.
The first thing which you will notice are the cars (modern cars and much more different car classes) and number of events, but some things were removed, like the sponsor's main and bonus objective, demolition derby, drift and touge events.
As you know you have different race disciples in which you have to complete each event in order to get to the showdown event, after that you are given one ticket for the main Grid World Series, after receiving four tickets you gain entry to the Grid World Series which is basically the last event of the game.
The amount of cars available throughout the game isn't really amazing, for a 2019 game there are approximately 70 cars split across 5 main categories. The amount of tracks is even more disappointing, only few real-life race tracks with those city tracks from the previous game. After some time you will quickly notice that you will practically drive on almost the same track with one of their variants and the weather changed.
The name of the events isn't very colorful, you have three different events with the same name in which only thing changed is the location of the events for ex. TC-1 Special Europe, TC-1 Special Asia and TC-1 Special America and many more. One thing which is even more irritating for me is that at the half of the category you already have the opportunity to drive the fastest car of the category which kills the idea of why I want to get to the end of the category. The only events which I enjoyed the most were the invitationals one in which you practically drive different cars almost every other event.
The sponsor's main and bonus objective are turned into race objectives in which you don't earn more money, but this time you earn different accolades and more racing liveries.
Race commentators and race engineer become repetitive after some time and even annoying.
In this game your race team's name doesn't matter, nor the livery you choose, because you will have the opportunity to change it per car, the only thing which matters is your teammate. Teammate role is to earn more money according to its final race position and how much of the final profit he/she wants to keep for himself/herself.
The game graphics are amazing, so far the best I've seen, the physics are impressive too, this game can be fun for both arcade and sim drivers (just one thing to note, there are not many tuning option or better said the tuning options are simplified in order to make it more affordable for beginners).

All in all a great game, great for both arcade and sim racers, amazing graphics and physics, but after some time you will find some things repetitive, the events are pretty straightforward races, not many race types, only races and time attacks. I personally enjoyed playing the game, but at the end I realised how many things could have been added in order to make this game more colorful or better said to give this game a soul.

After playing this game, i have to say that they need to revive the Toca series. Grid 1 the old one, was actually good but anything from that got lazy. Autosport was good but not compared to Toca or Grid 1. Even the amount of achievements were lazy with Grid 2019. The career progress, don't get me started. Now, the good parts. Good graphics good sound, a lot of content, although not too many tracks, and that is it. Too bad, honestly. Expand

    Cons first:
    - only a handful of tracks with a couple variants each; where's Nuerburgring, Spa, Monza, Suzuka, de la Sarthe, Laguna Seca, Monaco?
    - same goes for racing disciplines: barely any open-wheel or A-to-B sprint, no drift or drag, and endurance is there in name only. I'm guessing Codemonsters are holding back for DLC.
    - barebones multiplayer
    - poor performance despite mediocre graphics
    - pointless teammate system, since only your personal results matter.
Just one upside: unexpectedly large number of unlockable cosmetics (car liveries, profile designs, etc.) If this is supposed to be their norm now, I wish we could still buy TOCA Racedriver 3 digitally.

The worst GRID game ever played. Cars are floating on the road. Worse than many other arcade games. worse than the origin of Grid and Grid 2
