Get Even is an excellent psychological thriller, crippled by some uninspired and dull action sequences, and a weak enemy AI. Nonetheless, the plot and the way the story is told make for an excellent experience, one that is definitely worth enjoying.- The Games Machine

Table Top Racing: World Tour is not a bad game per se, but it lacks the "spark" we felt playing classics of the genre like Re-Volt or MicroMachines. There's a lot of content to go through, tons of events and championships to win, but at the same time there's lot of repetitiveness, and the AI-controlled cars can be real jerks. The biggest flaw, however, is the lack of a split-screen multiplayer mode.- The Games Machine

Despite the fact that it contains three great games, Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection feels a bit rushed, and has quite a few technical weaknesses. Also, while the trilogy is still fascinating in its own right, the comparison with the latest entries in the Assassin’s Creed series shows just how much Ubisoft has refined the formula since then, especially when it comes to the combat.- The Games Machine

Chernobylite is an interesting game, full of interesting ideas and with a good amount of content to offer; unless you go straight for the ending, it will entertain you for a good twenty hours. It’s not perfect: the AI isn’t brilliant, the horror atmosphere isn’t quite there, and there’s some repetetiveness. But if you’re looking for something to satiate your hunger for trips in the Exclusion Zone, Chernobylite is a solid choice.- The Games Machine

Showgunner blends real-time action and turn-based combat very carefully, adding nothing to either genre but placing them within a brutal reality show in which surviving is everything that matters. Assigning a bad rating to Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is a dirty job, but someone had to do it. Reduced to the bone content and one of the most feeble rollbacks I've ever seen condemn to insufficiency an extraordinary but outdated game, unable in its current state to offer an online infrastructure that guarantees the development of a healthy community. We hope that the new chapter in such a prestigious series will not suffer from such neglect.- The Games Machine

In Sound Mind is a well-done psychological horror, fun and stimulating from start to finish. At a first glance you might think Vesper is something like Limbo with robots, but it's actually a great puzzle platformer with a bit of stealth. Thanks to the generous amount of checkpoints, it can be played as a casual game, a couple of screen at a time, or trying to beat the best time in a speed run, thanks to the embedded stopwatch allowing you to record and publish your game sessions without further editing. Great graphics and sound, with a gentle difficulty curve balanced by achievements not that easy to unlock. The success of a Total War depends on the delicate balance between the turn-based portion of the game and the real-time strategic battles. As a cinematic experience, Observation can easily be considered one of the highest points of the genre. For a first foray into the RTS genre, Iron Harvest 1920+ is a very good proof of competence. The Outlast Trials is first and foremost an excellent stealth game in which you have to avoid enemies by hiding in the shade, under the bed or inside a wardrobe, being careful not to make any noise. After that it is an extremely brutal survival horror, in which we must carry out heinous acts without becoming victims of crazy psychopaths ready to tear us to pieces in the bloodiest ways. The atmosphere of the prison camps with no way out during the Cold War has been recreated to perfection, and it is easy to identify with the protagonist as he tries to survive, accompanied only by the crazy beating of his heart. Cooperative multiplayer with three other friends completes the offer.- The Games Machine

Coming 27 years after its predecessor, Beyond a Steel Sky inevitably lacks the originality that made Beneath a Steel Sky such an instant classic, and a strong source of inspiration for many games that came later. Union City is now a 3D world, but it’s still filled of clever puzzles and interesting characters, shaped around Cecil and Gibbons’ view of society. It might not be as groundbreaking as the original, but Beyond a Steel Sky is still a good adventure that tries to offer a perspective on our society and how we should try to improve it without leaving anyone behind.- The Games Machine

The concept of this Oculus exclusive stealth VR action is truly intriguing and simulative, capable of justifying the "only" tracing of the head and hands directly with the structure of the game and its environmental context - a bit like it was for Lone Echo in the field of science fiction. Behind enemy lines with a military kayak equipped to silently advance and strike. If played on Rift S, the parallel design for Quest is all too evident, especially in the polygonal complexity, and clearly the variety of the action stops at some point, but the great atmosphere, the good level of challenge, the intelligent writing of the plot and a well thought out length of the storymode (one night in real time) make Phantom Covert Ops a VR title highly recommended.- The Games Machine

Unfinished Business is not a disaster, but neither is it something that will stick in the memory of RoboCop fans. It's a conservative expansion, merely replicating on a smaller scale what worked in the base game, but without adding enough personality to make it an essential purchase. The feel is still the right one thanks to exhilarating action sequences and - why not? - to a few moments of genuine videogame ingenuity, but the flat pace, repetitiveness and bland setting soon dampen enthusiasm. Reigns: The Witcher transforms the series' classic card-and-swipe system into a narrative adventure set in Geralt's world, where every binary choice influences the balance between factions and determines the fate of the run. The gameplay is immediate and surprisingly engaging, creating a rapid, almost hypnotic loop. Galactic Glitch is a twin-stick shooter roguelite in which you control an AI in the form of a spaceship trapped in a corrupted simulation. Nantucket tries to develop a sequel for Moby Dick by Melvill, but the ambition of Picaresque Studio clashes against a weird and not-so-fitting game formula. A little bit too repetitive, with an unbalanced difficulty curve, Nantucket is still a decent game, with some gameplay elements borrowed from board games and RPGs.- The Games Machine

An excellent job of renovation and gameplay modernization for one of the finest horror games of the PlayStation 2 era. Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake takes the original title and brings it into the modern age through targeted gameplay enhancements, new storylines, and top-tier audio-visual production—all of which bode well for the future of the franchise. Minor technical and balance issues persist, but we are confident that these will be largely resolved through post-launch updates.- The Games Machine

SteamWorld Build is a pleasant and exciting gaming adventure, calm and capable of captivating the player on the screen and transporting him to a fascinating world in a masterfully thought out hybrid. Even if more could have been done in terms of plot, the game design, the heart of the work, enriches it with notable nuances and approaches.- The Games Machine

Saints Row: The Third Remastered faces the market as the umpteenth well-built remake, in these last few months, upgrading in a sufficient way all the technical aspects of the original title. Irreverent, reckless, armed with good intentions, the game could be easily recommended, even just for a taste of insanity madness in full swing.- The Games Machine

A sophisticated horror story, with an excellent art direction and the ability to build a constant sense of fear and oppression. The gameplay is pretty basic and not particularly challenging, but it has its good moments.- The Games Machine

Neon Abyss is a solid and hilarious roguelite. Hundreds of weapons and items, however, are not enough to hide procedural generation laziness. But all things considered, it is still one of the best roguelites currently available.- The Games Machine

Dark Souls meets Diablo and spices it up with a bit of Tetris in this original “shifting” action-roguelike that will test both your combat skills and your wits.- The Games Machine

The Last Faith is an exciting and lucid video game, the son of two souls capable of chaining players to the chair and doing nothing else. In this sense, the work focuses on this: to increase a playful depth that incredibly manages to impress fans and beyond. You will never do without this nightmare again.- The Games Machine

Dino Path Trail takes dinosaurs and puts them at the center of a survival roguelike that seems cute and cuddly, but it is not: the Wild West is full of dangers, in Dino Path you die repeatedly between lead and dust. But it is fun, if you plan your moves well.- The Games Machine

A faithful and visually stunning adaptation of Demon Slayer’s latest arcs, but limited content, minor gameplay tweaks, and weak online support make it feel more like an expansion than a true sequel.- The Games Machine

Despite God Wars Future Past looks technically out of time and its plot isn't particularly interesting, is a very good turn-based tactical game that fits perfectly on PS Vita rather than on PS4.- The Games Machine

MotoGP 23 is the qualitative leap that the Milestone series needed. We are not talking about revolutions, it would be unrealistic to think so, but about consistent improvements in all the characteristic aspects of the title, from the simulation verve through an engaging career, from a high-profile technical sector to the physical and mental sensations of the race, where the AI exhibits new behaviors although some issues still persist.- The Games Machine

A pretty standard DLC for the Call of Duty series, but the overall quality is undeniably good. The cherry on top is a great co-op mode that perfectly fulfills the needs of fans of nazi-zombies.- The Games Machine

Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night are both indisputably masterpieces, but the versions included in this collection are direct ports of the original games. On the side of graphic and technical presentation we expected something more.- The Games Machine

White Shadows does nothing to hide his sources of inspiration: Limbo and Inside. A dark and obscure location is the right place to set a dystopian, anthropomorphic future story which can be read as a hermetic social metaphor. Though fascinating, White Shadows does too little to explain to the players where they are or what exactly it is that they’re doing, and its very simple mechanics don’t help. At the same time though, you often feel like you just can’t leave, like when watching a Lynch movie.- The Games Machine

Overall, the work carried out by Stellar Entertainment and Criterion is good but with several flaws. While many parts of the game got a visual upgrade, some of them remained incomprehensibly unchanged. Nonetheless, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is still an excellent arcade racing video game, even after ten years from the launch of the original game.- The Games Machine
