Trinity Trigger is a short RPG, visually beautiful, with a cool proposal, but it is not thrilling. It's a title that can be exciting at first, but it starts to get repetitive and doesn't do enough to keep it going until the end.

Koira wins over with its charming visuals, sensitive soundtrack and the affectionate relationship between the protagonist and his dog, delivering an emotionally warm experience. However, its short length, simplistic puzzles and empty areas compromise immersion and engagement. The lack of a platinum trophy also reduces the incentive to fully explore. In addition, the presence of a possible bug that directly affects the experience may prevent players from seeing the outcome of the journey.

Despite technical issues, Evil West manages to be fun for its exaggerated gameplay and the large amount of combat options. However, don't expect much more than that.

If your nostalgia for the title is high, it might be worth checking out. Otherwise, because of its low difficulty, it's a game recommended for children. The duration, however, will be short in any case.

Combining tension and fun, Midnight Murder Club offers an affordable price and works very well when played with friends, although its lack of content limits long-term interest.

South Park: Snow Day! is recommended to South Park fans as a kind of additional episode, providing good moments of fun. However, it is short and raises questions about the real need for changes to the known formula among its recent games. It doesn't have much impact, but it offers what is necessary to entertain.

With few innovations and no Portuguese localization, RPG Maker WITH seems like an overly timid evolution of what we saw in the previous version. It's fun content, perfectly recommendable for those who enjoyed the main campaign and want more Kao and more challenge, but it won't surprise those who expect the expansion to really reinvent the kangaroo.

Valkyrie Elysium has a very good combat system and a great soundtrack. However, its story is shallow, its campaign is short, and the graphics are bad.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 takes too many risks in its campaign and, even while earning points for innovation, ends up delivering a bizarre and disjointed plot that attempts to blend science fiction with fantasy elements, seasoned with touches of surrealism, paranoia, and cheap horror. While maintaining a solid core in its gameplay models, refining successful aspects and reviving established mechanics, it seems to overuse recycled content, AI-generated elements, and a generic art style that already shows signs of fatigue and exhaustion, making it a game as dense as it is unbalanced.

Wild Dogs can be very fun to those who want to face the classic challenge of run and guns and shoot'em ups from past generations. Four-color pixel art isn't my favorite style, but it didn't bother me when I used the right palettes for me among the dozens available. The fun of exploding pixels in various gameplay styles is certainly worth the price, which makes the game recommendable even for those who are not used to the difficulty level of the genre, an issue that can be solved by using the convenient cheat code to increase lives.

Rage of the Dragons NEO isn't a bad fighting game, and QUByte Interactive's port couldn't have been better. However, the game itself is worth checking out out for the sake of curiosity only.

Its mechanics and aesthetics, however, recycle everything that was already present in previous games, with qualities and defects, which should please long-time fans and put off anyone else.

The Wanderer: Frankenstein's Creature brings a beautiful artistic experience with an excellent sound immersion to tell the story of one of the most famous monsters in fiction, even with a not so good gameplay and too much linearity.

Felix The Cat is an ideal collection that reflects the past and power of Nintendo and its 8-bit games. However, it is limited and would deserve greater attention when delivering its content, adding even more pleasant memories to fans of retro platform games.

qomp2's peculiar movement scheme is, at the same time, the one thing that sets it apart as a puzzle platformer, but also a possible source of frustration. With coherent mechanics, but little varied visuals and a creative potential that is not explored as it could have been, it is a title that will please fans of the genre for as long as it lasts, as long as they don't expect something striking or surprising.

SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos is a game with many problems when it was originally released in the past, but it is still an important piece of SNK and Capcom history. The re-release features quality of life additions such as online with rollback netcode. In the end, however, it is worth more for the curiosity of those who do not know it or for those who want to remember it.

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms Next is a fun beat'em up that suffers from some pacing issues and a lack of combat in its exploration, but delivers an interesting new experience in the most iconic period of Chinese history.

Building on the saga's excellent conclusion in The Final Shape, Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate serves as both a mediocre epilogue and a promising but uncertain reboot. Ultimately, it's less interesting in its own right, both in terms of narrative and the sloppy use of the few new mechanics introduced.

OmegaBot has no big problems and no big highlights. A few more features would be welcome. However, with a good pace and challenging bosses, it fulfills its purpose of being a simple and pleasant adventure for those who like 2D platformers.

Mixing survival systems, food cultivation (and other unusual things), and that essential carnage of worlds taken over by undead, Deadcraft has its technical limitations and does not delve into any of its main aspects, but it manages to balance its elements in a fun and surprising way.

Martha is Dead is a horror game that had everything to hold the player's attention. Although the story is really strong, there is a very slow pace, which ends up causing exhaustion before even halfway through the game.

Remember when you first pitted plants and zombies against each other in the garden? Well, Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted is exactly that same game, with the expected and obvious graphical improvements of a remaster, and a few minor quality-of-life updates that do little to make the game anything more than a reheated version of something that was always amazing.

Hidden Through Time 2: Discovery maintains the series' relaxation and fun. If it were a DLC instead of a standalone game, it would make HTT2 a whole greater than the sum of its parts to build on everything we've seen in Myths & Magic's Architect mode and the community's online creations. As a standalone game, however, it's odd to see the sequence separated into two isolated parts that, even though they are good enough by themselves, they divide forces rather than joining them together.

Heart of the Woods is a perfectly fine visual novel, a good introduction to those that have never played an OELVN. However, it has cliches and a story that is divided between a romance that doesn't seem very believable and a mystery with a predictable outcome, not reaching its full potential and ends up leaving something to be desired.

Wildgate is a fun multiplayer game that has a touch of other titles from the late 2000s and also draws inspiration from more recent ones. With a touch of treasure hunting and capture the flag, Wildgate is a kind of Battle Royale that manages to be fun... except when the player ends up getting stuck in its lengthy matchmaking process.

Caravan SandWitch should be a relaxing game about exploring a planet aboard a van. Instead, the repetitive scenarios and the limitations imposed by a system of collecting components required to progress in the story hinder a considerable part of the experience.

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust is essentially more Forspoken, for better or for worse. Its reduced scope helps in several ways, but the story feels too rushed to fit within the DLC's short length. Still, if you enjoyed the base game, the changes made here will keep the game fun and challenging for you.

Despite some good decisions in its unique elements, Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is a game quite limited by its basic structure, which becomes repetitive very quickly. It's easy to have fun with it, but there are better options available within the franchise.

Sengoku Dynasty is so diverse and bold that it will certainly offer dozens of dense hours of tasks and duties to be completed, but not necessarily with the fun and addictive way that the best games in the genre manage to do. There's no doubt about how grand and diverse the game manages to be even with a modest production scope, but it's the artistic and gameplay details that take away some of the shine it deserves.

Gex Trilogy brings back three moderately sucessful games from decades ago as part of a preservation iniatiative from Limited Run Games. The Carbon Engine introduces new features which make the games a more pleasant experience overall, but the games on their own will hardly appeal to players who don't already have a nostalgic connection to them.

Capes is a good turn-based strategy game that has some interesting ideas, but its unbalanced combat and lack of charismatic characters prevent its story from achieving everything it could be.

Ebenezer and the Invisible World charms with its hand drawn visuals and fantasy narrative. While it's well above the ordinary metroidvania in these two aspects, the same cannot be said about other features. The fights are no more than average, the world design can be discouraging with backtracking and the small fonts can be annoying. Those who like the graphic style, Victorian stories and A Christmas Carol will have a lot to appreciate here, which can compensate for the perception that the gameplay does not stand out in the genre.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Plus delivers a reasonable collection of mysteries, but not on the level that such a competent team could've delivered after so many years developing a new franchise.

Akimbot is undoubtedly a good 3D platformer that honors its biggest and most obvious references, with good world-building, a more-of-the-same narrative and competent mechanics. But it dares little and hardly risks exploring anything beyond what we've seen before.

Clive 'n' Wrench is a true love letter to the great platform games of the 90's, mixing all that was best in them. Simple, captivating, extremely fun and with an addictive soundtrack, it ends up being a must play for fans of the genre. Even with problems, Clive 'n' Wrench manages to show a lot of potential and, above all, transports us back to the golden age of the genre.

Despite being technically competent, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge fails by playing too safe in certain aspects, leaning too much on its inspirations, and also by not paying attention to simple and basic things expected from the genre. In the end, it delivers an average and unimpressive experience.

In Skate Story, the journey through the Underworld has contrasting highs and lows: the many segments of intense speed, psychedelic scenarios, contagious music, and surreal poetic narrative are interrupted by alternating moments of monotonous exploration, banal eccentric comedy, and the frequent disruption of the flow due to any little stumble by the fragile glass skater.

Even though it maintains some of the original's inconsistencies, Amerzone - The Explorer's Legacy proves to be a remake that knows how to appropriate updated aesthetic and gameplay concepts very well without losing the essence of an old-school point-and-click experience, valuing its great investigative narrative that certainly deserves a new chance to shine.

OTXO is a fun game and the roguelike mix generates enormous replayability, but at the cost of the polish previously seen in its inspirations.

Without any significant innovations, additions, or improvements that go beyond the norm, Fighting Force Collection carries with it, without compromise, the qualities, such as setting, simplicity, and objectivity of the purest digital beat 'em up; and the limitations of its time, visually and mechanically speaking, which will certainly bring a nostalgic smile to older players, but will hardly seduce subsequent generations.

Baby Steps is a unique, yet somewhat divisive experience. Its sarcastic humor, awkward controls, and experimental approach will appeal to those who enjoy unusual challenges and don't mind getting angry to overcome them. For everyone else, the game may simply be frustrating.

Madden NFL 23 does some things right and delivers a good experience on the field. However, it is marked by problematic game modes and a number of bugs and technical issues that playing it is frustrating and disappointing, even for the most passionate fan of the sport.

Headbangers: Rhythm Royale combines the genres of rhythm games with Battle Royale in a very fun proposal. Unfortunately, its content is all focused on online multiplayer, without any option to play locally with friends. The minigames are fun, with a few caveats for a couple that are a little confusing. Future updates will be essential to maintain a good pace in the title, as it will not be sustained for long with current content and cosmetic updates alone.

Vibrant and silly, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Patrick Star Game is unpretentious and sometimes sloppy, but it embraces the innocent chaos of a character as beloved as the franchise's protagonist. The title gives players the freedom to make a truly reckless mess around Bikini Bottom, especially if they're a creative kid.

Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition celebrates the past with some extras and details from the franchise's history, but forgets to polish the present, delivering a simple and flawed package in its execution, far short of the celebration Rayman really deserves.

Disco Simulator delivers the logistics of a night out with vibrant colors, but stumbles on the controls and forgets that a good party needs more than just three songs on loop.

Petit Island is the delightful adventure of a loyal granddaughter visiting the land of her grandfather's youth, in a story of memories, family relationships, and caring for the elderly. The visuals are lovely and the island is well-designed, but the sequential missions and persistent goal markers detract from the sense of freedom and discovery that the cozy open world could have offered.

JDM was a pleasant surprise and centered its gameplay experience on Japanese car culture. The game has its quirks given that it's produced by a small team, but it's also a better package than the simple sum of its parts. Ultimately, JDM presents a charm and structure that I feel is sorely lacking in current racing games.

Aware of its disdain for narrative, Bloodhound is everything that fans of a good boomer shooter could hope for, but it doesn't go much further than that. With some constraints and controversial design choices, the game feels like it hasn't reached its peak, which doesn't override the solidity of its extremely objective mechanics.

ARK: Survival Ascend is the feeling of the familiar, wrapped in improvements. The implementations added to the game significantly improve the gameplay experience, in addition to a wide range of content that has been added for the console version. It's the chance for old and new players to immerse themselves in a challenging, unique survival experience whose potential can be seen to be in constant progression.

Fun and focused on fast action, Speedollama delivers what it proposes in a non-compromising way, even if it lacks improvements in some aspects and also an almost obligatory cooperative for the genre.

Cats and Seek: Dino Park is another game about finding cats hidden in large illustrations. That's enough to know that the game offers casual, calm and enjoyable fun, recommended for anyone who wants to spend some relaxing time looking for cute hidden animals.

Knight vs Giant: The Broken Excalibur is fun, engaging, has an impressive variety of abilities, and is accessible to players new to roguelikes. With an interesting story, it will provide moments full of action, without making the experience too challenging and frustrating.

Despite any nostalgia factor, Metal Slug Tactics fails to reach its full potential as a tactical game, mainly due to its performance issues and crashes. Being just "more of the same", the roguelite mechanics even offer more replayability, but with little variation in enemies and missions, it becomes just an ordinary and forgettable title for the genre.

By offering a bold approach to its chosen theme, Hotel Barcelona is unlike anything that came before, even if it doesn't reinvent the wheel in any of its most important aspects. It's violent, it's cruel, it's graphically stunning, and it reflects delightfully disturbed minds like few other games today. All of this would be incredible, were it not for the combat system and technical performance, both of which are less than ideal.

WrestleQuest is a fun tribute to one of the most important eras of wrestling. Its narrative and combat have good ideas and fun execution, yet it fails to reach a higher level thanks to some frustrating design choices that make the game excessively repetitive.

Failing to be consistent from start to finish and having gameplay issues from time to time, Midnight Fight Express is an action game with good combat totally removed from any possible logic and sanity.

Despite its unique setting, excellent soundtrack, and original ideas, Morsels loses much of its fun by explaining almost nothing about its mechanics and excessively punishing players who insist on trying to understand them.

Synapse is a roguelite shooter with an interesting idea, but without much depth. With the aim of repeating the areas to become stronger and more agile, in addition to a simple plot, Synapse is worth checking out for its fun gameplay and nothing more.

Outward: Definitive Edition is the only version recommended right now for those wanting to experience the game for the first time. The lack of technical improvements and prominent additions end up making the game unattractive to previous players.

Grandia HD Collection needs to be seen from two perspectives. As a game, it features two excellent and charismatic adventures with one of the best turn-based combat systems in JRPGs, highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the style. However, as a collection to relaunch old games, only the bare minimum was done, without extras or quality of life improvements. Even with the important step of bringing the games to more current platforms, these versions have technical flaws and are far from being definitive.

Ready, Steady, Ship! is a good entry into the puzzle and couch co-op genres. For those who enjoy a good challenge and have the patience to deal with the somewhat clunky controls and a little frustration, the game can offer a rewarding and fun experience at the end of its long stages.
