Saros shines in precisely the areas where Returnal already excelled. Unfortunately, however, its gameplay suffers from the same issues as the original. It's really trying to be as brilliant and engaging as Sands of Time - but it does not succeed. Forgotten Sands is just a good, solid action-adventure with lots of fun moments, especially when it comes to acrobatics. But the combat feels blunt and the story is downright uninspired. Still, if you like the series, you should definitely give a try.

With Tropico 6, Limbic Entertainment created a worthy successor to their franchise. As expected, the game is drenched with black comedy and – with a little help of the Unreal 4 Engine – even manages to shine in the graphics-department. Though there are some gripes to have with the game: Whilst the mechanic of stealing various Wonders of the World does pose a nice addition, features like customizing palaces, election campaign speeches, transport logistics and the military component feel lacking. Nonetheless, with its 15 story-missions, Tropico 6 will probably keep you entertained for many days.

I love the blackout mode of Black Ops 4, because the balancing is already right for the release, the technology works well and the map is almost perfect. In addition, I've hadn't so much fun with a Call of Duty multiplayer mode since Modern Warfare 2, and the zombie fights are really entertaining - for me Black Ops 4 is the best Call of Duty in years. The story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare knows how to convince. The creators of Infinity Ward present here a special shooter experience that is somewhat different from the typical formula of the Activision shoot-out. The wacky Michael Bay action has been brought down a bit, but in return the title now tells a story that breaks social taboos and blurs the boundaries between good and evil. This more serious approach pleases, but unfortunately it wasn't thought to the end. A more critical or reflective approach to the topic of war would have been the premise. But that remains - apart from the somewhat scarce game size and the compulsory online connection - the only point of criticism. The co-op- and multiplayer-mode offer more reason to complain. The special unit missions seem somehow half-baked and lack announced features. The multiplayer battles suffer from the partly confusing maps, which seem to reward a passive way of playing. This clouds the overall impression a bit, even if the title can otherwise fully convince in terms of gameplay.

The only pity is that it really doesn't have much to offer. The story is really good, but apart from that Lost Ember offers quite little. Unfortunately, the found objects are hardly motivating.
