I’ve said it on the podcast a few times, I love Fae Farm. Having the 4-player coop is truly icing on the cake as these games are so much more fun with friends, being able to divide and conquer to accomplish tasks is the preferred way to play these cozy games for me. Fae Farm has managed to breach my top 10 list for 2023 which any REAL gamer knows is just an absolutely bananas year for the medium. Not every game has to have realistic graphics, all-star voice casting or even an animal mascot and I think Fae Farm proves that in a year of bangers just being a fun, smart, cozy game can be enough to stand out.

Fae Farm is a low-stakes, inclusive, and supremely cozy farming sim that delivers some uniquely interconnected features in a neat and accessible way. It's a narratively charged, explorative experience, and a shining example of devs having learned from the mistakes of other farming sims.

Fae Farm is probably some of the most fun I've had with a life simulator once I accepted it for what it was. If socialising and role-playing is very important to you in a game, maybe skip this one!

Cozy, dynamic, and fun, Fae Farm is well worth the many hours you’ll spend in Azoria.

Fae Farm is still an enjoyable farming sim where you can easily lose track of time, spending hours crafting items, petting animals, and spelunking in dungeons. The kid-friendly tone of the game makes it easy to recommend for all audiences, though the NPCs and thereby the town of Azoria lack depth. The main quests are more interested in having you explore dungeons than actual farming, and the game has more than several areas that need improvement. Still, despite its flaws, Fae Farm fits cozily among the rest of its farming brethren.

When playing Fae Farm solo, it's a fun story in a cute world filled with magic and connections. There are a lot of moving parts, but I think they do a good job of easing into them. It does leave a little desire for more clothing and hair customizations and playing multiplayer means starting a whole new world. But overall, it was definitely worth playing and something I'll pick up again.

Fae Farm is an incredibly cute cosy game that makes for a great title to play alone, and while we didn’t have the opportunity to play multiplayer, we’d wager it’s even better when exploring with others, too. From farming to cooking, decorating, getting to know and build relationships with NPCs, and a beautiful art style that gives Fae Farm plenty of individuality, there’s likely something here for everyone. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel and some activities like fishing and navigating dungeons can feel a bit of a slog, this is one cosy game that knows what it’s trying to achieve and something fans of the genre should absolutely check out.

There is nearly nothing good in this game: gameplay is horribly slow, soft and boring, level design is inexistant, NPC interactions are bad, without any emotions and they even are recycled between them, art style is absolutely disgusting (even if it was on a mobile device) AND the game isn't even beautiful. Exploration is just a farm pretext, all activities are just point and click (shout out to fishing, the worst of all farm sims out there...)...

The only good point is the music, composed by Cris Velasco. And it's not his best work by REALLY far.

This game is the perfect example of how much Garena can destroy a video game studio, Phoenix Labs totally failed this game.
For 40$, you can easily buy Stardew Valley, Forager AND the two "My Time At" games.
