Are you looking for a platform game that is both colorful and original? Then Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series is probably for you! On this compilation which brings together the first two opuses of the Klonoa series, Bandai Namco and the Monkey Craft studio deliver a solid redesign work, especially notable on the founding part. Despite a simple technique, the levels are colorful and very enjoyable to navigate. Of course, the level design remains that of a title from the end of 1990 and the beginning of 2000, which is felt in particular on Klonoa 1. Despite everything, the epic is enchanting and finds its climax during the second episode. In short, a nice nostalgic parenthesis!- Jeuxvideo.com

Although it is a nice homage to the first adventures of the hedgehog, Sonic Origins could have deserved a better finish. Overall, this compilation is correct, but the options offered are not enough to make up for certain shortcomings. Despite a really successful dressing with its cartoons and colorful interface, SEGA's game constantly oscillates between good and bad. We're having a good time, but for Sonic's 30th anniversary, we were right to expect more games and surprises. Especially at a price of forty euros.- Jeuxvideo.com

Tour de France 2022 is certainly a good sports title in terms of live cycling management, but especially for fans of cyclists who are new to the license. Regulars will understand with disappointment that the new title offers few new features, such as the addition of online multiplayer to compare your score with other players or the Milan San Remo race (called Primavera Classic). For the rest, TDF 2022 keeps the same quality in the animation of the races, the consistency of the results for certain really engaging game phases, even more so if we are in FPS view. A good entertainment in parallel with the real Tour de France with almost all the real names for the riders and teams, while impatiently awaiting a redesign of the title?- Jeuxvideo.com

The Holy Grail sold by the MDHR studio could have passed for a simple gold-plated cup if its finishes had not reached the legendary level we expected. Thanks to the sophisticated Ms Chalice and the new gang of deranged bosses, Cuphead and Mugman have very good arguments to plunge us back into their animated destiny. While its low price softens any grievances, we would have liked a more content-rich experience, especially after so many years of waiting. If it does not turn water into wine, The Delicious Last Course is a drink with a strong taste to be enjoyed with every sip.- Jeuxvideo.com

In the end it is difficult to judge an extension on Monster Hunter since it is not yet in final version. Several updates are already planned for the coming months with additions of monsters, quests and special events. In the state Monster Hunter Sunbreak sublimates everything that has been proposed by Rise without revolutionizing the formula. We regret the absence of a mode equivalent to the Fief of Iceborn for players wanting to persist at the end of the game, but it is clear that the extension proposed by Capcom is solid, rather well stocked and very clean technically, whether on Nintendo Switch or PC. A must for fans of the genre and a title not to be missed this summer.- Jeuxvideo.com

With a second rolling start on PS5 and Xbox Series X, F1 22 has put some oil in its engine. A little more animation during the celebrations and on the track with the arrival of the safety car in the race, the addition of events with Supercars to drive and drops in FPS during less significant cutscenes than in 2021, the standing of the latest generation of consoles is finally respected. Codemasters has succeeded in making this new title a reference for multiplayer games with the adjustment to the new rules, the addition of sprint races and a new pit entry system. We will just grumble about the too superficial F1 Life space and the lack of inspiration on the content, but F1 22 is well worth it for new motorsport fans and multiplayer enthusiasts.- Jeuxvideo.com

Overall, Capcom Fighting Collection is a decent compilation. With its various bonuses, options and new modes, it appears to be an ideal companion for lovers of 2D fighting games. On the other hand, some choices (Cyberbots, Red Earth) can challenge and the Darkstalkers saga represents half of the titles available! A daring bet that will not please everyone, but we must recognize that the Street Fighter trilogy, with the anniversary edition, the Super Gem Fighter and the Puzzle Fighter II Turbo, is worth the detour. Depending on how attached you are to the ten games in this compilation, this one will have a more or less pronounced interest.- Jeuxvideo.com

As you will have understood, with the Nintendo Switch version and this move to free-to-play, Fall Guys is in perfect continuity with what it has always offered: a pleasant and fun game, which is now possible to take everywhere with you. A new era that makes it even more mainstream than in the past, especially with the arrival of cross-platform and cross-progression. With that in mind, Fall Guys' new business model isn't intrusive at all, with real-money purchases being for cosmetic items only. What to enjoy without worrying about the levels already added and those that are coming. We just regret a slightly disappointing Switch version. In short, this is the perfect opportunity to launch the crazy races of Fall Guys.- Jeuxvideo.com

Despite these qualities, Three Hopes is nonetheless a Musô with inherent flaws in this kind of game, such as a certain repetitiveness in the gameplay which will put some people off. As for the technique, if the graphics are simple, the framerate manages to remain stable as a whole, even if it happens to have slowdowns. A pleasant return to Fódlan in itself.- Jeuxvideo.com

It would be a lie to say that The Sims 4: Werewolves revolutionizes the gaming experience, but for a simple game pack it is surprisingly interesting. On many points, it is of course reminiscent of The Sims 4: Vampires and even offers more individual and group mechanics. As such, The Sims 4: Werewolves is not just another pack, but a good addition that will allow you to explore many new branches and customize your Sims and their stories even more. If there were not a few balancing concerns and global weariness for all kinds of packs, the Sims 4: Wolves-Garous would have won the title of best game pack.- Jeuxvideo.com

This hybrid version of the adventures of Tanjiro and the demon slayers provides the essentials in terms of gameplay, content and performance. The title of Sega, Aniplex and CyberConnect2 even allows itself the luxury of aligning a complete roster of Day One fighters. Shredder's Revenge was expected at the turn and it never disappoints. A love letter to the beat'em up (understand action game against several opponents) of the 16-bit generation (Super Nintendo, Mega Drive...), it pays homage to Turtles in Time by relying on a gameplay of exception and a simply masterful achievement. Beautiful, colorful, well animated and accompanied by catchy music, the title of Tribute Games multiplies the nods to the franchise and will delight all those who despaired of rediscovering the sensations of yesteryear. Yes, some aspects of the game are classic, but the adventure is so exhilarating and dynamic that we want more! Unquestionably the best Ninja Turtles game since Turtles in Time. Despite the incendiary feedback from some of the fans, we have to admit that we had a pretty good time with Diablo Immortal. Far from being original, the Blizzard/NetEase Hack'n Slash is pleasant to handle with touch or pad. In addition, the main adventure is fun to navigate, especially for newcomers. However, the post-level 30 progression based on level-locked missions is disconcerting, even if this mechanism would be used by other free-to-play. It is especially the excessive monetization, both ubiquitous and obscure, which greatly moderates our enthusiasm, although usual for a NetEase game. Nevertheless, Diablo Immortal remains fun for casual players who don't aim to become unbeatable warriors in PvP. Passed a course, the attractive adventure turns into a hardcore F2P MMO nightmare. Ultimately, these are two very different types of players who are invited to meet on the lands of Sanctuary. For better (action-RPG on mobile) and for worse (for monetization).- Jeuxvideo.com

Magnificent tribute to the saga that inspired it, Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that surprises with its constant dynamism and frenetic action very well staged. Unfortunately, the software quickly turns in circles. A production that primarily targets fans of the genre and the cinematographic creations of Sam Raimi.- Jeuxvideo.com

If the teeming universe of Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong is a tedious entry for newcomers, it does not become less exciting once mastered. Fans of the Big Bad Wolf studio will probably be delighted by the formula "The Council way World of Darkness"; Mean by that a system of dialogues of choice revisited by the controlled addition of RPG mechanics. By offering a realistic look at war by positioning yourself at the head of a group of civilians trying to survive, This War of Mine offers a different approach to survival games but does not avoid some pitfalls. Admittedly, the game mechanics are always the same and can quickly tire you. In addition, certain aesthetic choices somewhat taint the visibility of the infiltration phases and the writing is sometimes clumsy. But it would be criminal not to salute a game which manages to convey a strong message, which knows how to place the player in front of his own conscience at all times without falling into voyeurism or bad taste. A devilishly interesting experience.- Jeuxvideo.com

By offering a realistic look at war by positioning yourself at the head of a group of civilians trying to survive, This War of Mine offers a different approach to survival games but does not avoid some pitfalls. Admittedly, the game mechanics are always the same and can quickly tire you. But it would be criminal not to salute a game which manages to convey a strong message, which knows how to place the player in front of his own conscience at all times without falling into voyeurism or bad taste. Always ingenious, funny and captivating, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is definitely worth lingering over again in 2013's cult experience. Addictive, varied, precise, coherent, relevant, Rogue Legacy 2 serves as the ideal sequel to the cult 2013 game that popularized rogue-lite. But more than doing better on absolutely every level (classes, weapons, traits), the Cellar Door Games studio is setting a new benchmark in the genre thanks to a clever mix of metroidvania and randomly generated levels. It's simple, the whole thing works like hell. Never frustrating, always giving the feeling of moving forward, constantly reviving the pleasure of the game with different powers and heroes to embody, Rogue Legacy 2 returns and marks the rogue-lite with a red iron. One of the best games of 2022.- Jeuxvideo.com

Trek to Yomi is a very beautiful cinematographic work. It doesn't have to pale before the giants who inspired it. Its use of the camera and black and white grain allow it to present us with particularly sumptuous paintings. Add to that some eye-popping fight choreography and you've got a little nugget of artistic mastery. If a game was judged by this, Trek to Yomi would undoubtedly top the charts. But unfortunately, the game is, in comparison, too little pushed in terms of gameplay. Its superfluous choices and its repetitive fights prevent it from expressing his full potential. That said, it is still worth the detour and even more so if you are sensitive to this kind of video game work.- Jeuxvideo.com

Nintendo Switch Sports is probably the new must-have for family gaming. The formula works with all player profiles. The experience is fun and accessible from top to bottom despite the small flaws it can't escape: split screens that make certain actions difficult to read, slight framerate drops, lack of precision and unbalanced sprints in football games. But the fun remains constant and Nintendo Switch Sports serves up a varied sports program that will appeal to the whole family and that we can't wait to see expand in the coming months.- Jeuxvideo.com

It's a small jump that Milestone offers with MotoGP 22. The official simulation of the world motorcycle speed championship is better made than the previous part, but does not manage to take the series to a new level. The fault with a graphic quality in game, with an engine which begins to age without forgetting that the license stagnates in the animations and its career mode. However, the title manages to bring interest with its new "Season Nine" mode retracing the mythical 2009 season, a convincing artificial intelligence and a split screen finally available. The Italian studio limits the damage, the benchmark title for MotoGP will wait.- Jeuxvideo.com

Ministry of Broadcast is a good old-fashioned platformer that deserves to be known. Between the engaging atmosphere and entertaining gameplay phases, it's hard to have a bad time. It is with a smirk that we start Ministry of Broadcast and with questions in our heads that we end this short but intense experience with a worked atmosphere and strong messages. Between mocking humor, sarcasm, morbidity and questioning, but also race, difficulty and puzzle, Ministry of Broadcast has found a perfect balance, with the happy medium as a guideline. But to revolve too much around the just good, the game never excels and imposes itself as a pleasant experience, but without great scope. A game that is worth lingering over, but that lacks a little nothing to become memorable.- Jeuxvideo.com

While the 2021 edition had more than conquered us, the 2022 season of MLB The Show is still a success... but will not bring as much interest. Perfect gateway to baseball games for anyone who loves the sport and knows its rules, the Sony IE title will not make a regular in the saga jump out of his chair, and that's the only big downside: the lack of new game modes. For the rest, the modeling of the greatest bat and ball stars is impeccable, the lifespan striking with a gameplay always accessible to newcomers. But be careful, you still have to know the sport.- Jeuxvideo.com

With this early access, Astral Ascent proves that it has the weapons to carve out a place for itself in the competitive roguelite genre. Thanks to its colorful pixel art graphics, detailed animations and polished soundtrack, the Hibernian Workshop title offers pleasant environments to browse. However, the fights are not left out since the game offers nervous gameplay and many build possibilities that make each run interesting. Despite everything, a few slight flaws overshadow the picture, such as problems with readability or even a lack of logical content for early access. It only remains to wait to see if the new elements added over time will allow the title to appeal to players in the long term. [Early Access Score = 75]- Jeuxvideo.com

This Switch version of Gal Gun: Double Peace inevitably disappoints with its lack of new features. Six years after the European release of the PlayStation 4 edition, the only argument of this port is based on the integration of the costumes that were offered at the time in DLC. That being said, the creation of Inti Creates remains this wacky, sometimes embarrassing, often funny video-lubric rail shooter, which is sure to appeal to fans of Japanese oddities.- Jeuxvideo.com

Thanks to careful porting, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim on Switch is a great way to (re)discover this Japanese sci-fi nugget, whether in TV mode or on the go. With its amazing proposal halfway between the visual novel and the tactical role-playing game, Vanillaware manages to tell an exciting story through its many branches and its original progression system. Beyond its narration, the game does not forget to stage strategically rich and relaxing battles despite austere graphics, far from the beauty of the hand-drawn visuals of the adventure mode. A title not to be missed therefore for all lovers of Japanese games and SF, both on PS4 and on Nintendo's hybrid console.- Jeuxvideo.com

Andro Dunos 2 does what it is asked to do: restore the arcade pleasure of the old-school shmup while making some concessions to modernity. Very short, but frenetic, difficult, but configurable, varied, the title of PixelHeart will undoubtedly leave on the floor those who are indifferent to the genre, but will undoubtedly delight fans of the franchise as of shoot'em up in general, despite some rather problematic readability issues on Switch.- Jeuxvideo.com

Conan Chop Chop is a friendly rogue lite, which goes beyond the joke by offering a fun universe, lots of weapons to try and above all a fun co-op experience. Rather not recommended for solo play, the title is not without flaws and makes some questionable gameplay choices, but there is still a rather good surprise that has the merit of not taking itself seriously.- Jeuxvideo.com

On paper Beholder 3 had it all. Taking the best of its predecessors, it promised us richer gameplay, even more dilemmas and the return of this very special atmosphere that had once hit the mark. But in practice, things are more complicated. Wanting too much to draw inspiration from its elders, Beholder 3 is struggling to find its own identity. And even if that were the case, the lack of finish is enough to leave many players on the floor. The concept and the atmosphere are certainly interesting, but unfortunately they are not enough to impose this opus as the Great Leader of the Beholders. Note all the same that if you have never got your hands on a Beholder, you can add a good point on this note.- Jeuxvideo.com

Once the adventure is over after eight hours of play, little Quill leaves a big mark in our minds. By integrating new weapons as well as new ways of interacting with both the scenery and the enemies, Moss Book II gains in depth. Although some environments, puzzles and adversaries are redundant, Polyarc's work is a delight. The element of surprise has certainly disappeared, but the intelligence of the design is still there. Long live Book III!- Jeuxvideo.com

If Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition allows a new audience to discover a cult PS1 game in good conditions, the latter could have been better. On the one hand, this remaster benefits from updated graphics, an improved soundtrack but also new accessibility options and exclusive content that makes it interesting both for neophytes and for those who know already the title. But on the other hand, between the lack of a tutorial, perfectible menu ergonomics, but above all a still unstable framerate, this update could have offered a better rendering. It remains to be seen whether patches will correct some of its problems in the future to make the experience even more pleasant.- Jeuxvideo.com
