An excellent visual novel that sublimates the reputation of an anthology license. Yoshio Sakamoto has sharpened his pen to offer better twists, a more generous narrative and a mystery that is always pleasant to follow. The polished visual work, the full dubbing and the overall richness of the artistic direction are only there to refine a high-end narrative experience, barely tarnished by an action plan that is still too classic.

This next-gen edition of FIFA 21 does not have any big surprises in store for its status as a Smart Delivery title. We can of course be delighted with a much finer graphic aspect than its One / PS4 inclination and loading times now non-existent, but all the other “new features” are basically anecdotal. We are now crossing our fingers that FIFA 22 relies on this visual overhaul and disrupts its content for a real transitional episode.

While it sometimes feels its age in terms of gameplay, Famicom Detective Club is nonetheless an excellent Visual Novel. The two proposed surveys are pleasant to follow while the visual rendering impresses. Its sublime artistic direction, mixing the new and the old, is practically worth the detour on its own. With its simple and nervous gameplay, Aragami 2 offers a classic infiltration experience but of formidable efficiency. Add to this the many skills available to players, and the levels can be crossed with great ease for an exhilarating sensation. Unfortunately, the title suffers alongside a lack of variety which gives the feeling of always repeating the same levels over and over despite their large size and barely different objectives. We also regret the change of artistic direction for a result less captivating than in the first part and which reveals a fairly simple technique. Cult video game saga, Metal Gear Solid remains equal to itself and this compilation reminds us of all the qualities of the works of Japanese creator Hideo Kojima. Let it be said, it's a real pleasure to do each episode in chronological order (or not) and to relive some of the most epic moments in video game history (yes, yes, we can say...). But on the other hand, with such a series available, we cannot help but rail against the absence of certain elements (Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes to name but one) and a technique which would have deserved a best treatment. Konami's initiative is not bad in itself, but we keep the bitter feeling that they recovered the HD Collection by dusting it off slightly to create this compilation. After all, these video games will forever remain pure masterpieces and it can be a wonderful opportunity to (re)discover them.

A very, very traditional musô ... but nevertheless successful. Admittedly, its cel-shadding remains an obvious make-up for a dated technique, but it also causes a reinforced Japanese atmosphere and some appreciable graphic effects; Likewise, the repetitiveness of its missions is an obvious black point but is compensated by a diversity of characters and interesting gameplay, and this despite the criticized reduction of its cast.

This Episode 4 is probably the most hard-hitting episod from Life Is Strange 2. A black, dark world is now shiwing in plain sight right before Sean’s eyes and now we’re expecting a very strong finish. Great story-telling.

While being accessible, scaled for all kind of players and open to mobile phones, this new episode of Just Dance doesn't bring enough new things to completely regain player's interest, especially with this economic model.

Never surprising, LEGO The Incredibles is repetitive and the building mechanics are now dusty, to say the least. But there are 8 playable characters and they are all very different, making it a fun game especially in co-op.

Although it is a nice homage to the first adventures of the hedgehog, Sonic Origins could have deserved a better finish. Overall, this compilation is correct, but the options offered are not enough to make up for certain shortcomings. Despite a really successful dressing with its cartoons and colorful interface, SEGA's game constantly oscillates between good and bad. We're having a good time, but for Sonic's 30th anniversary, we were right to expect more games and surprises. Especially at a price of forty euros.

Without being frankly unavoidable, as much because of its rather poor ancillary content as the low contribution of new features that it brings to the original game, Peril on Gorgon nevertheless remains solid in the story it tells.

Without being perfect, Narita Boy offers a pleasant neo-retro ride. Visually sublime, it manages to push the codes inherited from the 80s further than a few games before it.

Despite a repetitive level-design and an obvious lack of a proper scenario, The Sword of Ditto is both lovely to watch and to listen to. Nicely paced and crafted, it’s even better when played in coop.

Rebellion has absorbed its influences well to design a masterful post-apocalyptic adventure in broad strokes. While this survival FPS doesn't revolutionize the genre, it does things seriously. Its main strength lies in its organic approach to missions and its desire to reward exploration. Unfortunately, the survival and combat aspects, which suffer from flawed AI, lag behind the genre's leading lights. Atomfall isn't perfect, far from it, but it's definitely worth a look... especially if you're a fan of this type of offering.

And too bad if the whole thing sometimes lacks interactivity, because the essential is there. We take pleasure in following these budding detectives in their discoveries. Too bad these very successful remakes do not benefit from a French translation despite their prohibitive price.

NBA 2K20 doesn’t go over the edge, it doesn’t bring much novelty to the series. On the other hand, it has better defense and goes a little further as a simulation. But the micro-transactions are too strong with this one.

Outriders does not revolutionize the genre, and does not have the ambition to do so. The title from People Can Fly and Square Enix recites the ranges of the perfect Looter-Shooter while abandoning the Game as a Service dimension inherent in this type of game. It stands out first and foremost with its science-fiction-inspired universe, fantasy and punk movement. The explosiveness of its combat, its extremely well thought-out customization system and this propensity to motivate players with ubiquitous power gain make this Shooter-RPG an outsider to consider. However, the anecdotal scenario, the sketchy staging, the redundancy of the missions and the instability of the game do not allow Outriders to fully assert itself on the Looter-Shooter scene.
