Some scars from the previous opus - physics engine and dated collisions, AI enemies still very strange - come here to temper our enthusiasm somewhat and show all the imperfections of Legion, but it has enough qualities to convince fans of the license to dive back into it again.- Jeuxvideo.com

F1 24 suffers from the syndrome of many annualized sports licenses. The Codemasters developers took a risky gamble by modifying the gameplay of the previous edition which had, in our opinion, found an interesting balance between simulation and arcade. Accessible to everyone and rich in content, F1 24 is a convincing automotive title, but which does not bring major changes except for driving which will not suit everyone. From there, it will really depend on everyone's interest in this franchise, but the need for renewal is becoming glaring.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Soulstice, the developers at Reply Game Studios have probably created their most ambitious game. Nervous beat'em up set in a universe reminiscent of the Claymore manga, it plays on the duality of force fields (evocation, banishment) and a mix of exploration, puzzles and action for lovers of the genre. Unfortunately, the lack of means is felt over the length and we very often complain about a badly adjusted camera and obvious technical problems (slowdowns, excessive copy-paste, textures from another time, etc.). Not to mention this permanent juggling at the level of the side keys of the controller. In the end, Soulstice is a game far from being uninteresting, but which is reserved for fans of the genre and amateurs of scoring.- Jeuxvideo.com

Highly anticipated after a Sword / Shield that was a little too shy and Arceus much more daring, but very different, Pokémon Scarlet / Purple clearly advances a license that has always stagnated too much, and takes many paying risks. If we manage to ignore the really disappointing graphics, it's a safe bet that this 9th generation of Pokémon will be a milestone. Game Freak has clearly understood very well how to design an open world with non-linear progression, ideally thought out for a series that needed this much appreciated little facelift. One day, perhaps, the technical aspect will follow and the holders of the most profitable franchise in the world will offer us a real revolution capable of making an impression. In the meantime, we remain on a very satisfying episode which is good for the license.- Jeuxvideo.com

If it hasn't drastically changed its gameplay, WWE 2K22 is almost a reboot in its visual rendering and with the incorporation of the My MG mode. The latter is a good surprise, leads us to manage a stable of stars and a schedule of shows without being too complex, a successful bet. Technically, the latest generation of consoles holds its own and avoids the pitfall of WWE 2K20's many bugs, even if some loading times are long. In short, if this last opus could have been deeper in terms of staging, it delights in its lifespan thanks to an XXL roster, realistic in the animations without being polluted by the less vital virtual currency than in NBA 2K. A spectacular and versatile title, like the cover star Rey Mysterio.- Jeuxvideo.com

"It's a shame" is probably the phrase that will stay in your mind after finishing Battletoads. Because the title advances at the start all the arguments worthy of a varied, crazy and solid game (not to mention the animated cinematics with the writing and the very successful rhythm). But we get disillusioned when the most engaging phases (beat 'em up and shoot' em up) cease to be renewed, and Battletoads tries to save the ship with very small game sequences, sometimes good but sometimes totally failed.- Jeuxvideo.com

Magnificent tribute to the saga that inspired it, Evil Dead: The Game is an asymmetrical multiplayer game that surprises with its constant dynamism and frenetic action very well staged. Unfortunately, the software quickly turns in circles. Once upon a time there was a little hero who, wanting to be appreciated by all, arranged himself in the manner of the lords of his time. Charming as a prince, he invented specialties with eloquence, “a mind as sharp as a fist” he promised. But behind his pleasant features, our adventurer had a hard time hiding his limits. “Stop trying to swell up, or you will die” a lady who saw through his game said to him. If you have never touched the Ninja Gaiden saga, but you like the experiences raised, or if you are a big fan of the license of Koei Tecmo, this Master Collection is for you! Despite the years, the trilogy remains an excellent vintage made up of two wonderful experiences and a spectacular third title. However, keep in mind that this new compilation brings nothing new other than the addition of the sacrosanct 4K / 60fps on PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5, Xbox One X and Xbox Series X and S. Three excellent games therefore, which are unfortunately grouped together in a compilation which is satisfied with the minimum union. Memorable for his beauty and dazzling personality, Harold Halibut can boast of easily recalling the strangeness of Wes Anderson, a comparison that will most likely arise in a myriad of other reviews. The Epic Dreams of our friends the Smurfs does not turn into a nightmare thanks to its attractive visuals, its adapted handling and its game phases that take so little risk that they cannot mechanically sink. Nevertheless, with only four real distinct universes to visit and repetitive challenges that multiply like mushrooms, the Microids title is like its little poisoned heroes: numb. Contra: Operation Galuga finally allows the series to reconnect with its origins to once again become a staple of “run & gun”. Even if its artistic direction spoils part of the experience, we definitely find the original spirit of the franchise. Weapon management has been completely redesigned and the game is now teeming with multiple bonuses and improvements to unlock. The frenzy of Arcade mode playable with 4 players in coop compensates for the lack of readability specific to certain levels as well as the lifespan 100% focused on scoring. Bleach Rebirth of Souls is reminiscent of the cel-shaded fighting games that were all the rage in the early 2000s. While the sometimes redundant and somewhat complex approach to combat may be surprising at first, the game quickly reveals the depth of its content with a roster of 32 characters and a Campaign mode that retraces a large part of the manga. The technical aspect, on the other hand, is behind, and we should therefore not expect a title that meets current visual codes. Trek to Yomi is a very beautiful cinematographic work. It doesn't have to pale before the giants who inspired it. Its use of the camera and black and white grain allow it to present us with particularly sumptuous paintings. Add to that some eye-popping fight choreography and you've got a little nugget of artistic mastery. If a game was judged by this, Trek to Yomi would undoubtedly top the charts. But unfortunately, the game is, in comparison, too little pushed in terms of gameplay. Its superfluous choices and its repetitive fights prevent it from expressing his full potential. By wanting to compete with Genshin Impact, Kuro Games took everything that made the HoYoverse title successful... sometimes even too much. Whether in its structure, its content and even its interface, everything is reminiscent of the king of gacha. However, it tries to stand out on certain points such as its more advanced action gameplay than its rivals, but also its elegant artistic direction which could turn some people over. To regret, however, some unnecessary back and forth and designs that sometimes lack personality, and also technical problems on Switch. But if you want to have a nice adventure with platform and challenge, that's all good.- Jeuxvideo.com

Like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Cozy Grove's leitmotif is to take your time, while taking advantage of breathtaking artistic direction. Its positive attitude and its very chill side will delight fans but are unlikely to change the minds of those who do not appreciate the genre.- Jeuxvideo.com

More than a basic remastered, ZoE: The 2nd runner : M∀RS tries to bring VR to the original game released 15 years ago. Unfortunately, this part isn't well executed. Still, ZoE remains great to play, and the 4K support with HD textures is a plus.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Hong Kong Massacre isn't as interesting as it looked, unfortunately. While gameplay is intense and challenging, the scenario fails to drive us through those very repetitive sequences.- Jeuxvideo.com

Hopefully the development teams are listening to the players, because while it's a highly recommendable game right now, Spellbreak has the potential to become a great one.- Jeuxvideo.com

Action, strategy and role-playing! While being aimed at fans of the animated series, SD Gundam Battle Alliance is probably one of the best gateways to getting started in the Mobile Suit Gundam universe.- Jeuxvideo.com

Hoa asserts itself as a nice little independent parenthesis, at the crossroads between the gameplay of Ori and an artistic direction at studio Ghibli. The latter is also a success in every way, whether in terms of sets, chara design or animation. A colorful dreamlike epic galvanized by Johannes Johansson's musical composition. Unfortunately if the visual is inspired and inspiring, it just lacks a dose of challenge and innovation in the gameplay to make the platform unforgettable. Two elements that can only be found in the conclusion of the work, enough to leave regrets.- Jeuxvideo.com

Breathedge ultimately remains fairly classic in its survival mechanics and does not succeed in everything it undertakes in this area. It turns out to be rather repetitive and unfortunately quite timid in its call for exploration, a shame, given the beauty and originality of its yet attractive universe. In addition, the game also sins with some unfortunate choices regarding inventory management, the resource collection loop or the durability of equipment, too ephemeral. With a shift in tone at the midpoint, which relegates survival to the closet, the Breathedge experience is not always balanced, despite some real good ideas and a story that follows without displeasure, for a little one. about twenty hours.- Jeuxvideo.com

The Bloober Team delivers a psychological and supernatural thriller with multiple controlled influences, and a story that is both dark and touching. The Medium is an artistic work in its own right, both visual and musical, whose universe deserves to be explored. The Polish studio also manage to take advantage of this playful duality between the physical and spiritual planes without necessarily innovating too much during a linear adventure. The threat weighing on Marianne, as intense as it may be at times, loses too often in intensity to permanently mark the players. The Medium is ultimately an “arty” horrific experience like the developers' previous productions.- Jeuxvideo.com

We weren't expecting it, and maybe it's a big spark that lights up in the world of motorcycle simulations. Developed by the Italian studio of RaceWard and published by Nacon, RiMS Racing overshadows Ride with its simulated aspect reserved for purists, even if it tramples on content and technique.- Jeuxvideo.com

Onimusha is still pleasant and fluid to play, showing off those beautiful precalculated backgrounds that we once loved. However, the remastared version suffers from its lack of new content, and doesn't fix some of the problems we faced many years ago.- Jeuxvideo.com

A visual tribute to Mœbius, Sable seduces first of all with its captivating features and colors. He is also granted an exploration rich in great freedom and some gripping mysteries. But the sawtooth technique is terribly lacking on the trip. And the universe lacks a certain consistency, struggling to engage us completely during its long stroll.- Jeuxvideo.com

Those who had tasted the previous remake will be delighted to learn that Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed corrects many shots: the experience is based on a funnier and denser narration, on a rich gameplay and an overall feeling more fluid, more modern. This is obviously due to the original game which, at the time in 2006, had been able to rise a level but the redesign work is also appreciable: the graphic aspect sometimes delivers some nice surprises, despite bugs and problems techniques to highlight. We had a frankly pleasant time and in its finality, this second adventure testifies to a very good mood to be devoured without moderation.- Jeuxvideo.com

If The Invincible stands out for its superb artistic direction and its palpable suspense, it is content to be quite good on other levels. But the immersion is such that it could almost create an illusion. The problem is that it doesn't always stand the test of bugs, details and other gameplay limitations. Despite real potential, The Invincible is therefore far from a Firewatch. But if you like science fiction and exotic adventures, you will be able to be charmed by this experience which remains gripping and which is still worth a look.- Jeuxvideo.com
