If we had to sum up Star Wars Outlaws, it would be in two words: immersion and classic. It's simple, we are facing the most immersive Star Wars video game we have ever seen, with a living and credible universe that perfectly recalls the atmosphere of the original trilogy through a multitude of details. On the other hand, its classic but effective gameplay and open world compensate for their lack of originality with varied game sequences and the density of the activities offered. The result is an experience that looks like a good student, which favors substance over form by showing that it perfectly masters its subject through a structure that does not innovate. One thing is certain, is that Star Wars fans will enjoy this adventure made by fans for fans.- Jeuxvideo.com

Much like the previous title released in 2019, GRID Legends will not revolutionize the history of racing games, but it is still very good arcade entertainment. A high-level atmospheric experience, Under the Waves offers a truly immersive aquatic experience, enhanced by an absolutely memorable soundtrack (which you will undoubtedly want to listen to in your free time) and very convincing French performances. MultiVersus, currently in Beta but already available, enters the ring with a gameplay accessible to all, a bit technical and immediately fun. It provides the show with its five-star cast and colorful artistic direction. The number of characters is still low and the clashes are sometimes rough, yet this does not prevent the title of Player First Games from doing well. The Free to Play economic model could well put off some fighting game aficionados while by being a ready-made gateway for neophytes wishing to discover the genre.- Jeuxvideo.com

Eternal rest definitely doesn't exist when you're a zombie designed in Capcom's labs. As Halloween approaches, the Japanese group brings Frank West back from limbo in a more beautiful, better quality, but slightly cut version of Dead Rising (erotic photos). This Deluxe Remaster edition smooths out the rough edges of a "so 2006" gameplay with heavy hammer blows. The result is enough to make fans salivate, if not turn newbies into fanatics. In any case, Willamette has some nice leftovers that you'll enjoy fighting.- Jeuxvideo.com

Without revolutionizing the genre, Wild Hearts offers a direct approach to the game of hunting. With the mechanics of the Karakuris, the fights take advantage of a strategic dimension thanks to these constructions that are effective both against monsters and to adjust the levels in its own way. Lemnis Gate is a clever and damn well-designed game. Emphasizing tactical choices over pure skill, this original turn-based shooter impresses. Its successful concept mixing FPS and time loops gives rise to refreshing clashes. Too bad some of its content neglects strategy in favor of less interesting direct confrontations. Wearing the three Crysis, renowned for being absolute technological showcases in their time, on a machine like the Switch was a daring bet. And yet, it is clear that Crytek did very well: so certainly, this is the least impressive version among all those offered (by far) but the whole shows an impressive rendering for the machine. from Nintendo and above all perfectly playable. If we prefer to tackle it in nomadic mode to avoid plunging body and soul into textures and a resolution below the average, Crysis Remastered Trilogy is nonetheless a small feat in this case. A successful challenge that we want to envy despite its obvious but mandatory graphic concessions. As for the Crysis themselves, it is clear that a number of mechanisms are now aging: they remain good titles, but never speak of excellence ... With its fan-service and multiple references, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle R is above all dedicated to the community keen on the work of Hirohiko Araki. A pampered remaster of the eponymous title from the PlayStation 3 toy library, it offers an impressive cast and gameplay that is as technical as it is dynamic. If the balance of forces is not optimal (some characters are much more powerful than others), CyberConnect2's game has enough assets to convince fighting enthusiasts. Beautiful, rich in content, varied in what it offers, The Crew Motorfest is a very good 100% arcade open world racing game. Riding on the heels of Forza Horizon, it is currently one of the most successful clones of the genre leader, even if this means that the French studio preferred to take the lead from its British competitor rather than plow its own furrow. The developers at WarioWare seem to have once again gone above and beyond to offer us completely insane mini-challenges in Move It!, to our delight. The title is a pretty medley that is still crazy and delirious, full of crazy ideas, coupled with the fun of motion gaming. This is enough to promise a few sessions of great fun for several people and for all ages. But it is still clear that this episode suffers from certain inequalities between these multi modes, a lack of inventiveness at times and an interest that quickly becomes limited after a few hours of session. The Bloober Team delivers a psychological and supernatural thriller with multiple controlled influences, and a story that is both dark and touching. The Medium is an artistic work in its own right, both visual and musical, whose universe deserves to be explored. The Polish studio also manage to take advantage of this playful duality between the physical and spiritual planes without necessarily innovating too much during a linear adventure. The threat weighing on Marianne, as intense as it may be at times, loses too often in intensity to permanently mark the players. The Medium is ultimately an “arty” horrific experience like the developers' previous productions.- Jeuxvideo.com

Over the course of its expansions, The Elder Scrolls Online continues to deliver what is expected of it ... or almost. With Blackwood, the content available is certainly interesting, especially when you are a fan of Oblivion, but you should not expect more. By choosing to direct it towards new players, Zenimax Online is probably forgetting its hard core a little on the side of a road that is too monotonous. The observation made in 2019 as in 2020 is therefore the same here, and what could be understandable at the time is much less so in 2021 when the competition sometimes competes with ingenuity to surprise us. A first warning shot that must however be weighed in view of the work carried out on the lore, which is still as fascinating as ever.- Jeuxvideo.com

That's it, CI Games and HexWorks finally have the Souls-like they wanted to add to their portfolio. Making a clean slate of the past is never easy, but Lords of the Fallen has definitely risen to this second chance. Yet anchored in a very classic formula which could have been detrimental to it, Lords of the Fallen does not rest on the laurels of others and delivers some interesting ideas which set it apart from the competition. Despite everything, the title still has too many small flaws and frustrations to climb to the top of the rankings. That being said, we are convinced of the potential of the license, even if it will need more effort to assert itself and flourish. This is not quite the case yet, but the second (a sequel?) will perhaps be the good one, as the destiny of the franchise dictates.- Jeuxvideo.com

Tango Gameworks' video game proposal will be a milestone. Without ever reaching perfection, Ghostwire Tokyo marks the spirits. The 1:1 scale reconstruction of the Japanese capital, the exploration of a supernatural and urban open world as well as the ethereal combat system alone are worth the detour. Admittedly, the story is sometimes set back and a certain feeling of repetition appears at the end of the course, but these few flaws are compensated for by the very singularity of the work imagined by Shinji Mikami and his teams. With Sand Land, the late Akira Toriyama lays the last stone of a prestigious building. Enriched with new storylines, this video game adaptation is the ideal extension of the manga and anime. On a playful level, the adventure is far from perfect, but the scenario and the events are faithful to the original work and the progression offers several notable moments. Thanks to its upgrade, Cyberpunk 2077 finally offers a gaming experience on PS5 and Xbox Series at the height of what it should have been at its launch in December 2020. More beautiful, more stable and better optimized than in backward compatibility : those who had waited for the next-gen patch will finally be able to enjoy the adventure in good conditions. But beyond these technical considerations, if patch 1.5 brings some welcome adjustments (more responsive crowd, improved but still perfectible driving and ergonomics...), the title remains globally identical to the PC version despite a less impressive visual rendering. More than a year after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 remains an RPG with a fascinating universe and impeccable writing that remains plagued by immersion-breaking bugs and an artificial intelligence that falls short. Ministry of Broadcast is a good old-fashioned platformer that deserves to be known. Between the engaging atmosphere and entertaining gameplay phases, it's hard to have a bad time. It is with a smirk that we start Ministry of Broadcast and with questions in our heads that we end this short but intense experience with a worked atmosphere and strong messages. Between mocking humor, sarcasm, morbidity and questioning, but also race, difficulty and puzzle, Ministry of Broadcast has found a perfect balance, with the happy medium as a guideline. Dontnod announced to us with Tell Me Why a realistic production devoid of minimalist stereotypes. Promise kept. For almost eight hours, it tells a harsh story, strong in its words, its authentic characters, and its thoughtful dialogues. These are the main strengths of the game. But the player's involvement is too little in this title, which nevertheless outlined attractive possibilities, often under-exploited. ReMatch dreams of being a concentrated action game and an arcade alternative that's both easy to access and challenging. At the start, this is partly the case, and some of its promises are kept: you can feel its potential, the games with friends are wild, and it's hard to put it down. However, Sloclap's title isn't yet up to the task of lasting 90 minutes. Lacking content and fine-tuning, the coming months will need to be dedicated to training if ReMatch has the ambition to lift a major trophy in the world of sports gaming.- Jeuxvideo.com

This game was just lacking some real modern graphics improvements as well as more consistent AI decisions, but ultimately it's still a great episode.- Jeuxvideo.com

Borderlands 2 VR is what we loved in the original game plus the VR gameplay with the hands recognition. It is one of the longer games playable in VR and the only major default is that you cannot play it in coop.- Jeuxvideo.com

Rising from its ashes, Yu Suzuki’s saga is still a legend and this amazing adventure hasn’t aged at all. Still, this port would have required a little more care.- Jeuxvideo.com

Obversation is a weird little game. With little means, it dares jostle the player and has a good balance between its unique gameplay and its sci-fi scenario. A true UFO.- Jeuxvideo.com

Dead Island 2 does not revolutionize the saga or the survival game, but provides the essentials. Dambuster Studios offers fans of zombie survivalism a bloody and sunny journey to the heart of a red-painted City of Angels. Mutilating the emaciated has never been so brutal and the pleasure felt so visceral. This FPS is not perfect, far from it, and suffers from a certain repetitiveness that it tries to erase with undeniable generosity. The Dead Island franchise is well and truly back, a resounding return through the front door.- Jeuxvideo.com

Faithful to its predecessor, Beyond a Steel Sky is a success on consoles. Taking advantage of the 4K resolution and fully dubbed dialogues, this version puts the player in an armchair. More stable and comfortable, the adventure turns out to be pleasant thanks to the impactful writing, colorful characters and a city more surprising than ever. The lack of life is however glaring and may hamper those looking for a spectacular setting.- Jeuxvideo.com

AOT2: Final Battle targets the fans who want to experience again the events from the anime/manga. This expansion adds so many content that it will keep you busy for a long time. But it’s very classic and repetitive.- Jeuxvideo.com

The fun of the platform is obviously intact, Mario remains Mario, but we quickly realize that the concept is not without flaws. The levels repeat and going through the classic 1-1 in a loop due to the capricious random selection and the weird progression is a little tense.- Jeuxvideo.com

Yes, the game lacks readability when there are too many enemies. Yes, its level design sometimes loses the player. But Carrion is a successful game that takes being a monster to the extreme.- Jeuxvideo.com

Generous in terms of fan service, equipped with complementary scripted modes and gameplay ideas that blend well with the style of the original work, Rise of New Champions is a good Captain Tsubasa game, but in some ways it forgets to be a good soccer game.- Jeuxvideo.com

Because we must not lie to each other, opting for an old-fashioned challenge is a real risk-taking for the publisher and such an approach will not suit everyone. It's a real niche game! But qualitatively, Ghosts'n Goblins is a complete success that will only indulge the more daring. We died but we loved it!- Jeuxvideo.com

With its challenging prestige elimination race proposition, Ara: History Untold is a relevant addition to the 4X genre, boasting some really nice detailed models, a very satisfying crafting optimization system, and a rather dense non-linear tech tree. Too bad the diplomacy is so frustrating and the concept shows some limitations after about fifteen hours of play.- Jeuxvideo.com

Cult video game saga, Metal Gear Solid remains equal to itself and this compilation reminds us of all the qualities of the works of Japanese creator Hideo Kojima. Let it be said, it's a real pleasure to do each episode in chronological order (or not) and to relive some of the most epic moments in video game history (yes, yes, we can say...). But on the other hand, with such a series available, we cannot help but rail against the absence of certain elements (Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes to name but one) and a technique which would have deserved a best treatment. Konami's initiative is not bad in itself, but we keep the bitter feeling that they recovered the HD Collection by dusting it off slightly to create this compilation. After all, these video games will forever remain pure masterpieces and it can be a wonderful opportunity to (re)discover them.- Jeuxvideo.com

If Chrono Cross The Radical Dreamers Edition allows a new audience to discover a cult PS1 game in good conditions, the latter could have been better. On the one hand, this remaster benefits from updated graphics, an improved soundtrack but also new accessibility options and exclusive content that makes it interesting both for neophytes and for those who know already the title. But on the other hand, between the lack of a tutorial, perfectible menu ergonomics, but above all a still unstable framerate, this update could have offered a better rendering. It remains to be seen whether patches will correct some of its problems in the future to make the experience even more pleasant.- Jeuxvideo.com
