Jun 7, 2018There are puzzles, but never in a way to stop you on your journey forward. Like the music, there’s a pull or need to keep going. It’s what one might dismiss as art first, game second. Shape of the World is, well, neither. Instead it is a transportive journey that feels like a great ambient electronica album come to life. Brief and wonderful, and something to savour.

Jun 13, 2018Shape of the World won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you’re into exploration/walking sims then this is a must purchase.
-
Jun 7, 2018hape of the World is a beautiful journey that offers a relaxing and well paced experience. Its core function consists of simply exploring its world and taking in its lush surroundings. There’s a few framerate issues to contend with and the lack of activity within certainly wont appeal to everyone. However, if you come into this without any expectations, you’re in for a stunning short journey that seamlessly captivates.
-
Jun 11, 2018The game is worth at least one playthrough to experience the beauty and vibrancy of the colorful, relaxing world. Though without plot or characters, many will find themselves to be disinterested.
-
Jul 23, 2018Sometimes it is difficult to understand the purpose of Shape of the World. The developers wanted to insert a metaphor that can be difficult to understand, making the game long and boring. Its marginal interactivity and its simple puzzles, leave it as a walking simulator. On the visual side, it is very stylish at the beginning but when you take your first steps it loses that magic.
