Despite the graphical glitches, poor collision detection, and frustrating (lack of) integration of the world map, Rise of the Argonauts is simply a good game. Both story and dialogue are well-written, the action is awesome and gory, and the skill-upgrading system is thought out really well.

Little Battlers Experience has a predictable story, but thanks to awesome anime cutscenes it does come to life. It is a lot of fun to customize the minirobots outside and inside. Too bad this game can only be played locally, cause it would have been a great online multiplayer experience.

PlatinumGames combines its successful action-based gameplay with the old cartoon. It will make you nostalgic, but there is no time to stay in the moment as there are a lot of quick and dynamic fights coming your way. The game has some repetition issues and some technical faults, but other than that it is a nice little tribute to Transformers.

WET has some fantastic moments, but is plagued by some annoying deficiencies. It’s really cool to swing through the levels with the well formed Ruby and at the same time shoot some nasty enemies to oblivion. But after a while playing this game, you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again, and the controls aren’t that precise. It’s a fun game you should get when it’s budget priced.

A worthy Assassin's Creed title. Thanks to the three costumes of protagonist Aveline the game has its own character. Unfortunately the game is somewhat spoiled by all the mandatory touch and camera features, which often don't even work. Other weak points, like the stuttering frame rate and the bland story make it that, despite the best intentions, Liberation doesn't quite live up to the stature of its bigger brothers.

This is a good online oriented game with a lot of much loved Final Fantasy characters. There is lots of action and the fighting system is good, but the camera can be annoying sometimes. Plus, if you are not familiar with the FF-franchise, you will have a hard time understanding.

This game offers the same addictive strategy gameplay as its predecessor, but this time the graphics are a lot better and there is a story instead of missions. However, it is a disappointment to discover Ronimo did not include an online multiplayer.

Project X Zone is a decent turn based strategy game, in which the recognizable characters obviously are the most it’s got going for it. That’s also its biggest issue: if you’re not familiar with games such as The Misadventures of Tron Bonne, then many parts of the game aren’t appealing to you anymore, or even not understandable at all. If you do know characters like Hsien-Ko, KOS-MOS and Kurt Irving, this point of critique doesn’t apply to you.

It is fun to play around and experiment with spells; it gives Wonderbook: Book of Spells a charm only to be matched by the Harry Potter universe. It is a shame, however, that the exams you have to take lack creativity and become predictable in time. It degrades an atmosphere that is otherwise magical.

Lost Sphear brings back the Japanese RPG from the golden SNES era by taking Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 6 as an example. That does mean the game is filled with cliches, but you gotta love the nostalgic gameplay.

If you have played this game on Wii U, you will not find too many new things. The addition of new characters however, are awesome if you want to play this game in a competition.

LawBreakers is not an innovative shooter. It has many generic characters, boring surroundings and it borrows a lot of things from other games in the genre. It simply does not feel like a completely new IP.

The militancy that the now independent Bungie shows with Shadowkeep is promising for the future of Destiny 2. The new locations look beautiful as always and although the story of the expansion ends abruptly, Bungie shows that there is a clear vision for the next few years.

The Godfather II is a technically flawed game. Glitches, pop up, framerate drops are quite frequent and the soulless sandbox world isn’t too appealing either. The upside is the strategic element of the game. It’s fun to coordinate attacks on rival families and to take over businesses by using excessive force. All in all it’s great fun if you’re not turned of by the technical issues.

Katamari Forever contains a creative variation of missions in different graphical styles, but brings not a lot of real changes to the game. If you have a Katamari game, you should probably not get Katamari Forever. If you are a Katamari fan or if you never played Katamari, this is the time to get it. But be aware, just a small group of gamers will appreciate this game.

Eagle Flight is an excellent game when it comes to flying and going on an adventure in VR. The story-line though, is so thin, it is a big disappointment. Thankfully there is a very entertaining multiplayer mode to keep the fun coming.

The Last Tinker: City of Colors is a cheerful game, but starts of dreadfully slow, has boring combat and scanty background music. This hurts the atmosphere. Look past these blemishes, and what remains is a colorful game that entertains for quite some hours.

Looking at the gameplay, NBA 2K19 is a very strong basketball simulator, filled with many modes and beautiful graphics. Unfortunately that is not all: there is not enough innovation and old faults are back too. A pity, cause essentially this is a good game.

Metro: Last Light manages to give shape to the world described in the books bearing the same name beautifully. The claustrophobic and grim atmosphere really come into their own thanks to the great graphics. Unfortunately the immersion is often broken by static npc's, a lack of interactivity and the idiotic artificial intelligence doesn't offer much of a challenge.

Order up! offers both variation in gameplay, as well as interesting use of the Wii-Mote. The game is challenging, and thus entertaining for a while. It proves that casual games can be fun, albeit for a certain amount of time.

CyberConnect2 created the ultimate game for fans of the show, with JoJo's Bizarre Adventures: All-Star Battle. With the forty characters and five different fighting styles the game is as extravagant as you might expect. Unfortunately it's also very unbalanced and the story mode disappoints when it comes to appearance. The micro transactions in the campaign are also quite repulsive.

Fifa 20 is all confetti. Pure speed, sensational counter football, and childish dances after a goal predominate. That is not criticism, it's a statement. It is really nice to beat an opponent with a lot of show, but Fifa has not much to do with "real" football this year.

Obviously this game is one big commercial party for the movie, but we must say that this add-on does offer more than just demo-like gameplay. Ignore Ludacris and focus on unlocking eleven new cars, drive online and feel that awesome freedom that comes with driving in Forza Horizon 2.

Hey! Pikmin is very clever when it comes to level design and introducing new Pikmin, but offers too little challenge. Even the boss fights are easy, which is a pity for a game that looks and feels this terrific.

Starlink Battle For Atlas is probably the best way of doing a toys-to-life game, but the game itself is a bit repetitive. Thankfully the fights are spectacular and there are many amazing combo's to make, which kind of saves the game.

It is very fun to go wild with the Wiimote in Virtua Tennis 2009, but there is a lot of room for improvement. The career mode is very boring and the Wii Motion Plus need some fine tuning. The minigames are however very funny and it is entertaining to play with some friends.

There are some cool new features in Rio 2016, for example the costumes in the story mode. The possibilities of 3DS are used as much as possible, which is very fun, especially as the variety in minigames is good. Is it exciting though? Unfortunately not, and there are no online ways of playing, which feels a bit old-fashioned.

ScreamRide is not about a theme park, it is about an experience. A nice game for speed freaks and destroyers, because it feels great to crash your ride into a building. Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon rewards players that look further than just the boring story and slow introduction. As soon as you have freedom, this game is one of the best ones in the franchise. There are more than 700 Pokemon to collect and that is exactly what we want.

This game is a worldwide phenomenon, which says a great deal about how much the fans love Pokémon. The technical issues and the shallow gameplay should have already killed the app, but instead the geocaching and AR make this a social adventure that we will definitely be playing for a long time to come.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order shows that together is better. With more than thirty playable characters, there is a favorite for everyone. You fly through the levels, while keeping everything short and small. The game definitely gives you the feeling of being a superhero offering lots of spectacle on screen.

Sea of Solitude is very symbolic and effective when it comes to translating the concept of loneliness into a video game. Kays adventure offers a few emotional moments, but the platform and puzzle gameplay both make the journey a bit wobbly.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is a complete and total package. But the problem is the multiplayer. It does not feel anew.

Singularity is the kind of shooter we haven't seen in a while, one who doesn't take itself too seriously. The realism of games like Call of Duty or Battlefield: Bad Company is traded in for weird weapons and awesome powers. The TMD makes for some interesting moments, but should have been more elaborate. It's also a shame the game gets far too easy half way through. Still Singularity is a great pastime in these quiet periods.

SimCity has the potential to become a true goliath in the city building-genre, but is still being bogged down by too many problems, like the randomness with which services are exchanged in a region or the idiocy with which working citizens drive to work. That the buildable surface is smaller than in previous installments didn’t bother us that much because there are enough devices that will let players put every bit of space to good use. It would help though, if the intercity cooperation and chaotic traffic would be improved with a patch.

The developer should have called Puzzle Kingdoms Puzzle Quest 1.2. It doesn’t improve much compared to the original, but it is entertaining and that is what it is all about.

Though the story of the Diaz-brothers is still interesting, the action in this second episode is getting slow. The game gets a little bit boring, so hopefully the story and action will pick up big time in the next episode.

Ubisoft tries to create a sense of greatness, but the technical flaws keep this game from really doing so. This is a tremendous let-down, as the tougher fighting system, the extended missions and the co-op multiplayer experience are all great assets to the franchise.

Rat Assassin is a simple game that manages to keep you entertained for a while, but misses the charm and depth of a similar game like Fruit Ninja. It's fun for a while, but never more than that.

Steep is a game that offers an amazing sense of freedom, and even though not every activity is as great as the others, the feeling of skiing and snowboarding in these beautiful environments is a thrill.

Star Fox Zero tries new things while trying to stay true to the franchise. The controls are something to get used to, but you'll get over them. What is difficult to accept, though, is the repetitive nature of the missions and the brevity of the game. Such a pity, because deep inside this was such a good game with awesome air battles.

This original hand drawn puzzle-platformer will not make things easy for you, but the charm is in the challenge. The dynamic magnet mechanics keep the game interesting all the way through. It can be hard to stay motivated, as the tiniest decision can make you fall down many stories, meaning you have to walk back the whole darn way.

Jet Set Radio is still a wonderful, unique game after all these years. Making your own tag and spraying it on walls, while listening to a funky sound track is still special. The controls are somewhat lacking and the framerate isn't always good. But this funky game is still worth a try.

Rogue is very good at connecting multiple Assassin's Creed-games. The battle between the Assassins and the Templars is very well written.

The first steps in this game aren't that special, but as soon as you get a hold of things and you can find a few friends to play with, the mummies from Strange Brigade really come to life.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 has deeper gameplay and an actual single player that really honors Star Wars. Unfortunately loot boxes and a bad progression system prevent this game from really blowing us away.

This has not become the game people were hoping for. The choice to make it a 2.5D sidescroller is a good one, as many of the issues with 3D-games are now a force behind this one. In a way ACC: China is a very entertaining platform game, but the voice-overs are odd and the game asks a lot of patience of you.

It is lovely seeing Nook again, but this Animal Crossing is a disappointment. It is fun to design homes in the upbeat world of Animal Crossing, but there are just no challenges in this game. There is no money system in place, you cannot really collect anything. And customers are always happy with the design.

Everyone with a soft spot for Dragon Ball Z will embrace the video game. It's not the most complete Dragon Ball game ever, but it does feature all the big characters and storylines you'll remember of the Z universe. The camera is very sloppy and will cause quite a bit of frustration, the music is pretty annoying and last but not least: the game hardly does anything new (again!). Although Dragon Ball: Raging Blast isn't great, it still is entertaining enough to ensure many hours of fun.

Rooms: The Main Building is a great puzzle game in an ugly coating. The puzzles are well put together and stay fresh because of the constant stream of new elements. It's too bad that the unclear images, ugly colours and downright annoying music takes away some of the fun.

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades packs a very strong line-up of both modern and classic rock bands and artists, and the possibility of exchanging songs with every other Guitar Hero-fan is great addition. The Guitar Grip is still far from perfect though, and the poor sound quality when playing without earphones hasn’t improved one bit, explaining the lower score of Decades compared to its predecessor.

The still brilliant fighting system and the structure of Jericho City make The Surge 2 a nice soul-like and definitely a better game than the original. However, the game is a disappointment in terms of story and variation in environments and enemies.

Because of its lacking controls Vice City isn't as good as it was ten years ago. Which is a shame as Vice City has no equal when it comes to style and atmosphere.

The Secret World makes a few big mistakes in important areas; the fighting system lacks depth, PvP bonuses bring unbalance to the server and the skill and ability system isn't always easy to understand. Yet the story, investigation quest and the atmosphere of the world make this MMO worth a try.

It might seem that Battleforge is a terrible game, but just to make it clear: when you hear the term 'card based MMORTS' you instantly get sparkling eyes out of curiosity. It's then somewhat of disappointment when you find out that it's just a simple RTS in which you can needlessly fiddle around with cards that don't differ much from each other.

The 3DS version of Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King is a simple way of playing this amazing jrpg classic, but it is not as good as the original.

The Amazing Spider-Man never reaches its full potential. The missions are repetitive and the combat system is not as fluent as in Arkham City. The web slinging in Manhattan makes up for a whole lot, but The Amazing Spider-Man never really amazes.

The time you’ll put into finishing the sixteen mini-games, will be a somewhat precarious experience. Sometimes you’ll have a lot of fun with the intelligent concepts, other times you’ll have to wade through the muck and will get annoyed by the simplistic and monotonous mini-games. You will push through it though, because the unlockables give this collection of mini-games just a little bit more to play for, than you might’ve expected in the first place.

An homage to the well-known and groundbreaking shooter franchise. The excellent lighting, the atmosphere and the great use of sound are, like in the old days, top-notch. The other parts of the game have all been improved by other games by now. Doom 3 is an aged game, but still an awesome one.

Sacred Citadel is a sound beat 'm up with RPG elements. The game looks a lot like Castle Crashers but offers just a little bit more moves and variation with different playable classes. It's just a shame that your character will get overpowered later on, and the game loses all of its challenge.

When you look at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, you can’t say it is a bad game. However, it is a big rip-off from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. That last game brings a lot more variation and is more fun to play. The setting of TMNT: Smash-Up is a bit boring and there aren’t a lot of characters in the game. But in the end, the gameplay is okay and that is why in the end the game deserves a 68.

This game is exactly what you'd expect: an hommage to the Nintendo DS classic with a few new features. Most of it is still great, but the infrared is technically lacking.

Had they put a little more money, time and attention into ReCore, there could have been an awesome game here. Unfortunately only the gameplay is okay, the rest of it is just meh.

Doki-Doki Universe is unexpectedly confronting. With short psychological tests it gets you thinking about the nature of humanity. As a game it doesn't score as well though. The pace is simply too low and the puzzles aren't very challenging.

Let’s Go to the City recycles so much from earlier games in the series, it’s hardly worth calling it a new game. This shouldn’t be a problem for first time-players, but fans of the Animal Crossing-series can easily pop in their old disc for a flashback to 2004. The only thing they’ll miss is the addition of Wii Speak, which even comes at a price.

Although AoC: F isn’t the most innovative game on the Wii this winter, but it surely is a very charming experience which will especially appeal to a younger audience.

The huge DLC library does not have a great setup and the compatibility list for controllers does not work perfectly either. It takes so long to get started, and even though playing is still a great experience, all the stuff around it is simply too distracting. Especially because the game does not have a strong online multiplayer or interesting visuals.

Contrary to other Lego-games, the emphasis isn’t put on collecting Lego-nobs and building and wrecking Lego-constructions, but more on fighting, driving and completing missions. Too bad that the game looks just a little bit too good. Now, frame drops and long load-times disrupt this ultimate kids-dream.

Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel is a simple shooter that's made to play with a friend. You'll compose your own weapons, converse about tactics and do this for eight hours or so until you've finished the campaign. It's a wonderful co-op game that falls short, mostly due to the annoying variation between dumb action and emotional moments. The lack of polish and modes make this a game that is truly only fit for those who only play co-op games.

BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea Episode 1 is an excellent expansion in its fundamentals. It offers a new location, a completely new story and new things to discover. Especially returning to Rapture is e pleasant experience. But then, after ninety minutes, your presented with an ending.

Sam & Max: Season One is a game that, from a technological perspective, just won’t do anymore. The game falters, wavers, stutters, and even crashes on occasions. It’s easy to overlook those shortcomings though, because some of the episodes are hands down hilarious, the puzzles are fun, and the game packs a large cast of comical characters. Nostalgia’s just around the corner, because Sam & Max remind once again us of the good old days.

Techland proves with Dying Light that the zombie genre has potential to grow. The parkour system works great, the setting is fresh and killing undead is always good. On the other hand there are cliches, boring missions and stolen inspiration, which are keeping this game from really getting good grades.
