Expectations were high for Prototype. Based on what we saw before the release this was logical. In the end, the game turned out to be pretty good, but nowhere near what we expected. The developer did a good thing with respect to the awesome action, the superb superpowers and the chaos in New York, but failed to deliver a decent story. Also, we’re disappointed with the amount of variation in the game.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch might just be the funniest game of the year. It’s not just the idiotic premise, but also the as insane gameplay with controls that don’t really give you control of anything. Octodad frustrates in the end with some sneaking elements, but by then you’ll have messed around, tripped and spilled so much, that Octodad is without a doubt father of the year.

With over twenty mini games Smart As offers quite some diversity. Daily training in combination with the Smart As world is a good reason to squeeze the most out of your brain for fifteen minutes a day. Unfortunately the game doesn't always registers your input correctly, the augmented reality games don't work and the voice over is terrible. It makes Smart As a passable game, though not cum laude.

Saints Row 4 is a bizarre open world game that never takes itself serious. The game has strong dialogue, a great soundtrack and the open world gameplay offers a lot of creativity and freedom. Angry Birds Star Wars offers enough enjoyment, you don't even need to be a Star Wars fan. Rovio proves it has more than enough ideas; which can be seen in the refined design of the birds and the levels. The birds make the gameplay more action-oriented and the levels demand more finesse. It is too bad you race through the levels at light speed, and are forced to pay more some extra.

Urban Style Freestyle isn’t just a cosmetic trip to the urban environments. It adds a whole new dimension to the addicting gameplay with the added Stunt Mode. Unfortunately the impact of this addition isn’t as big as you’d expect. Because of the lower difficulty and the low amount of levels the game can be finished in under four hours, completely. Even the track editor can’t change that.

It isn't the great port that it should have been, but the entertaining single player and the at least as much fun Raid-mode do make up for this partly. Fans of the series will find the game a tad disappointing due to the worthless story and the - in comparison to the other games in the series - way too easy fights. Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time's biggest upside is obviously the amount of variety. You'll never do the same thing for long, because before you know it, you're controlling another character in a new environment. Because of this, Sly is a platformer with a very high pace, but the lack of challenge will also make you go through faster than you might expect. It takes six hours for God of War: Ascension to get going, which is a long time. Fortunately the spectacular final set piece manages to save the game. Because of this crooked balance, and a long line of minor mistakes, this is the lesser of the God of War games currently available. It feels like the typical God of War-formula was saved for the multiplayer, which is surprisingly fun. The combat system is well balanced and every map has a typical God of War-surprise in place for players. This makes Ascension a Pandora's box of sorts, with the unnecessary choices on top, covering hope.

By the time you're viewing the credits, you'll have had a great ride that doesn't compare to other games. Of course, the action is as standard as can be and often done better, but the sense of humor is so perfect, that you'll actually suspect Deadpool himself to have developed the game.

It is a pity Story of Seasons has such a slow start, because impatient gamers may stop playing. Please don't, because Story of Seasons is a fun farming simulator that will keep you busy for many hours thanks to the many possibilities for you to chose from.

The Pinball Arcade is the best pinball simulation there is. We wouldn’t have elected for a retail-version and preferred a different system to play it on, since this one has less cabinets and it does have a tournament mode. Are you patient and can you enjoy the pretty cabinets in this version, then don’t let us stop you.

V-Rally 4 stays on the safe side in the rally sub-genre. The result is a game that feels a bit too familiar, though it does come with some impressive rally tests. It's too bad the cars are too unpredictable.

Still addictive as ever, but very little has changed. The official Champions League is a nice addition, but it lacks the German teams and up-to-date player selections. Improved A.I. and shorter loading times justifies a new purchase, but don’t expect a much different game from last year.

Sundered is an amazing looking game that is not too convincing when it comes to gameplay. The combat lacks depth and there are only a few boss fights that are truly entertaining.

Grand Slam Tennis is decent tennis game, but could have been better. The animations are bad and we’re missing a tutorial. The Wii Motion Plus is a nice additions, but if you’re going to play with your friends, it is necessary fort hem to also add the Wii Motion Plus. Without, it isn’t a fair fight.

This game looks new, but behind that pretty face you will find the exact same game as last year. It does have an improved scouting system which makes this a solid football management sim, but we are not a fan of the odd design choices.

Pod is an awful map, but the rest are very enjoyable. It does come off a bit cheap, with two of the maps being remakes of existing ones, but the Zombie-mode is once again original and offers a new piece of game, and the quality the series is known for.

Worms 3 is exactly what you know it for. The map-system and the different classes offer a little extra depth, but this only has longevity when playing it online. The predictable enemies only keep the single player fun for a few hours.

Whether you like Tekken 7 will depend on your knowledge of Tekken. If you are a die hard fan waiting for something new and crazy to happen to the franchise, this will be a disappointment. If you are relatively new to the series and you just want to play with your friends or online, Tekken 7 will definitely do the trick.

Superstars V8 Racing is a good game with a lot of detail for realism. There are enough races and cars available to entertain you for a while. However, due to the lack of game modes, the game doesn't achieve the status it could have reached.
