Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Remastered was a treat to play through. The game's characters will entertain you from start to end, and all its mechanics have been expertly remade. As such, it is a no-brainer for fans of the series, especially at the reasonable price of $20, and a great suggestion in general to gamers who enjoy a good laugh.

Whether you’re a fan or an old hand at Mortal Kombat, the Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is unmissable. There is a vigorously faithful and feature rich adherence to preserving the core aspects of the original arcade versions of the Mortal Kombat games, as well as bringing along intriguing PS1 spin-offs and early 00s Gameboy Advance titles. If you’re looking for more modern entries you will be disappointed, but if you appreciate the legacy and the history of the Mortal Kombat franchise, this is an impressive and essential collection that ought to be a precedent for other retro videogame collections developed in the future.

Even with this failing, there is still a lot going for this game. The game is still a joy to play. The controls are intuitive while the graphics and music combine to form a claustrophobic, lonely atmosphere. In addition, the narrative is intriguing enough to keep you playing. Spiritfarer is a real treasure. It’s rare to find a game that hits the homerun of being fun to play and gorgeous to look at, while also having a touching narrative to tie it all together. The crafting and exploration gameplay elements are by no means revolutionary, but they are executed superbly to be both compelling and satisfying, whilst complimenting the story structure of the game. If my word and the screenshots alone aren’t enough to convince you this is one of the best looking games around, check out some videos of it in action to see what I mean. Despite my issues with the combat, Ghost of Tsushima isn’t just a great Samurai game, it’s a great period piece the creates a loving and grounded look at Japan as a whole. Set amongst the backdrop of a real world battle, Sucker Punch has created a game that is masterfully crafted, and is a huge leap forward for the studio. It’s got a lot to unpack and dig into for those who like exploration, with plenty of things to upgrade and improve upon. In the end, Gravity Rush is one of the most original games on the PS Vita that really challenges the player but be warned, the learning curve is a little steep initially but once mastered, you will become a Jedi of gravity manipulation. Imagine being trapped in a world created by a madman and then thrown into a blender because at times, you don't know what's going but that's the magic of this game which will definitely keep you coming back for me.

If you enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn and want to revisit this universe again, The Frozen Wilds is a must have DLC that give the player an impressive area to explore as Aloy. Given that most players should be able to finish this game in around 10-12 hours, exploration is definitely the key to increasing the longevity of this DLC and once you have finished the main mission, you’re free to continue exploring. Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds succeeds at giving the fan a well-thought out DLC from start to finish.

With a diverse and entertaining soundtrack, Beat the Beat Rhythm Paradise is truly a game that the Nintendo Wii needed and will keep you busy until the release of the Wii-U. Who would have thought that the A button and to an extent the B button could create some bizarre gaming experience that is actually quite fun to play. Kewl!

The Last Clockwinder may not have the most original concept, but it is still a well executed and charming puzzler.
