    I timed it and it takes about a minute and a half of load time when you move from one area to the next. Like I said before though this is a stretch because each area is so large that you don’t mind because you spend so much time in the area it is worth it.

    This game has single-handedly stolen my soul since it arrived at my doorstep and I find myself needing to level up once a night, much like my wife and her World of Warcraft addiction.

    Borderlands is unique, it's different, and it's hard to classify. But it's not for everyone. It's not for the stereotypical CoD/Halo crowd. It's not revolutionary, but it is interesting. And, crucially, it's a hell of a lot of fun, but only, long term at least, in co-op.

    In actuality, in spite of these congruities, all of its parts are tailored toward the shooter genre, so it's not an RPG at all really, it's just a multi-layered FPS, which, to be honest, is brilliant.

    Great game. You pick 1 of 4 characters with a special action ability and 3 trees of mostly passive stat increasing talents and its a FPS.Great game. There are literally a Billion guns because of the Random Stat Generator for the guns so you'll always be able to find something you like. The game is at its best during Split Screen Co-op or Online with 3 other players. Playing solo is harder and slower and boring when you don't have someone to play with. I would get the Game of The Year Edition because it has the 4 DLCs that are well worth it and add hours onto the game.… Expand

    Borderlands 1 is filled with fun characters and locations. A sense of solitude adds to this oh-so weird planet of Pandora. The true sense of being alone in a post apocalypses is brought here and it stays. That's definitely something that can't be said for the next games.

    I normally suck at fps but this game allowed me to get better at them and the same time enjoy them the thing that ade me get this game was theI normally suck at fps but this game allowed me to get better at them and the same time enjoy them the thing that ade me get this game was the rpg elements and I have to say they work pretty well but when you play with people who have modded guns (like me) and you don't it is a little frustating and it's because of that, that I realized I was tired of the game; after playing as every character and defeating the game on hard a couple of times I realized there wasn't much else to the game to keep me entertained. after that it was only about helping some newbies get levels fast and trying to get rare weapons. I really wish they make a sequel and they put a better competitive mp and fix the vehicules and also more variety of enemies and weapons and maybe the possibility to change to third person view so u can see ur own looks… Expand

But after about an hour the game gets a little drab and boring, the only thing it leaves you with is the humor. The enemies are just EXP fodder, and the bosses couldn't be any easier. The split screen doesn't split the screen properly if you play with friends (in the menus), all the quests are fetch quests (kill this 7 of these monsters), there is no character development, the story is horrendous, and the ending contains no closure.… Expand
