Paradise Lost is a classic walking simulator and this represents the cross and delight of the entire production. Letting yourself be carried away by the ashen environments, definitely inspired in their majestic decadence, means living a very suggestive and exciting story. On the other hand, its didactic nature and the total lack of playful elements could make anyone looking for a more classic and varied experience turn up their nose. The interest that Paradise Lost instills in players more inclined to narrative involvement goes beyond the game itself and could push the most curious to get interested in the real "Giant Project" or in the similarities with the homonymous poem by John Milton. This does not detract from the fact that the game has a level of graphic cleanliness largely to be reviewed and a structure locked inside a giant corridor. It's up to you to decide whether to immerse yourself in this chilling aquarium, or look for a less passive gaming experience.- IGN Italia

While not innovating or twisting the original formula, Ys IX Monstrum Nox is revealed, however, an action-jrpg full of events and extremely rewarding. The psychological introspection of the protagonists, the action valuable and the general pace, lend the side to very few defects. The usual Japanese immobility in technical terms and the heavy linearity are undoubtedly heavy for those who expected an evolution from the excellent Lacrimosa of Dana. Nevertheless, even if weakened by an aspect entirely comparable to a title for PS3 and some drops of tone in the narrative, Ys IX Monstrum Nox remains a valuable game, absolutely indicated to fans of the series and enough circumscribed and autonomous to be played as a stand-alone episode.- IGN Italia

The short duration allowed the screenwriters to give shape to a tighter and more cinematic story, all embellished with quite varied scenarios and a graphic impact among the best in circulation. Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack is an interesting package especially if you love music games. Clearly the chapter already published on Nintendo Switch and the ideal choice in case you want to start with this saga. However, the two titles collected in the collection are perfectly in line with the hilarious atmosphere well known to those who love the saga. Although the two campaign modes are not exactly the best of freshness and rhythm, their inclusion is one more reason to linger among the joyful notes of this irresistible rhythm game. Call Of The Sea is a good debut, that uses puzzle and riddle-based gameplay to tell an atmospheric story. Its weakness lies in a conception of riddles that is not always very clear, source of some moments of frustration, and in a limited duration. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of a Lost Era is a real celebration of the Japanese role-playing game, an icon that brings together all those elements that can elevate it to the average quality, consecrating it as one of the best JRPGs ever, along with very few other exponents of the genre. Square-Enix perfects one of his most representative works, putting together an immense JRPG, rich of contents and with many, small filings that improve infinitely the fruition. Last but not least, compared to the eleventh standard episode, this special version also finds a shining technical aspect, thanks to a graphics rich of elements, with an exquisite design and a granitic frame-rate. Chronos: Before the Ashes is a minimalist, imperfect title with a basic spartan aesthetic and a slow pace. Despite this, it is able to give back a vivid sense of discovery and each new ravine or weapon, or power gives us another reason not to detach ourselves from it. The same scenic installation, initially disappointing, fits perfectly with the world hovering between enchantment and technology. It is undeniable that Immortals: Fenyx Rising owes much to Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but it is equally undeniable that the Ubisoft game manages to find its way and to propose its own vision. Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a delightful game, a small production that exudes care from all pores and manages to instill a relaxing sense of calm in the player. The narration, which draws on classic Japanese folklore, has those simple but winning characteristics typical of the training story. A pure, cheerful and touching fairy tale, capable of holding on to the screen until the (splendid!) conclusion. Unfortunately, some naivety in mission management makes the second half of the game a bit redundant. It would have been perfect to "dry" the continuous backtracking, enriching the central part with some unprecedented fighting. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is undoubtedly a tangible step forward from the classic musou. Not only in terms of quality, but also for the commitment of the developers in the creation of a powerful story and the inclusion of solid and funny mechanics. The management of the elements and powers linked to the Sheikah technology are a breath of fresh air and a considerable whiplash to a gameplay notoriously linked to rhythms mostly noisy and carefree. While not renouncing its disruptive roots, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is inscribed in a very refined construct, endowed with a dragging narrative and endowed with an overwhelming number of secondary activities. To pay the price is the fluidity of the action, mixed with a very low resolution and full of pop-ups in portability and drops in frame-rate rather annoying in dock mode. Although the technical sector is not in line with the ambitions of the project, the game can be said to be substantially successful.- IGN Italia

Pac-Man Mega Tunnel Battle is a nice experiment that turns an iconic saga into a battle royale, even if some gameplay mechanics don't fit well with Tōru Iwatani's original concept.- IGN Italia

Visage is a survival horror that tries in every way to shake off that walking simulator aura that is so easy to put on it. On the one hand it succeeds in its intent, thanks especially to the proposed puzzles and the remarkable longevity. However, much of the experience is still tied to a limited script and the freedom of movement within the house is only apparent. The obsessive bactracking and the very slow pace of the action end up limiting the ambitions of the game, which remains - in any case - a raw and terrifying experience. Visage represents a considerable step forward compared to the usual horror rides proposed by the competition, but not enough to approach the classics it is inspired by.- IGN Italia

XIII Remake could've been a nice way to relive a classic FPS tale, but it's filled with too many bugs, glitches and technical issues. Maybe with future patches it can overcome its problems but right now you're just better off playing the original instead: it's cheap and it's still the best way to experience XIII.- IGN Italia

Assassin's Creed Valhalla is an epic journey through the identity of the saga. Ubisoft Montreal achieved to merge the old urban assassin gameplay with the new RPG system thanks to a dense, vivid and handcrafted open world. It may be a little bit clunky in terms of visuals and optimization and not very original in its mechanics, but the experience is overall very solid, entertaining and astonishing in terms of scope.- IGN Italia
