Twenty five characters, nice Pixar movie looks, and the mix of MOBA and first person shooter genres makes the first big Hero Shooter one of the most original games we've seen in years. Only the lack of more multiplayer modes and maps keeps Battleborn away from being one of the best games we've seen this first half of year.

Severed is Drinkbox Studios' vision of how the dungeon crawlers should be updated. A "metroidvania" adventure that's pure fun, with a fantastic combat system (that focuses on Vita's touch sensitive screen) and some mechanics, like the limbs and guts amputations, that make it a different experience. It's a game that, once it hooks you up, won't release until you finish it. A 8-9 hour trip that will make your Vita sing.

As the beginning of this new and ambitious series, it effectively introduces the charismatic Yo-kai and the peculiar (and fun) battle system. Despite its poor visuals compared to other recent titles for Wii U, StarFox Zero retains the charm that made the StarFox saga a classic, almost a genre on its own, and implements a new control scheme that uses the GamePad for precise aiming. Full of hidden paths, with a great learning curve, different vehicles, and true "classic" gameplay, StarFox Zero is a MUST if you own a Wii U.
