At its core, Mario Party 10 is just another Mario Party game, but it is also the best one. Smash Brothers and Mario Kart are superior “gamers’ games”, but for partying with friends or family members who only play casually, you can’t get much better than this.

The Switch port is pretty barebones with no touchscreen functionality or good use of HD Rumble. In terms of visuals and performance, it is excellent but no additions in any form are disappointing. I’m glad all three of the games I was recommended are now playable on the Switch and XSEED and Marvelous Europe have done a lovely job bringing an indie that is perfect for Switch to the platform. I hope it does well enough to get a physical release in the future. This is on the same level as Sonic Mania Plus for me so if you enjoyed that, get on this as soon as you can.

The combination of relaxing fishing and Lovecraftian horror is a match made in heaven (or maybe hell) and the loop of catching sea creatures and selling them for upgrades is consistently compelling. If you think you can handle the horrors that lie beneath, you’ll find a fantastic game that’s unlike anything else.

Road 96 tells a poignant story of those trying to escape a corrupt and dangerous country through great gameplay and multiple playthroughs.

OkunoKA Madness is great fun if you can handle the difficulty, with unique mechanics, an incredible art style and tons of extra content to unlock.

Steins;Gate Elite takes the best of the anime and visual novel source material to create a superb visual novel adventure experience that is a must play for newcomers to the genre and fans of the original visual novel.

Dorothy and Fen’s adventure is a brilliant slice of zen gaming, a treat. Image & Form have knocked the it out of the park with this sequel.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about the puzzles and story since I completed The Swapper. For a game so cryptic, I’m surprised at how much it impacted me. The ending in particular will stay with you for a long time.
