Mundaun has got an interesting story to tell and it also has multiple endings. There are quite a few secrets to be found for the curious that want to go about exploring its open world. The game clocks in at around 8 hours long for me – probably around 6 hours for most people that don’t get sidetracked too easily. Mundaun is a creative masterpiece of a horror game. If you enjoy horror games make sure you give this game a try.

The game's complicated control scheme takes a little getting used to, and adjusting the arc of the ballista's shots can be frustrating at times. The game likes to turn small stick movements into large changes in trajectory, which is a problem when you need to precisely place your shots to bring down a retaining wall or an enemy knight. I didn't have this issue when playing the original game, so I don't know how or why it made its way into the VR version. Overall, I enjoy the game's presentation, the cool 3D feel to its playing field, and its quirky mash-up of genres, but I have to dock the VR version points for its finicky controls.

Whether you buy John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando to play online or offline, you can’t go wrong. If you liked the single player in World War Z (like I did), I think you’ll really like this game’s single player mode as well. The game has the same overall feel of World War Z for the most part. It gives you satisfaction through constant leveling up whether you are victorious or suffering defeat in each stage. Besides the faulty AI teammates, the main thing I found lacking is that the game has no other modes besides the campaign. With some extra DLC, this game could be just as good as World War Z. I’m really hoping that Toxic Commando gains a cult following like World War Z to where Saber will keep supporting it for a few more years. For a value price game, it has a lot to offer!

Sea of Solitude certainly has a unique look and feel to it, but the novelty alone is not enough to carry the game. Your enjoyment of it will come down to how much you connect to Kay and her story because the gameplay alone will not be enough to compel you to play until the end. Even if you're just in it for the story, there are times when that story will also feel like a slog, especially when you face the monsters that represent Kay's endlessly bickering parents. The game is certainly an unusual experience, but it will probably leave you wishing that it was a more compelling one.

Overall, Exoprimal is quite a solid game even with its one mode. The amount of variety in the exosuits kept me coming back to the game often. The game has a lot of DLC, but all the exosuits can be unlocked by playing the game and leveling up each exosuit to a certain level. The game also has a good bit of free unlockables that you can get from collectible cards (basically a type of loot crate) in game. If Capcom could include a true campaign mode where you could play it solo or with a team of other players, I could see this franchise being just as good as Lost Planet 1 and 2 (mainly Lost Planet 2) in the long run. Definitely give this game a try if you like Capcom online shooters – I have a feeling you’ll like it if you’re willing to give around 5 hours for it to truly show you what it has to offer.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a revitalization of a game that remains vivid, addictive, and comfortably familiar. While it lacks the immersive touch of something like Skyrim, The Witcher, or Fable, the split-up areas of the Faelands are still fun to explore. Overall, it's disappointing that the campaign is so much shorter than that of Taken King. Outside of that, you get about the same amount of new content with Rise of Iron that you did with Taken King. Taken King felt like more of an expansion, though, perhaps because the Dreadnaught was significantly different than any other zone in the game, while the Plaguelands feel like an extension of the Cosmodrome. For an expansion that costs as much as a new game, Rise of Iron doesn't deliver enough content that is truly fresh and new. You’ll be acutely aware of the map’s relatively small size since it will have you doing a fair amount of backtracking during your quests. It seems like the game’s length is more likely the result of some sort of constraint felt by the developers, budgetary or otherwise, because there is enough to the game’s world, story, and potential side narratives to provide for a longer experience. Your time with the game will be mostly enjoyable, but you will feel that your experience was cut artificially short when you reach the end.
