An enjoyable twist on the tower defense genre. The downside of tower defense games is that you can often find yourself a disengaged viewer, watching your towers do their work and hoping for the best. That's not the case with Space Run. It has the strategy elements of a tower defense game, but it keeps you constantly active in defending and adapting your ship. And to me, that's a winning combination.

The game is quite a decent brawler rogue-like experience, but it is heavily brought down by its bugs. You might play the game and not get any in the short-term, but keep playing and your bound to run across one. The worst part about the bugs is how they soft-lock you out of progressing. Without the technical problems, I’d give the game somewhere in the 70% range easily since it’s quite good on its own, but the problems bring it down quite a bit overall.

f you're a fan of science fiction stories, such as the Deus Ex games, you'll most likely find something to like in State of Mind. It's got some nice twists and surprises once it starts moving along at a good pace. The number of characters you eventually play as and the learning of some good information about each of their lives helps the story out a good bit. In a move that doesn't happen often these days, I'm going to go against the mainstream critics and fans and say The Escapists 2 is a Switch game that doesn't even deserve a first look, let alone a second. If I want to feel the opposite of entertained, and instead an emotion bordering on physical pain, I'd save my money and throw myself down the stairs. My home has two flights, one for each game in this inexplicably popular series. Good news! However, it's a formula that works well and I still had fun with the game even though I basically knew what to expect going into it. I liked the story in this game, it's fun and original, and is packed with that trademark LEGO humor. It's a great game for parents to play with their kids, or for anyone who's a kid at heart. Besides Dragonball Fighter Z, it’s the first game I’ve seen to capture the feel of the series so very well and with a good bit of quality. There are some interesting ideas at play here and the reality TV show simulation genre is far from crowded, but the problem is that there is so little to the actual core gameplay. The voyeuristic nature of reality TV makes this a game in which you spend a lot of time simply listening to the characters speak to each other and finding that what they have to say isn’t all that interesting. I can’t help but feel that if this was more of a real simulation of reality TV that gave you a lot more control in staging and forcing dramatic moments, then The Crush House would be more fun to play. As it is, it’s a bit of curiosity that will keep your interest about as long as it does your fictional viewers’.
