Even though the light is dying for the people of Harran, this zombie game's light couldn't be brighter with this new enhanced edition of Dying Light.

If you’re a fan of Dragonball Z, you owe it to yourself to try out Dragonball Z Kakarot in whatever form you can experience it in. There is truly no wrong way to go when it comes to this game. The Switch version is certainly a value with the extra DLC that it comes packed with. As usual, the Switch version also has the advantage of being portable. The game looks great whether in portable form or on an HDTV. Dragonball Z Kakarot is the ultimate companion piece to have while watching the DBZ anime series so don’t miss out on this game!

Overall, the core of Pinball M is not that much different from that of Pinball FX. If you’ve played that game, once you spend a minute or two adjusting to the new menu layout you’ll be right at home. It would have been nice if you could have kept your collection of tables all in one place, but at least this separation allows the skilled designers at ZEN Studios to explore more themes – although the studio has toned down mature licenses in the past such as Borderlands. You can take it out for a test spin for free, and if you like what you see you can pick up another table or two, or go all in for about $20 at the time of this writing. ZEN Studios has consistently been providing new content based on new franchises to Pinball FX, so it’s likely that you’ll see Pinball M’s selection of tables continue to grow in the future.

Overall Titan Quest is definitely recommendable to those looking for the simple pleasure of slaying thousands of monsters with their mouse. In depth and complex it is not, but it still can be fun and addicting in its own right.

A solid gaming experience with great atmosphere though a little linear.

If you buy Altarian Prophecy to play the new campaign you’ll be happy with it, but otherwise don’t expect major enhancements to Galactic Civilizations from this expansion.

Starhawk is one of the best multiplayer shooters that I have played mainly for its strategic build and battle gameplay. The gameplay style truly brings a lot more to the usual online multiplayer gameplay that is found in other games.

It's more of the same Skylanders gameplay, which is probably just fine with Skylanders obsessed pre-teens.

Word game fans should take up this quest because they will love the journey.

Rare is the game that can generate a truly creepy atmosphere – Call of Cthulhu is one of those games.

If you're looking for a new chapter in the Portal saga, Bridge Constructor Portal won't give you that. There's a little of that trademark GLaDOS dark humor before each level, but the game is really a sequence of puzzles rather than a contiguous story. I didn't mind that, though, I enjoyed the challenge of the puzzles (and to be honest, it was also fun watching everything collapse in spectacular fashion as a convoy was trying to get safely across) and it's always a treat to listen to GLaDOS, voiced as in the Portal games by Ellen McLain. You don't have to be a Portal fan to enjoy the game, just a fan of physics-based puzzle games. And if you are a Portal fan, while the game isn't exactly Portal 3, it's nice to be able to make a brief return to Aperture Industries anyway.

The game has a unique puzzle mechanic and a good sense of humor.

It's almost hard to believe that a first-person shooter set 9,000 years before the invention of gunpowder could be this enjoyable.

A lot of personality and a core built on a classic family game make Risk: Factions fun for anyone with a soft spot for the original board game.

Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate is a great fighter for new players and might be a worthy upgrade for those that already own the original DOA5.

If you don't already have UMvC3 then I'd highly recommend this release since it's still a fantastic fighter. Even with the unbalanced characters, it's still loads of fun to mess around with. The single player and local play works great but if you plan on going online, you need to go to training and practice the game with input lag (it's actually an option to practice with a simulated lag) since you can't play without input lag online with its current netcode.

Feels more like an incomplete beta than a full release.

Angry Birds on the PSP is one really annoying bug away from being a fun game.

Soulcalibur V is just as solid of a fighter as its predecessors but it hit a few bumps somewhere in that 17 year skip from the last installment.

That said, FFIV is still one of the best RPGs of all time, and if you STILL haven't played it and don't own a DS, now is your chance. Even without the graphical update, the greatness of the game shines through and is one of those that everyone should play before they die.

Othercide is a menagerie of morose beauty and slick turn-based action. You will feel both vulnerable and powerful at any given stage, which is indicative of the dynamic RPG and roguelite elements. And with an unforgettable artistic flair and engulfing atmosphere, you won't want to give up, no matter how crushing the difficulty can become.

It's hard to pick out any particular aspect of the game and call it outstanding, but everything in the game just comes together nicely for a fun overall experience. Recommended for most gamers except for bowler-wearing city slickers.

The play is simple enough on the surface, but the real gameplay comes from the depth of strategy involved in the game.

World at War is at once easy to play and challenging, making it a perfect game for those looking to refight World War II without getting bogged down in the details.

If you loved "Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis," you'll definitely enjoy this game. However, the degree of difficulty, taken with the poor save game system and non-intuitive squad command system, might make it a frustrating play for some.

It's for people who are looking for a rudimentary exercise in radical thought and hobbled game design. If that's you, then you'll love Zeno Clash.

If you’re looking for a real challenge in a great looking strategy game, then Soldiers is for you. However, the game can be so difficult that it will be just too much for the patience of most gamers.

Overall the game does an excellent job of making you feel a part of the timeless Godfather saga. In a world where movie-licensed games are forgettable attempts to cash in on a movie's fleeting popularity, this is no small accomplishment.

Dragon Quest Heroes isn't the best game of the holiday season, but it sure manages to carve out a nice niche for itself.

The series' best game yet.

Kane's Wrath may not be a "must have" expansion for Command & Conquer 3, but the campaign is enjoyable enough to recommend to fans of the series.

Blasphemous is a gothic horror masterpiece that can't be missed.

Recommended for RPG fans that missed Tales of Symphonia the first time around.

Sprinkle Islands is worth playing for those looking for a physics puzzler that's a little different from everything else out there. However, make sure that you're willing to be a little patient with it.

Definitely not your typical zombie game..

A good mix of an action/adventure game and a traditional fighter. Fans of either genre will find something to enjoy and MK fans will especially enjoy the references to MK lore.

The player models are good with recognizable faces – although the game does tend to make every player look like they’ve spent a lot of time at the gym in the offseason.

The game is so off-the-wall and original, that it is worth a look even if you’re not usually into platform games.

I have no trouble recommending it to gamers, albeit with a number of caveats. If you're looking for an intense shooter experience, then you should probably pass on it. If you're looking for something that is without a doubt a unique experience in gaming, then you'll find what you're looking for here.

Overall Universe at War can be a lot of fun for strategy fans. However, some annoyances and the lack of any real innovation may be enough to turn off the more casual player or those who are burned out on the standard strategy game paradigm.

If you’re looking for a new type of action rpg that has a good mix of many other games, Hell Is Us is a good choice to try out. The game has a lot to explore and it’s not just about combat. It has much exploring, puzzle solving and character interaction throughout its gameplay. Fans of Dark Souls that want a “Dark Souls” type of challenge, should look elsewhere, because this game only has the core mechanics of Dark Souls and it basically ends there. Hell is Us has a very fresh feel to it overall and I highly recommend it to players that want a dark story mixed with various RPG elements taken from different games.

It looks fantastic, but strategy aficionados may find that there's too much of a puzzle-like aspect to the game's missions.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 is a worthy fighter to check out whether or not you're a fan of the Naruto manga.

It's worth your time to take these tanks out for a test drive.

Send the kids to Grandma's or tell your squeamish friends to stay at home, put out the cat, lock the doors, turn out the lights, and prepare to creep yourself out.

The chance to skate a virtual LA will appeal to Tony Hawk fans and those new to the series will find the story mode a great way to quickly learn how to be a sick video skate rat.

Soothing, intense, and emotional, Deliver Us the Moon takes you on a memorable voyage filled with wonder and surprises. Whether roaming the abandoned moon base or the dusty grey plains, you are engulfed by the palpable atmosphere engendered by the stunning score and crisp environmental visuals. Overall, this is a debut you will be over the Moon to play.

A good game with some of the best uses to date for the Wii controllers. There are some graphical issues and some odd control response but not enough to call out a hit on.

If you are looking for a fun, relaxing game, with great visuals, you have found it; if you are looking for a challenge, well, take a calculus class, or maybe intermediate accounting.

Don't let the odd name turn you off; this one is worth checking out.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite is a good step forward in terms of gameplay so long as you overlook the visuals and the roster.

While I did have some fun with Scarlet Nexus, I am left with the feeling that it could have been more. If there was more life to the city, and any life at all to the frequently drab mission locations, all of the traversal in the game would have felt a lot less like traversal and the world would have felt more immersive and fleshed-out. The combat has its unique aspects, but there is a repetition to it that is exposed by the volume of battles that you will fight against the same enemy types. While it is a plus that the game essentially gives you two campaigns, you may find yourself having had enough after making it through one.

A difficult solo experience, but the fun increases with the number of players.

Retro Game Challenge is a great way to relive your NES days, or to see what the NES days were like.

Even with DK: Jungle Climber's faults, the game still delivers.

Soldner-X 2 isn't a perfect game, but it can be a lot of fun and even a stepping stone for those looking to hop into the genre.

The closest a game has come yet to being an interactive comic.

LEGO City Undercover is at its heart another LEGO game, so if you've played a few in the past then you already have a pretty good idea of whether or not you'll enjoy it. I enjoyed the game, the story is fun and I like the way that it is packed with so many pop culture references it's bursting at the seams. The open world city and surrounding countryside are fun to explore and the game feels like it delivers the largest LEGO world to date. Sure, LEGO City Undercover relies on the same formula that LEGO games have been using for quite a long time, but that formula is a good one and makes for fun, light-hearted gameplay.

Porting Revelations to make it readily available to millions of gamers was a smart move by Capcom, but if you have played the 3DS version already then there is nothing new here for you. For everyone else, Capcom has done console and PC gamers a favor in providing a thrilling and riveting addition to this truly evil series.

Retro 8-bit platforming at its best.

Music Evolved may be a rhythm game at its core, but it's an inventive one and is recommendable to anyone who spent a lot of time with Guitar Hero, Rock Band, or similar games.

Overall I had fun with Red Alert 3, but most of it came from playing through the campaign. If you play strategy games primarily for the multiplayer action, then you may be a bit disappointed with the game, through.

If you're not into arcade shooters, then Mutant Storm Empire just simply isn't for you.

I greatly enjoyed my time with Bloodless. It’s got some incredibly interesting visuals and everything about the game just works so well. It’s near perfection. The only real problem I have with the game is that battles can sometimes get a bit too intense once you get crowded into a corner. Thankfully, save points are everywhere, so every skill level can eventually work their way through tough battles. I highly recommend this game to fans of Dark Souls and someone that just wants a good samurai action experience. Players that like an artistic-style game will find plenty to enjoy with Bloodless as well.

If you still have yet to try Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate then pick up the Deluxe Edition. The DLC is very much worth it. If you’re into rogue-like games, be sure to give this one a try.

Infinite Warfare delivers an exciting single player campaign, with compelling characters and enjoyable new gameplay elements. The multiplayer side of the game is thoroughly enjoyable, even if overall it feels like an incremental improvement over Black Ops III.

Raft Pirates has a goofy vibe to it, some inherent pay-for-advantage imbalance, and simple and shallow play mechanics, but in spite of all of that it still manages to provide some entertainment.

Need For Speed Carbon takes the lead among next-gen street racers.

Hack and slash a-go-go. It’s a good game because the play is pretty much identical to an older good game.

Either way you approach the game, Lost Orbit is an enjoyable game. Although things can get a little crazy with all of the gravitational hijinks as you zip through space, the game is not punishing to casual gamers.

If Metro 2033's post-apocalyptic world intrigues you, then just read the book while taking breaks from some other shooter that's actually fun to play

More interactive movie than third-person shooter, The Thing is an enjoyable diversion loaded with atmosphere.

During a somewhat dismal summer release schedule, Transformers: War for Cybertron is a bright spot and, like I said before, truly deserves a look.

Double Dragon Gaiden is a great game, but it just needs some fine-tuning here and there and it really needs an online co-op option. Just watching the game through trailers, I didn’t think that much of it, but once I actually played it, the game blew me away with how good it is. Thanks to the rogue-lite elements, this game can last for quite a while. There is a lot of variety in its gameplay and just enough in its overall difficulty for each playthrough. Overall, Double Dragon Gaiden is a fantastic beat’em up and one that I highly recommend.

A lot of action gamers will appreciate this added challenge, but if you are an action game newbie or get easily frustrated you may find yourself walking away from the game.

The biggest gripe I have with the game is that it is dated. Yea, yea, graphics don't matter but in a sense they also do. Day of Infamy is based on the Source engine which is now 13 years old. Give me a more modern take of this game and it would rival the best in the FPS gig. Even with that said I still can't stop going back and wanting more. Day of Infamy is one of the most tactical and hardest FPS I have ever played. It reminds me of the Dark Souls series in the fact that at first it can be very difficult but once you start to learn the maps and how to utilize the classes to your benefit you can slowly start seeing your score and skill building. Honing that skill is where I am at now and I a loving every minute of it. I die less and am way smarter on my approach which benefits not only myself but the success of the team and a more enjoyable experience. For an entry price of $20 this game is an absolute steal and if you are in a lull with Call of Duty or Battlefield you will in no doubt fill the gap with Day of Infamy.

Despite these flaws, Wolverine is an interesting experience, a PC version of a multiplatform game developed with a sense of responsibility – which in itself is a rarity – and I warmly recommend it to any and all Wolverine fans who were disappointed by the movie (is there any other kind?).

The original game was good, not great. Dark Arisen adds content, fixes existing problems and offers a massive world to play in for a bargain basement price.

A bloody good time.

If you’re new to strategy gaming you probably don’t want to use Perimeter as an introduction to the genre. The interface and AI issues may leave you bewildered and overwhelmed.

It's not the kind of game you'll want to sit down and sink a few hours into, but it could easily turn out that way if you manage to keep convincing yourself that you're ever so close to beating that high score that you set.

By speeding things up with the Demon Hand and turning genre conventions on their head by making the game open world, Toukiden 2 succeeds in so many areas where the original had failed. The dialogue is absolutely awful, but the story is another nice addition and sets the game apart from its contemporaries. Though I tend to think hunting RPGs are a much better fit for a handheld than a console, Toukiden 2 still impresses in ways the original game never foreshadowed. If you are a monster hunter at heart and want to try something a bit different, you could do a whole lot worse that Toukiden 2.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 has enough new features, especially the interesting Legends of the Majors and the online Connected Tournaments, to make it a good purchase if you've been out of the series of a while.

Diehard Law & Order fans will find Justice is Served to be a great way to spend a little time with some of their favorite characters from the series. If you’re not in that category then the game will have a tough time challenging you and holding your interest.

Action-oriented combat and interesting graphics aren't enough to overcome what is overall a rather bland experience.

The golf and courses are challenging enough to keep things interesting, and the variety and abundance of equipment and collectibles added additional incentive to the part of me that likes hoarding new and shiny things.

WWE 2K19 is a massive improvement over 2K18 in overall content. If you want more single player action and a far better My Career mode in your WWE game then be sure to give this game a try! For the past several years, I've been walking away from WWE games feeling disappointed or indifferent but with 2K19, I finally feel a sense of satisfaction after checking it out.

The division of this puzzle-platformer into almost separate puzzle and platforming sections may alienate gamers who are looking for a game with one or the other, but not both. I had more fun with the puzzle sequences than the platforming ones simply because the color wheel control kept messing up my timing. When playing challenging platformers, timing is important and you need to get into a groove, and I just couldn't keep a sustained rhythm going in Hue. I like the game's look, its story, and the puzzle mechanics, but the platform sequences on the whole were more frustrating than they were fun.

Agent Sam Fisher's adventures on the GBA aren't as engrossing as they are on console versions of the game, but you still get some fun stealth-based gameplay on the go.

Lots of weapons for lots of shooting for shooter fans who love to shoot.

An exercise in resource management as much as it is a game, A World of Keflings is not without its charms but is best left to the casual game fan or budding supply chain managers.

If you’re interested in checking out a game that plays differently from most of the action shooters out there, then Stranglehold is worth a look. However, don’t be surprised if you find yourself getting a bit tired of the whole thing before you reach the end despite the game’s short length.

All of the problems can easily be patched. The game is not plagued with bugs, but they can ruin the experience for the moment. It’s still amazing how solid the game is overall. Right now, there is no ranked mode. You are paired with other players that are around your current player level however, which is good for balance. This is definitely a game that every Texas Chain Saw Massacre fan should try out. If you’re a fan of Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13th definitely give this game a try. It more closely resembles Friday the 13th, but it plays much better. It’s so very addicting and overall balanced!

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a good puzzle game with terrific controls, physics, and is actually worth more than the price.

de Blob 2 brings a much needed splash of color and energy to a genre that's become dull and tired.

Fall of Cybertron is the best Transformers game fans have ever seen.
