Jul 8, 2011Aside from those minor complaints, The Adventures of Shuggy is a superb 2D platformer deserving of a much wider audience (the leaderboards paint a slightly depressing picture of the game's sales to date). Smudged Cat Games have created a game with heart, intelligence and a mansion-load of well-applied ideas.

Jun 20, 2011If you're a fan of games like Super Meat Boy and you're looking for some interesting twists to the platforming genre, The Adventures of Shuggy is worth checking out. Smudged Cat's first entry in the big leagues is a promising start, and has me excited for the studio's next project.

Jun 17, 2011The controls are silky smooth, the visual style is adorable, and it doesn't involve shooting men in the face. All this for less than the price of a Spectrum game.

Jul 15, 2011This game has surprised us and it turns out the be one of the first surprises of the Summer. A simple yet very addictive and fun game.

Jul 2, 2011But it's certainly easier to grit your teeth through some frustration when almost every level has an intriguing new wrinkle.

Jul 14, 2011The Adventures of Shuggy is a fresh old school puzzle game.

Jul 21, 2011I did not enjoy my time with The Adventures of Shuggy. The platforming kept me from properly enjoying the puzzles, while the game tried to keep me from even seeing all the puzzles the game had to offer. It was more like work than any videogame should be, and egregiously overpriced work at that.
