Close to the Sun is decent, but I can't help but feel that the game could been so much more. The overall atmosphere and especially the sound is fantastic! If you're looking for a game with a decent engaging story, you might like this one, but don't play it expecting the next Outlast or Bioshock.

There were times while playing that I felt the zen of cleaning, my mind cleared by the soothing sound of water as it steadily droned on or changed pitch while moving between different surfaces. There’s also a certain sense of satisfaction that comes with transforming some grossly dirty areas into the pristine places that they were meant to be. However, there were plenty of times when the simulated work felt like real work. Spending over ten minutes walking slowly back and forth across a driveway to finally get it clean and then looking up and seeing how far you have to go to get the rest of the home clean can be both frustrating and disheartening. The relaxing moments provided by the game were simply outnumbered by those that became more and more tedious by the sheer number of large surfaces that must be cleaned in the game. You can easily spend an evening cleaning somebody else’s home for them, and then look back and think that you could have spent the limited time you have for relaxation and entertainment more wisely.

Prey Mooncrash is a lot of fun for those that like challenging gameplay where you are limited in resources and have to think a bunch on the fly with limited time, but the DLC is not for everybody. If you're the type of player that likes to take your time, the timer will likely drive you nuts and there is no way to turn it off. Either way, Mooncrash offers a lot of replay value in its ever-changing maps and it's an overall very fun DLC to mess around with.

The overall controls are your basic Dark Souls setup - strong and weak attacks, dodge, abilities and a parry. If you're a fan of Dark Souls, you're not guaranteed to like Code Vein, but you will immediately fall right into its gameplay since it's nearly the same. Code Vein focuses more on narrative through cutscenes compared to Dark Souls hidden lore among the items that you find. Code Vein is quite enjoyable if you're in the mood for a good story mixed with some decent Dark Souls gameplay. I had a lot of fun with it despite its problems.

Phasmophobia is one of few games that gives me a sense of dread when starting each run and I love it for that. Very few games make me feel this uneasy. It’s amazing that this game is still in its “preview” run on both Xbox and PC. The developers must set their sights very high since the game feels quite finished overall. It would be nice if they would add some sort of story. That’s about my only nitpick with this title. If you’re into horror games, be sure to give this game a try. It’s more of an online co-op game, but even the single player is fun to mess around with. The game is so very rewarding once you start to get adjusted to it.

If you're in the mood for a co-op shooter, Strange Brigade is a worthwhile pickup. The game has many unique modes of play that keep it from getting repetitive quickly. I had a lot of fun with the game, especially in co-op, but also in single player as well. Taking everything into consideration, I'd have to say that while I like the novelty of the ghost enemies mimicking the player's actions, once that novelty wears off you begin to notice the cracks and things begin to feel repetitive. Even though the game is inspired by old-school horror titles, it is still very much its own thing. The game has a lot of its own ideas and feels unique even with its similarities. If you’re an old-school survival horror fan, you need to buy Tormented Souls. This game was created exclusively with you in mind. With the game’s value price, it’s quite amazing the amount of content in the game. If only this game had more replay value to it, it would be a super solid experience. Imagine stacking F.3.A.R. up against, say, Resistance 2. Shooters both, the games are about on par with one another in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay, etc. The difference is Resistance came out in 2008. It's 2011, and forward-thinking gamers simply don't feel like yesterday's best is today's as well. The game is clearly focused on collecting cars and expanding your collection rather than providing an extensive and full-featured racing game experience. The arcade racing is fun in short bursts, but the blind box system can make it feel like a grind while trying to obtain the cars that you want. If you pick this game up, do it for the car collecting. The combat feels lackluster, but you do get plenty of help in the form of items and other collectibles that you find that help out during combat. The game seems like it is a constant learning experience, which is great! Even with the combat flaw, I still really like this game however. It’s not completely perfect, but it sure is one very unique horror game. This game should be tried by all horror fans at least once. The story was very good overall. Crane is just such an interesting character and it really shows when we return to him. Aiden was good, but it’s so much more satisfying to return to an established character to see more of his story. You can honestly tell that the developers have more fun with Kyle Crane and Roger Craig Smith definitely does. Overall, if you’re a fan of the first game, go out and buy this game right now. It’s made for you. I honestly like every piece of Dying Light that I can get my hands on, so each game has been great for me. The Beast has a few bugs here and there but nothing like what Dying Light 2 had when it first released. The Beast runs at a VERY smooth framerate from the start on Xbox Series X and PC. No doubt, Techland will give this game support for years to come, just like they have done with Dying Light 2. The Beast stands out as my personal favorite Dying Light so far. It just has all the best of Dying Light combined into one – tons of zombie splattering, decent amount of parkour (not overdone), the Kyle Crane character and a great story. Bravo Techland!
