Game InformerA solid interface makes this Xbox 360 port a reasonable - though not ideal - way to play Tropico 3. [Issue#203, p.92]
-
Overall though, the gameplay is what shines through here, and while I'm sure there's a better experience to be had with the PC version, 360 owners itching for some city building sim will be pretty happy with what this port has to offer.
-
Tropico 3 is a deep, complex and though game, packaged in a very good technical realization and catchy music. Missions are much varied and never boring, but they get sometimes ruined by the complex and unclear menus. If you like managerial games, this is surely a suggested game.
-
While the Tropico franchise has existed on the PC for a while, Tropico 3 marks its first appearance on consoles, and for the most part, it's a solid first outing.
-
Tropico 3 is a great city builder and at the same time an enjoyable and very good-looking RTS also in Xbox 360.
-
So addictive you'll be playing for weeks. [Jan 2010, p.108]
-
Long time fans of the genre looking to get their fix on the console(s) will find what they need here. Unfortunately, they are also going to find the things that hinder the genre on anything other than a PC.
