Overall, the DLC is quite good. It adds a good bit to the main game. The Casey Jones character is a lot of fun. Like I said, he doesn’t seem like much from the beginning. He doesn’t have a special that completely saves you from damage like the other characters and he starts out extremely slow, but if you can take advantage of his potential for heavy damage, he is an absolute beast. The new stage is like a double decker stage addition, so it’s quite fun to play.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 allow the series to grow up and it’s truly a refreshing experience. It’s still very much on par with the past two games – it doesn’t do all that much outside of them, but you can definitely tell that the series is now on more powerful systems. I feel that this game will please both longtime fans of the Stories series and newcomers. If you didn’t like the past games, you may want to give this one a try and it might change your opinion on the franchise. It doesn’t change the gameplay that much at all, but visually, it all looks so much better this time around.

Like Like so many indie games hitting the market these days, Unmechanical has found yet another way to break the platformer mold and offer up a hefty amount of puzzle solving gameplay for a small price. So, in the end, if you haven’t picked-up Sonic Origins, yet, you can now get a lot more for your money. If you’ve been playing Sonic Origins off and on over the past year, the real decision point for you is whether or not you want the additional Game Gear games. Adding Amy won’t mean much to you unless you want to play through the Sonic games again with a new character. And adding new music, backgrounds, and animations to a game that you stopped playing won’t really get you to start playing it again, will it? Personally, I think that there’s enough new here if you’re interested in Sonic Game Gear games to warrant a purchase, though. You probably went for the original game at least partially out of a sense of nostalgia anyway, right?

After so many mediocre sequels to the original Crash trilogy, it’s great to see Crash Bandicoot have a worthwhile game again. The difficulty may be hard, but it’s the type of difficulty that kept me trying. I never got truly frustrated at the game since the game gives you the option to play it like the original trilogy (with limited lives and restart level once all are gone) or with a new style (unlimited lives and continue from checkpoints). It’s only super hard if you try to 100% all stages, which is a good challenge for diehard players. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is every bit what a Crash sequel should be and is very comparable to the Naughty Dog installments.

Vampyr is a great rpg action game for those that want a good horror RPG that is very character focused. You REALLY have to enjoy in-game conversations to get the full enjoyment out of the game so keep that in mind. Overall, I enjoyed my time with the game. I loved the art style and music, and while the stories are very short, they are varied and interesting. This game certainly won't appeal to everyone, particularly those who prefer a lot of action over narrative, but it is easily recommendable for those who enjoy something unique and different from time to time. I found that the soulful music and some of the stories would stick with me long after I was done playing the game for the day, and there aren't a lot of games that can accomplish that.

Ride 3 is an easy entry into the motorcycle simulation genre. The level of detail on and off the track is visually satisfying. Over time playing the AI can get a little boring, but multiplayer provides some variety, at least if you win and don't get dead last like I do more than half the time. For someone wanting to get into a motorcycle racing game this is a strong contender. Veterans of the genre may have their niche, but Ride seems to have a good community following. While Street Fighter VI has its shortcomings, the majority of the game is just so good that the little things don’t really even matter. This game is like Capcom’s way of saying “we hear you” after such a lackluster Street Fighter V launch back in the day. They have really put a lot into this game and it shows. I’m not even that hardcore of a fighting game fan anymore and when I play fighting games, I prefer to play Mortal Kombat games. Street Fighter is usually dead last when it comes to fighting games that I enjoy. Street Fighter VI is so good that it makes me want to sit down and actually learn a Street Fighter game after so many years of nudging them away in favor of other fighters. The game is not easy to master, but it’s definitely gotten easier to play and this installment is just plain fun. I also liked playing with the paintings, both in making original creations to sell and in interpreting the requests of clients. I can see gamers who need a bit more structure in their games or who are looking for something with more of a story to it, more of what would be considered an adventure game, feeling a little lost or disappointed with Été. The biggest gripe I have with the game is that it is dated. Yea, yea, graphics don't matter but in a sense they also do. Day of Infamy is based on the Source engine which is now 13 years old. Give me a more modern take of this game and it would rival the best in the FPS gig. Even with that said I still can't stop going back and wanting more. Day of Infamy is one of the most tactical and hardest FPS I have ever played. It reminds me of the Dark Souls series in the fact that at first it can be very difficult but once you start to learn the maps and how to utilize the classes to your benefit you can slowly start seeing your score and skill building. Honing that skill is where I am at now and I a loving every minute of it. I die less and am way smarter on my approach which benefits not only myself but the success of the team and a more enjoyable experience. For an entry price of $20 this game is an absolute steal and if you are in a lull with Call of Duty or Battlefield you will in no doubt fill the gap with Day of Infamy.

It's always good to see a puzzle game with a unique style and an original concept, and the game certainly earns props for turning to M.C. Escher for inspiration.

Even with the minor arguments, Signalis is a fantastic survival horror game, especially for an indie title. It’s honestly one of the closest recent games that I have found to be compared to old-school survival horror. The limited inventory and the fact that you eventually have to run by rooms full of enemies eventually gives that old-school feeling all too much. Fans of old-school survivor horror should run out and buy this right now.

The game’s battles muck up what otherwise would be an enjoyable and lighthearted economic and trading sim.

Dead Rising 4: Frank's Big Package is really the best way to experience Dead Rising 4. It's got all the DLC and it moves smoother than the Xbox One version. Capcom Heroes is a big savior for the game that makes it worth a replay for those that have already played the original game on Xbox One. Fans of the Xbox One version are lucky to be getting Capcom Heroes as a free add-on for their current version since it's honestly the best of the extra modes. The overall campaign, multiplayer mode and season pass DLC still remain the same for the most part but having it all in one package along with a new mode makes it definitely worth the purchase.

Phasmophobia is one of few games that gives me a sense of dread when starting each run and I love it for that. Very few games make me feel this uneasy. It’s amazing that this game is still in its “preview” run on both Xbox and PC. The developers must set their sights very high since the game feels quite finished overall. It would be nice if they would add some sort of story. That’s about my only nitpick with this title. If you’re into horror games, be sure to give this game a try. It’s more of an online co-op game, but even the single player is fun to mess around with. The game is so very rewarding once you start to get adjusted to it.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a definite pickup if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan and appreciate the old NES games. It might even appeal to newer fans as well. The game has a great difficulty balance. It is not easy and not too hard. The game has checkpoints that you’ll constantly respawn at, so you never have to repeat much if you die. The game has multiple difficulties (beat the game once to get “Hard”), and just like the old NES titles, it is a great speedrun game. The combat is very satisfying and the game is overall a really good evolution of the NES games. Be sure to try out this game if you’re a Ninja Gaiden fan!

Aside from being a fighter with a cast of anime and manga characters from Nitroplus, this game is quite a solid fighter overall.

For fans of games with deep stories, you'll get the most out of Someday You'll Return. It's definitely a type of story that requires a lot of thought to piece together after you see it all. The game has multiple endings, so there is a reason to play through it again. There are also many collectibles to find (one collectible type has 100 pieces to find!). Fans of Silent Hill and horror games in general will probably like this game, but keep in mind that it is a very different type of horror game from Silent Hill and Resident Evil - it only takes inspiration from them and is very much its own game and far from a clone. The game builds an overall interesting world and gives a memorable experience that we don't often see in many horror games nowadays.
