No Straight Roads is a charming celebration of music with a polished flair for exposition that kept me thoroughly impressed. While the third-person combat is palling, other elements such as co-op and well-crafted boss stages just about make up for that. And while it only lasts for six hours, this action-adventure burns out and does not fade away; it rocks.

Madden NFL 24 does provide a pretty good simulation of NFL football when you’re on the field. The animations and AI are improved over last year, and the games are fun and challenging at the higher difficulty levels. I just wish that everything around the on-field action was overhauled. Ultimate Team needs to be revamped, and should look to Madden NFL Mobile for inspiration. The mini-games need to be reworked, if not totally removed. And, please build an interface that’s fast, easy to navigate, and gets you pumped to play some football.

While I did have some fun with Scarlet Nexus, I am left with the feeling that it could have been more. If there was more life to the city, and any life at all to the frequently drab mission locations, all of the traversal in the game would have felt a lot less like traversal and the world would have felt more immersive and fleshed-out. The combat has its unique aspects, but there is a repetition to it that is exposed by the volume of battles that you will fight against the same enemy types. While it is a plus that the game essentially gives you two campaigns, you may find yourself having had enough after making it through one.

Overall, Dice Legacy is enjoyable as long as you enjoy a challenge. It has an unusual mix of gameplay that sets it apart from other games of this type. While the dice and some of your decisions add a random element to the game, it feels like Dice Legacy does have an idea of how it wants you to play the game. You don’t necessarily have the freedom to try a variety of strategies, if you want to succeed, that is. Perhaps that’s what makes it more of a survival game and less of a strategy game.

On the negative, the presentation is pretty basic, the event selection is limited, severely so for a while into the game, and the DLC available at the time of this writing is a bit on the sparse side. This is really not my type of game but I enjoyed messing around with it and found a lot to enjoy while playing it, but I’ve been curious about this game for a while now. I prefer more of a solo play type of game without the use of a mic. Playing solo on Bounty Hunt is fun but very challenging. I didn’t like the Soul Survivor mode at all. I mainly respect the overall look and feel of the game more than anything. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is somewhat of a mixed bag, but overall it’s still a great beat’em up. I enjoyed the game much more once I finished the story mode and went into the Arcade Mode. I feel this game mainly excels with its tag team gameplay and overall roster. Story mode just has a sort of dull feel to it with little challenge, but Arcade Mode makes the stage progression feel more meaningful. Cosmic Invasion is not as good as Shredder’s Revenge, but I do feel it just enough unique mechanics to stand out on its own. The hardcore Marvel fan will be pleased, but those looking for something along the lines of Shredder’s Revenge might find the game to be somewhat lacking in areas. I do feel that this would be in the upper bracket of Marvel beat’em ups, but ff this game could get some impressive DLC (more stages and characters), it could very well be a legendary Marvel beat’em up.

The Sinking City is an overall good game if you enjoy investigation games with a bit of horror elements in them. This is really not a game that I would recommend to a horror fans since it focuses far more on investigation and the overall story is slow from the start. Once you get deeper into the game, the horror atmosphere gets better, but it never does stray too far from solving cases in order to gain evidence that takes you to your next lead. Basically, it's not up to a Call of Cthulhu type of horror atmosphere, but it does have its moments where it gets a bit freaky in between all the investigation moments.
