And that’s the key takeaway from World War Z on the Switch: it’s fun. It may not be the prettiest game, nor is it the most original, but when you’re mowing down row after row of zombies, it more than does the trick.

I do recommend other more powerful versions over the Switch version, but the Switch version is not bad at all if that if your only option or you just enjoy having your games on Switch. If you like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood, this game is worth a try. I honestly like this game quite a bit and plan to return to it from time to time.

You’ll have a particularly good time if you can get some friends to play through it with you, though it never quite takes wing the way you might hope. It’s no Left 4 Dead, but as that series has yet to make its way to the Switch, I suppose it doesn’t have to be. It just needs to offer some enjoyable multiplayer undead carnage, and I suppose it handles that well enough.

World War Z may not do anything to really stand out in the genre, but that doesn’t mean it is not a fun time. The core of the game is very basic, and at times can feel like a simple reskin of other similar games, but that should not turn anyone away from checking it out. I would especially recommend it if you are looking for a zombie game on the Switch, as it is probably the best option out there for you.

There’s not much meat to the bones of this zombie-infested adventure, but World War Z—more fun than fear—manages to offer a neat range of multiplayer gaming options and a competent single player campaign.

The Nintendo Switch version of World War Z is still a fun time slaying some zeke with your friends, but it just isn’t as pretty while doing it.

World War Z is an unremarkable zombie shooter that serves up a decent five-odd hours of action if you can find a few friends to play with. It's repetitive stuff; basic and unsurprising for the most part, but this Switch port is solid, managing to provide the full-fat experience without too much in the way of technical issues or other shortcomings. If you're in the mood for blazing through bland masses of zombies with a few friends in tow, this one's got you covered – just don't expect much more than that.

About the switch port. It is fine. There are some problems with performance for a short period of time, but overall it keeps above 25 fps very well for the majority of time while you observe the zombie horde.
I wait for Marseille episode to apear in a month or two

great game but this are pro and con to me personaly

    pros
    -it on switch
-u can pause the game while playing offline (quite revolutionary nowaday idk why game dev stop allowing pause on offline mode)
-it playable in a way i used to play on ps4 and the fps performance close to ps4 when there is zombie horde
-gyro aim (might cause headache to some people but it does help)

    con
-no aftermath update (i only care for the first person mode)
-no defense mode (i guess for a good reason)
-the developer is lowlife degenerate they make the ai so stupid so you were forced to play with other people online

who ever give this game a low review is
-unreasonable pc graphic and fps whor3 (who also for some reason usually hate laptop gamer to)
    -nintendrone who only play mario
    -non gamer

Given that the Switch shooter ecosystem is limited to begin with, up to this point people without access to a PC or another console have really had few choices available to them. Finally, World War Z (yes, based on the world from the movie) has shown up to try to satisfy the need to blow away the flesh-eating undead and… it’s OK. Since I’ve played hundreds of hours of Left 4 Dead and its sequel on PC and now Back 4 Blood as well, cutting back my expectations to look at a more humble attempt on the far less powerful Switch has been a challenge. There’s no denying that visually everything is a bit pixelated and muddy, which is disappointing, but I’ll at least note that for the most part the frame rate at least feels pretty decent, even if the general pace of the game being slower to begin with probably helps in this regard. My biggest complaint is just the lack of oomph to things, especially when it comes to the weapons and their sounds. The sounds of explosions and super-powerful weapons are plain anemic and I didn’t understand how much that adds to the experience before playing this compared to the other franchises I’ve enjoyed. That said, if the Switch is your only gaming option, and you’ve got some friends who are ready to join in on the fun, it’s a very tight race between this and Earthfall: Alien Horde (each having their own merits) for which is the best on the console.
