Dec 14, 2021And that’s the key takeaway from World War Z on the Switch: it’s fun. It may not be the prettiest game, nor is it the most original, but when you’re mowing down row after row of zombies, it more than does the trick.
-
Dec 14, 2021I do recommend other more powerful versions over the Switch version, but the Switch version is not bad at all if that if your only option or you just enjoy having your games on Switch. If you like Left 4 Dead or Back 4 Blood, this game is worth a try. I honestly like this game quite a bit and plan to return to it from time to time.

Dec 2, 2021There’s not much meat to the bones of this zombie-infested adventure, but World War Z—more fun than fear—manages to offer a neat range of multiplayer gaming options and a competent single player campaign.
-
Dec 1, 2021Complete, letting off steam and damn effective, whether on a television or in portable mode, the title makes perfect sense in multiplayer. It's a shame not to take advantage of the additions of the "Aftermath" edition, but here's a competitive FPS that should rally a great community. The zombies just have to beware!
-
Nov 22, 2021World War Z on Switch is a decent port, and is as close to Back 4 Blood as we're likely to see on Nintendo's console any time soon.
-
Nov 10, 2021World War Z may not do anything to really stand out in the genre, but that doesn’t mean it is not a fun time. The core of the game is very basic, and at times can feel like a simple reskin of other similar games, but that should not turn anyone away from checking it out. I would especially recommend it if you are looking for a zombie game on the Switch, as it is probably the best option out there for you.
-
Nov 9, 2021You’ll have a particularly good time if you can get some friends to play through it with you, though it never quite takes wing the way you might hope. It’s no Left 4 Dead, but as that series has yet to make its way to the Switch, I suppose it doesn’t have to be. It just needs to offer some enjoyable multiplayer undead carnage, and I suppose it handles that well enough.
-
Nov 29, 2021The Nintendo Switch version of World War Z is still a fun time slaying some zeke with your friends, but it just isn’t as pretty while doing it.
-
Nov 6, 2021The sacrifices are understandable, but World War Z is a good adaptation to Nintendo’s hardware that, even with it flaws, shines when played with friends.
-
Nov 23, 2021World War Z is another example of an impressive “I can’t believe they got that on Switch” game. The entire experience is fully fit onto the Switch, with tons of zombies on screen and plenty of action all around. World War Z suffers from being very repetitive and, at times, boring, with a story that is fairly generic and uninteresting. It’s also less fun to play alone than it is to play with friends. That said, if you’re looking for a decent zombie shooter than will technically impress, then World War Z may be your game.
-
Nov 5, 2021World War Z is an unremarkable zombie shooter that serves up a decent five-odd hours of action if you can find a few friends to play with. It's repetitive stuff; basic and unsurprising for the most part, but this Switch port is solid, managing to provide the full-fat experience without too much in the way of technical issues or other shortcomings. If you're in the mood for blazing through bland masses of zombies with a few friends in tow, this one's got you covered – just don't expect much more than that.
