    If you like Aliens or strategy in real time, Aliens: Dark Descent is the game for you. Don’t come to it as a brainless blast-a-thon though - you will need to be cunning to finish off the threat!

    Aliens: Dark Descent sees Tindalos serve up a cracking RTS that manages to capture the essence of this terrifying sci-fi series whilst giving players plenty of sweet strategy to sink their teeth into. Tweaking the established XCOM setup to better suit the nature of the enemy at hand, this is an Aliens adventure that leans into stealth, studious preparation, consideration of resources and slow-burn exploration as you manoeuvre through evocative environments whilst attempting not to disturb the deadly xenomorph hordes. There are a few rough edges here and there, and some strategy fans may mourn the loss of individual unit control, but overall this is one express elevator to hell we absolutely recommend taking.

    Aliens: Dark Descent does a great job of mashing up tactical action and the tension and fear of its source material. Not without its pain points however such as the lip syncing during cutscenes, controller buttons not being recognized usually when in the heat of battle, and some other bugs and glitches. I commend these developers for taking so many different things and successfully putting them together to deliver a wonderful tactical strategy game, some more time gestating and this one would have been ready to really burst forth and do some real damage.

    Aliens: Dark Descent is an intense tactical game with a thick atmosphere of horror and fierce battles, which in its best moments gives an unforgettable experience. But it's obvious that Tindalos Interactive didn't have enough time and money to realize all their ideas.

    For me this gameplay and atmosphere is 11/10!
    A specially when I remember watching the aliens movie as a kid!great job!

    Absolutely love this game! Love the atmosphere, actions, RTS aspect to it, the lore. Also runs absolutely stunning on my Series X

It captures everything which made the film so memorable, from the overwhelming anxiety of being constantly hunted to the small nods and references throughout. It’s super fun to play with a very addictive gameplay loop. It’s one of those games which you simply can’t wait to get back to. There are some really interesting mechanics around risk / reward which keep you strategising. You can see the love, care and attention which has gone into making it shining through in every scene. Sure, there are a few bugs here and there but nothing that you can’t work around or that gets in the way, but that’s the only reason this isn’t a 10 for me. Im sure they’ll be patched so don’t stress about them in a few months. We’ve already had such a good year for games and this is continuing the pattern. It’s incredible value priced where it is at launch. Fantastic work from everyone at Tindalos Interactive - can’t wait to see what they do next!… Expand

With great graphics, good gameplay, lots of content and interesting mechanics, this is definitely one of the best strategy games released in 2023. And I think I'm not exaggerating when I say that very few games of the genre released this year will have such high quality. So, whether you're a fan of Alien or strategy works, Aliens: Dark Descent manages to be a great option to invest your time.… Expand

    This game is awesome! There are small disadvantages to this game, but they are not very big. All fans of the Alien universe must play this game!

    Man, why was this made instead of isolation 2 ? Who knows. I did not enjoy this game
