Behind Sol Cresta lies the desire for redemption of a Platinum Games wounded in pride since Star Fox Zero. A Shoot 'em up with ancient inspirations but aware of coming into the world in 2022, capable of introducing a huge variety of innovative and brilliant mechanics but that exaggerate with the amount of its contents, which become almost suffocating. Excellent work done on accessibility in a genre in which it is not obvious to have so much freedom of approach, less brilliant than done in terms of legibility, crippled by a shallow color palette and a difficult understanding of the layout of the individual stages. Absolutely unacceptable that its plot has been cut and is being sold separately in a DLC priced at € 10.- Everyeye.it

Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis could and should have been the most convenient and immediate solution to review the entire Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, especially given what Square Enix is trying to achieve with the disputed Remake Trilogy. Unfortunately, however, the Japanese giant has bet on a damn confusing structure and a gacha component that risk resulting in the detestable phenomenon of pay-to-win. It's a real shame because, despite the limits imposed by the poor customization of the units, which during battles limits the feasible strategies and opens the door to monotony, the combat system of Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is very valid and what's more the product can count on a truly delightful artistic direction. If for our part we feel like not recommending it to newbies, who due to the episodic formula would understand little or nothing about the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII, historical fans could instead find it a pleasant pastime and, between one mission and another, discover some new details on their favorites.- Everyeye.it

Sacred 2 Remaster is a preservation effort, rather than a modernization. Longtime fans will benefit, finally being able to explore the world of Ancaria again on next-gen systems. Beyond that, however, the remaster doesn't introduce any significant improvements that would encourage a purchase outright. It remains a piece of gaming history that's refreshing to see brought to new generations. But nostalgia aside—and despite the budget price—it's undeniable that fans of the genre can now find significantly more satisfying experiences for the same money.- Everyeye.it

Crash Team Rumble left us with mixed feelings. Although it is able to entertain for a few hours, with its frenetic games that see the confrontation between the beloved protagonists and villains of the saga, it is impossible not to notice worrying lack of content and a balance that would require a lot of additional work. If we add to this a non-optimal server population, it is really difficult to foresee a bright future for the new work of Toys for Bob, especially if we consider how rich and qualitatively surprising the market for free to play competitive games is.- Everyeye.it

It does so with a title that takes the most popular features of the J-RPG, amalgamating them with the intriguing vehicle system and dropping everything into a fascinating and picturesque imagery. Asterix & Obelix Slap Them All 2 takes up the strengths and critical points of its predecessor, because both in terms of visual and gameplay it has confirmed itself as an overly conservative sequel. There are some small but welcome improvements in terms of variety of levels but the experience is not characterized by particular creative flashes and in the long run it becomes repetitive. In any case, we are talking about a decent scrolling fighting game that is above all pleasant to look at, thanks to the successful cartoony presentation of the image. After the excellent Monark, it seems that FuRyu is struggling a lot to hit the target. To demonstrate this, Aquria's latest effort has unfortunately proven to be yet another half-successful action RPG: a galvanizing combat system that pays attention to customization is counterbalanced in this case by a narrative structure devoid of character, a defeatist level design and, more generally, from a graphics sector that is a few generations behind. Add to the cocktail a limited longevity and the shortage of secondary content, and you will hardly be able to justify the outlay requested on day one by the publisher NIS America.- Everyeye.it

The Precinct has everything it needs to put on a great show, but it forgets the most important thing: entertainment. It starts with an intriguing idea and develops it through a solid procedural structure... which, however, begins to creak too quickly. The narrative is stripped down to the bare bones, the game world is fascinating but remains superficial, and the gameplay, despite some brilliant intuition, struggles to renew itself over time. And yet, there are moments in which everything seems to work: hair-raising chases, a well-crafted moral system and that pinch of satisfaction in enforcing the law - at least while it lasts. Those who want to immerse themselves in the guardian of law and order might find something interesting here. For everyone else, The Precinct risks turning into a long, monotonous patrol.- Everyeye.it

Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust is a strange and half-successful experiment. Stripped of the crafting and all the secondary activities that characterized the vast world of Athia, the DLC focuses everything on the narrative, revealing an apparently essential background in order to continue exploring Frey's adventure. Without detracting from the quality of the plot, which in its final stages manages to reserve even unsettling twists, the downloadable content basically acts as a glue between Forspoken and its possible sequel, which at this point could really be part of the plans for the future of Square Enix. If we greatly appreciated the changes made to the combat system and the great focus placed on the cooperation between the two protagonists, we declare ourselves dissatisfied with the overall longevity of the DLC, in our opinion not exactly suitable for the entrance ticket (€ 12.50). With good reason, the purchase of In Tanta We Trust is recommended only for those few who loved the main game and would like to continue digging into the ever-rich mythology of Athia.- Everyeye.it

Ultimately, the revival of Maiden of Black Water on modern hardware is a welcome operation but which is partly a wasted opportunity. The remaster will allow fans of the genre to rediscover an interesting experiment among survival horror, but greater care in realization would have made the last episode of Project Zero usable by a much wider audience. Despite the years that have passed since the first release and the absence of the technical limits imposed by exclusivity on Wii U, no additional effort has been made to improve a title with not properly refined mechanics. If over the years the Project Zero series has struggled to renew itself and has gradually crystallized into an aging playful formula, this new edition does nothing to remove Maiden of Black Water from the ancient spectrum of its roots.- Everyeye.it

Romeo is a DeadMan is a product that has sparked deep reflection in us: we're happy that a figure like SUDA51 is still active in the global gaming scene and that he's still capable of infusing his creations with such a recognizable stylistic imprint, but it's also true that Grasshopper Manufacture seems anchored in an outdated, almost anachronistic, game development philosophy that needs a breath of fresh air to compete, or even survive, in the ever-changing action genre. While on the one hand, we find a manneristically varied yet solid gameplay structure and an artistic direction that oozes style from every pore, on the other, we must point out a less than rosy situation in terms of level design and the presence of poorly crafted gameplay devices.- Everyeye.it

The only real problem of Tencent's free to play is its being trapped in that cage which is the mobile platform, where for trivial technical reasons it is unable to express itself at its best.
