    It just doesn’t scream next-gen to me, despite being a really fun arcade shooter. Still, I did have a lot of fun with it, and I’d at least suggest checking out the demo if you’re interested.

    You can tell even from the UI that Spartan Assault is a mobile game re-edited for a next-generation console. Missions are too short and repetitious, and the shooting system worked better with a touchscreen.

    As a twin stick shooter, Halo: Spartan Assault is a decent game, but as an iteration to the Halo series, it leaves much to be desired both in story and content. Spartan Assault offers 30 short missions that, without the skulls, are an easy challenge for the player. The coop missions are the only pleasant additions, but there are only 5, in top of that, completing them also takes a very short time. Maybe if the single player missions from the campaign had received the same treatment, but that was not the case.

    Without any real ambition or challenging design powering it, Halo: Spartan Assault is bland, unremarkable and far too safe given the potential of a twin-stick shooter spin-off.

    Very fun game. I owned the title on Win8 also but the addition of co-op makes it a definite purchase. Would love to see a sequel with moreVery fun game.     There is nothing specifically wrong with this came, it was nice to play but overall it does not feel like a full game.     All the same, this game has one special achievement. This is by far the worst twin-stick shooter I've ever played. The developers have done aAll the same, this game has one special achievement. This is by far the worst twin-stick shooter I've ever played. The developers have done a good job of giving a similar experience to players, in particular fans of the Halo franchise.

    There are three key points that greatly spoil the impression of the game. The first is the inability to play local co-op, only multiplayer. Secondly, it is a donation system for buying weapons. And thirdly - the company is very weak, the levels are short and uninteresting.

    Conclusion - This game is a failed spin-off, for me. I don’t know who came up with the idea to make a sequel after that, but it remained in oblivion on mobile platforms, where such rubbish is the place. Glory to Ukraine!    … Expand
