Pokémon Legends Z-A, in keeping with the series' tradition, is a controversial creation. Game Freak manages, as always, to create a fun and enjoyable adventure, with gameplay that is well-integrated across its various components, but it fails to shake off some now endemic critical issues. The gameplay formula is experimental enough, demonstrating the team's willingness to try different solutions, but it is set in a somewhat flat and personality-less setting. Fortunately, Lumiose City makes up for it with a wide range of activities, both primary and secondary, and delivers what I can wholeheartedly call a good Pokémon experience. Despite its flaws, it brings a slight breath of fresh air and stands as an interesting evolution of Arceus. After years of stagnation, despite some timid steps forward on the gameplay front, we can say that Pokémon Legends confirms its most interesting approach in the series, at least in the Switch era.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard arrives at its launch with a proposal that unfortunately shows signs of a development that is, to say the least, troubled, which over the years has seen the project repeatedly change shape and prerogatives. Although Bioware's work has all the pieces of a great role-playing epic, these compose a ludonarrative mosaic that is at times disorganized, to the point of undermining the power of the story and the solidity of the gameplay. When the game shifts into gear, and it does, it is easy to recognize in The Veilguard the best traits of the Dragon Age saga, but it is still difficult to overlook all those asides that, on the other hand, consistently dilute the overall effectiveness of the offering. Even on the gameplay side, we have detected some significant dissonance, although the action "turn" orchestrated by Bioware proves to be functional overall. This play of light and shadow extends to every aspect of the experience, although it is ultimately the positive elements of the whole that triumph. In essence, The Veilguard is certainly not the best chapter in the Bioware saga, but this does not mean it deserves to be labeled as a role-playing game of little value. It is a work that knows how to be satisfying, however we are convinced that, with a more coherent overall vision, it could have given much more.

Those who own a copy of the original version can leave New Play Control on the shop shelves. Ultimately, our encounter with Rematch gave us generally positive feelings. Sloclap has reinterpreted the rules of the game of soccer, declining them in a game context dedicated to pure fun, free from all the complications that have occurred in the greatest exponents of the genre in recent years. If you are passionate about the 'most beautiful game in the world' or are looking for a sports title to try your hand at, perhaps in the company of a close-knit group of friends, you should give it a chance: despite a certain lack of content and a few too many uncertainties in the management of physics, it is one of the most genuinely fun multiplayer titles that we have tried in recent times. Will it be able to make its way among the big names in the industry and stand as the 'next big thing' in a competitive landscape such as that of multiplayer titles? Posterity will decide.

Confining ghosts is a gameplay dynamic that is damned complex and difficult to master, but given its uniqueness, it wouldn't surprise us at all if this allowed the franchise to compete with the best exponents of the genre. WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is a difficult product to classify. While the developers at Leenzee Games have stuck too closely to FromSoftware's original formula, even imitating its narrative style, the Chinese team deserves credit for trying (in some cases) to shake things up when it comes to gameplay. In terms of dialogue, cinematics, and recreation of real-world locations, the DLC performs quite well and offers mostly well-crafted puzzles, with the exception of one puzzle that was interesting on paper but not without its rough edges in practice. Narratively, this content has its moments, but in our opinion, it failed to fully exploit the potential of the main elements constituting the story, which proved anything but essential. MotoGP 23 proves to be a perfect game for those approaching the world championship for the first time or for those who have skipped a couple of editions of the Milestone series. The neural aids and AI in general work, the new career has more bite and depth than previous incarnations and the dynamic weather conditions (including Flag to Flag) give a new dimension to the racing. Those who have played the 2022 edition, however, will find very few differences in the driving model (however improved) or on the graphics front. Resident Evil 5 is not a masterpiece. It lacks originality, and reuses old gameplay mechanics that seem too scheming and stiff for the next gen standards. RE 5 stands in a sort of Limbo: it doesn't have the dynamism of an action game, and it lacks emotional transport typical of a survival horror. Neverness To Everness is a perhaps overly ambitious title that attempts to do a little bit of everything without truly excelling in any single aspect. Indeed, while all of the game's components are enjoyable, none of them truly leave a lasting impression; ultimately, one ends up appreciating the sheer variety of the offering more than its actual quality. All of this translates into an experience that is certainly entertaining during the first few hours of gameplay, but one that risks faltering in its attempt to sustain player engagement over the long haul. It is now up to the developers, therefore, to rise to the challenge through post-launch support that simultaneously adds new content and refines what is already available.

After the Fall is ultimately a fun co-op shooter with very solid gunplay, penalized along the way by a general lack of variety. Net of a sustained pace, which winks at the classic arcade light gun shooter, the Vertigo Games title can also be enjoyable for the players more sensitive to motion sickness, thanks to the numerous options available for comfort. The polished Complete Edition for PSVR 2 can also benefit from the technical upgrades of the viewer, starting from the exceptional haptic feedback of the Sense controllers which manages to restore an even more visceral feeling to the use of weapons. Having a focus on multiplayer, the lifecycle of the game will largely depend on post-launch support and user traffic on the servers, which we hope thanks to cross play will remain good, at least in the medium term. The evaluation, while taking into account the huge amount of problems can not be negative: Dawnguard offers an exceptional number of hours of additional gameplay, new areas and extremely interesting quest; as well as lot of new pieces of equipment.

Eclipse is way better than the previous DLC Awakening: an expansion pack with four original maps and new monstrosities for the acclaimed Zombie mode. The price is still high, but hardcore fans of Call of Duty will be delighted by the design of the new playgrounds.

Aliens Vs Predator is a standard First Person Shooter, but thanks to the Predator's and Xenomorph's campaigns, it entertains old and new players. Even the multiplayer mode is funny and well structured, but the graphics engine is not that good.

The brilliant rock-rolling simulator from ACE is an ironic blast and an artistic achievement of the indie scene. Despite its poor balancing and short campaign, rolling boulders to smash known historical characters is a ton of fun.

It's an interesting space RTS, but the sub sectors of the maps make them feel much smaller than they actually are, and the units' pathfinding isn't always up to the task. On the other hand, gameplay mechanics do work really well, and there's depth enough for the veterans to enjoy.

By introducing an exploration component and significantly larger maps, the team at Marvelous attempted to renew and expand the gameplay of DAEMON X MACHINA: Titanic Scion, but the implementation wasn't entirely successful. The extremely repetitive and schematic nature of the secondary activities doesn't justify the presence of such an expansive world, which, among other things, negatively impacted loading times and the game's stability. The frenetic combat system and deep level of customization remain DAEMON X MACHINA's most lethal weapons, as well as the valid reasons why fans of the genre might love it despite its flaws.

Carmageddon remains an unique game, worthy of your attention even if you weren’t there when the original one came out. It may be graphically not excellent, but Max Damage is full of modes, has a long campaign, three difficulty levels and a really working online mode. If you want to have fun in front of your tv without complications, although a few slow loadings may turn your nose up, Max Damage will surely do.

Metroid: Other M has missed some of the expectations. The gameplay is flawed by some choices, and the control system is far from perfection. Still it has its merits: graphics are outstanding, and so is the combat, but it lacks most of the atmosphere of the previous installments. Other M is surely a Metroid, it represents a new way in the series, but it cannot stand as its definitive evolution.
