    Lamentum is equal parts frightening and enticing, serving up a scintillating world filled with Lovecraftian horrors and remnants of old school Resident Evil and Silent Hill. It is a must-play for any fans of the genre looking for challenging gameplay, deep mythos, and an alluring narrative.

    Naraka: Bladepoint is definitely one of the best titles that China has brought to screens in the last period. An original interpretation of the Battle Royale genre that takes advantage of the classic strengths of the multiplayer experience with many players, but which innovates in key aspects such as the combat system.

    Naraka: Bladepoint offers a refreshing alternative to both the tired sci-fi or high fantasy settings and mechanics of familiar battle royale games, with a focus on fast and skillful melee combat and movement that can feel like an awesome martial arts film come to life. But the focus almost entirely on close quarters fighting can grow repetitive and frustrating, too, especially against the much better players that seem to dominate the space. Although it pushes microtransactions past the point of annoyance, they don’t radically impact the game, which is ultimately much more skill-based than that of other games in the genre.

While Naraka’s combat may be far from perfect, there is enough depth here for those that are willing to scratch below the surface. If you’re looking for a BR with a unique twist, then Naraka: Bladepoint could be the game you’re looking for.

    With excellent combat and traversal mechanics and a unique atmosphere, Naraka: Bladepoint stands out from the battle royale crowd. Cluttered interface, controls that require some tweaking, the bad implementation of microtransactions, and general lack of content, however, damage the experience a bit, preventing it from becoming a must-buy for fans of the genre. The foundation is still extremely solid, so with proper support, Naraka: Bladepoint definitely has the chance to rival all of the most popular battle royale games on the market.

The combat and movement systems help keep everything feels absurdly fluid; the upgrades and hero customisation help you find a playstyle that fits you. It’s fun, but the technical issues need ironing out before it’s a whole-hearted must-play.

    Its a wonderful game with polished combat i wish rhe servers were better but besides that i highly recommend its only 20$

    Pro:
    -Great gameplay, suitable for the vast majority of players from basic to demanding skills, has an interesting melee combat system
    -Good graphics
    The gameplay is old (BR) but still interesting
    - Hero skills are well-balanced. Personally I prefer Kurumi, which is a healer character. Unlike other games, it emphasises the teamwork while the battle. The strong connection between the teamates fight together also amazes me.

    - Movement. Yes the map of NARAKA is pretty huge - but you could make yourself move faster by their grappling spools. Also the design of aiming your enemies by grappling spools also brings the
    enjoyment. You could use the target system to solve those enemies prefer lurking around.

    The game has alot of potential but the devs dont seem to manage to make this game balanced.

    First there was the OP Great sword.... long reaching weapon. too much damage no skill needed. insta counterattack after blocking.... want to make at least a chance to win??? use this weapon. many noob players use it and they even think they are good. now they added a new hero. lots of dmg and almost not beatable after they using ultimate. this game is starting about just taking the most hero or weapon. a healer is almost worthless in pvp games    … Expand

Also, it should have gone the route of the free to play model similar to Overwatch 2, it would have benefited from it.

    UPDATE: They listened and made it free to play, but still didn't roll back the censored art, and never spiced up the boring melee combat. Which feels like a water down ninja gaiden. PS. Turning off memory integrity just to play, is foul.    … Expand

    Absolutely unplayable at the moment. 50-60% of the lobbies are filled with asian players (200+ Ping) making the game unplayble.
